- Latest News on PTW Wrestling : 'Glory Days', Fri 17th August, Luton!
Here in the PTW Office, it's all party hats and balloons, and (with thanks to Tommy Stevens!) chocolate chip cookies - because on the 30th of July, it's the birthday of PTW Owner Peter Staniforth himself. Peter is gratefully accepting e-cards, emails, and gifts; but despite this he has no urge to say how old he will be on the day! Despite the party atmosphere, we've still got time to tell you the latest news (and there's lots of it!) as we get closer to Power Trip Wrestling presenting "Glory Days", on Friday August 17th, in Luton!
SHABAZZ'S MYSTERY CORNERMAN!
And so, the mystery continues.... After stating that we'd find out next week who would be in his corner, Shabazz has curiously decided to leave the announcement to the night of the show. Whether this is mind games with his opponent Stixx, who has taken on the advice of Lucian for the evening, or what; we are not sure. The same names keep being mentioned by PTW fans and wrestlers, as to who Shabazz could possibly be considering having in his corner, and it's shocking to say the least. What we DO know, is this match and country-wide feud, is taking on another strange twist right here in PTW!
CRUISERWEIGHT CHAOS!
After the announcement that in the upcoming months, PTW will be introducing a Cruiserweight Title, the PTW office phone has been ringing off the hook with wrestlers from all around the country wanting to be involved in the division. With that, PTW have booked a match that could be considered a taster for all things to come. The match will be a 'Six Man Cruiserweight Chaos' match, and will feature Matt Naylor, Seb Drea, G 'The Ghetto Superstar', Danny Stevens, Dan Ryder, and Johnny Lee. Luton Rugby Club often has aeroplanes pass over it, but not even they will be safe with this match, when it starts!
POTENTIAL SHOW-STEALER!
At PTW, we like to book matches that have the potential to steal a show and leave people talking. This match brings together two of the best wrestlers that the North of England has to offer, but brought down here to Luton for a whole new audience. 'Mr 50-50' Dan Evans of the tag team LDT:The Movie, has made one prior PTW appearance in May, with his tag team partner Cameron Kraze; but on August 17th he has demanded the opportunity to show what he can do as a singles wrestler. As soon as this demand was made, a phonecall came into our office from another man who appeared for PTW in May - Martin Kirby. The last time we saw him, Kirby put in a superb but ultimately losing performance against El Ligero. This time, he'll be determined to come out on the winning end of the match. Both men are extremely talented, and this will be sure to be one of the best matches in PTW's short but loud history so far!
TAG TEAM TROUBLE!
Here at PTW, we love tag team wrestling. And on August 17th, we'll be seeing two new teams arrive in Luton. Hailing from Portsmouth, the team known as 'Youth Gone Wild' - Will Davison & Ant Lacayo (with their manager Hailee Jefferson) will be making their PTW debut! Many are speculating that Will Davison's presence in PTW is purely at the request of Peter Staniforth, as these two are long time friends. Their opponents hail from UCW, and are the returning (and angrier than ever) Gangster; and his new tag team partner Hubert! This one could get crazy!
