UFC announced its UFC 77: Hostile Territory event on Tuesday. The event, which will take place on October 20, is to emanate from US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Toplining the card is a UFC Middleweight Championship bout between Anderson Silva and Rich Franklin. Since capturing the title from Franklin at UFC 64, Silva has defeated Travis Lutter in a non-title bout and Nate Marquardt in a title fight. Franklin is coming off wins over Jason MacDonald and Yushin Okami.
Also announced is a heavyweight bout between former UFC Heavyweight Champion Tim Sylvia and returning star Brandon Vera.
