ECW 8/7/2007 Youngstown, Ohio:
We are shown a recap of CM Punk beating Elijah Burke and Tommy Dreamer in a triple threat match from last week, earning Punk a fifteen minute of fame challenge tonight against ECW Champion John Morrison.
ECW Intro is shown.
Match 1: The Boogeyman vs. Jesse Guilmette
The Boogyeman has a wig on that he immediately rips off and we are shown him eating worms at the moment. Not a nice sight. Boogeyman works away at Guilmette and nails a clothesline and body slam. Boogeyman with a running clothesline in the corner and nails a front power slam. Boogeyman goes up top and nails a big splash for the win.
Winner: The Boogeyman
Rating: 1/4 * (I was impressed with the splash the Boogeyman did but everything else was typical squash.)
The Boogeyman grabs some worms and feeds them to Guilmette. Matt Striker comes out with a microphone. Striker calls Boogeyman some smart words and tells him to get out of his life. Striker distracts Boogeyman as Big Daddy V attacks Boogeyman from behind and nails a running splash into the corner. Big Daddy V nails a samoan drop and lands three big elbow drops as Matt sings his praises. (It's interesting how there building up for the obviously upcoming Boogeyman vs. Big Daddy V match. It was a good segment and Striker was his entertaining self.)

We are shown the replay from moments ago of what happened between Boogeyman, Big Daddy V, and Matt Striker.
Match 2: Elijah Burke vs. Tommy Dreamer
Burke with a side headlock but Dreamer clotheslines Burke over the top rope. Burke flips and slams Dreamer off the apron unto the floor! Burke nails his delayed elbow drop from the corner for a one count. Burke applies a surfboard but Dreamer counters with a back suplex. Dreamer with multiple punches and applies a Texas cloverleaf but Burke makes it to the ropes. Dreamer catapaults Burke into the corner. Burke goes up top and Tommy follows and goes for a superplex but Burke counters and hot shots Dreamer into the ropes. Elijah nails the Elijah Express for the win!
Winner: Elijah Burke
Rating: 3/4 * (Decent but short match between these two. I really enjoy the Elijah Burke character and I think Tommy Dreamer deserves at least one win once in a while.)
ECW Champion John Morrison is backstage. Morrison sings his praises about himself and asks Punk if he can handle him. Morrison says this is the end for Punk and nobody will remember his name after tonight. (ECW badly needs a backstage interviewer so the announcers don't have to ask the questions, and a general manager would be nice. Raw has William Regal and Jonathon Coachman and Smackdown has Teddy Long. After Paul Heyman left the wrestlers have been making the matches themselves, I think ECW deserves a general manager as well.)
Tonight is the fifteen minutes of fame challenge.

Match 3: The Miz with Kelly Kelly, Brooke, and Layla vs. Balls Mahoney
The Miz says he's a chick magnet which is the exact same thing he says every week, woman want him and men are jealous of him. Yawn. This is a rematch from last week. Mahoney with a side headlock and a shoulder block takedown. Mahoney with multiple punches as the fans chant balls. Miz sends Mahoney over the top rope to the outside as Kelly checks on him. Mahoney smiles back at her. A TNA chant starts out! Miz botches a front slam to Mahoney for a two count. Miz with a knee lift into a neck breaker which he calls the reality check for the win.
Winner: The Miz
Rating: 1/4 * (I'm trying to give Miz a fair shot but he botches moves every week he's the ring. He's got a good character and some hot Divas rooting him on, shouldn't he be better in the ring then?)
After the match Extreme Expose celebrate with The Miz as Kelly looked on in concern for Mahoney.
CM Punk is backstage. Punk says he has focus and dedication on his side tonight. Punk promises John Morrison will never forget the name CM Punk after tonight.

The raw rebound is shown focusing on the return of Vince McMahon, the United States Congress, and the announcement that theres another McMahon running around out there.
We are shown a recap of Stevie Richards defeating Kevin Thorne two weeks in a row. Stevie Richards is backstage. Richards says extreme things happen on ECW when Kevin Thorne attacks him and spears him into the interview area poles. Thorne then tosses Richards into a file cabinet and stomps away at him as referees break him off of Richards.

Punk with a back leg sweep and applies a sleeperhold. A staredown ensues at 11:45 and Morrison with a snapmare and kicks away at Punk. Morrison with a kick right to Punk's face. Punk jumps the ropes and nails a springboard clothesline for a two count. Punk with an enziguri for another two count. Morrison counters with a back breaker/neck breaker combo for a two count at 1:30. Punk with a sunset flip but Morrison rolls through and slingshots Punk but Punk catches his balance on the top rope and sunset flips Morrison for a two count! Morrison counters and slips off the ropes but still connects with a jumping enziguri and covers but only two! Time is running out and Punk counters Morrison's corkscrew neckbreaker and nails the GTS for the win!
Winner: CM Punk at 5 seconds left
Rating: *** (Very good, PPV quality type of match. We've seen Punk/Morrison a million times but they deliver in the ring and I'm sure they will at SummerSlam as well. I expect CM Punk to finally win the title at SummerSlam.)
CM Punk earned his title match against John Morrison at SummerSlam and celebrates in the ring to close the show.
Overall a much better show this week than the last two weeks. I'm digging the Boogeyman/Big Daddy V feud as well as the CM Punk vs. John Morrison weekly. My only negative is The Miz vs. Balls Mahoney match but it's seems to be giving both something to do with Kelly seemingly interested in Mahoney for some reason. Elijah vs. Tommy was an ok match but where has Marcus Cor Von been? His picture is still in the ECW intro, is he still with the roster? 6/10.
Have a good week everyone, I will since I'm celebrating my Birthday tomorrow! See ya, Jason
