    ECW 7/24/2007 Fresno, California:

Justin Roberts introduces the self proclaimed "greatest ECW Champion" John Morrison. Morrison makes his way to the ring with his ECW title which he retained at the Great American Bash by beating CM Punk. Morrison says his mission is to make believers out of all of us. He talks about beating CM Punk at GAB. Morrison says Punk will spend the rest of his career in ECW without a ECW title. Morrison calls himself the new face of extreme and says he's a fighting champion. He will give someone the opportunity at 15 minutes of stardom. If anybody can last 15 minutes or beat him in 15 minutes they will get a future title opportunity. He introduces a guy who he says he's scared of and some little skinny guy comes down to the ring. Morrison calls for a referee.

Match 1: ECW Champion John Morrison vs. Jobber (They never said his name)

Morrison knocks down jobber with a headbutt and nails his corkscrew neckbreaker for the win. It's over after 34 seconds with a time of 14 minutes and 26 seconds remaining.

    Winner: John Morrison

Rating: No Stars (This was more of a segment and was a good one at that. It got Morrison over and elevated him into a great heel tonight.)

Morrison says the guy couldn't get the job done and that was the guys brush of greatness as the fans chant you suck at Morrison.

Later tonight John Morrison will have some real competition as it is Morrison and Elijah Burke vs. CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer.

A Triple H video is shown. The game will return at SummerSlam.

Match 2: Kevin Thorne vs. Stevie Richards

Thorne with a clothesline and takes the advantage but Richards comes back with some kicks and lands a dropkick. Thorne trips Richards off the apron and Richards flips forward to the floor by the announce table. Thorne nails a back breaker and then follows with a scoop slam and elbow drop for a two count. Richards fights back with punches and a couple of side kicks but Thorne catches Richards and spinebusters him for a two count. Thorne places Richards on the top rope and goes for a crucifix powerbomb but Richards counters with a backslide for the surprising win!

    Winner: Stevie Richards

Rating: 1/2 * (Nice surprise here! I was expecting to type Kevin Thorne's name as the winner but Stevie won. Hopefully this isn't just a one time thing and that next week there will be a rematch and Thorne wins. They do that so much in the WWE.)

Richards celebrates his victory as Thorne looks on with frustration.

We are shown Extreme Expose dancing for the Miz from last weeks ECW. "The self proclaimed chick magnet" is up next.

    -Commercial-

    Winner: The Miz

Rating: 1/2 * (Miz is an entertaining guy, he just needs to work more on his wrestling. He botched a couple of moves in this match but I can see him getting over as a heel who thinks he's a ladies man.)

The Miz says last week Extreme Expose gave him a surprise by dancing for him but tonight he has a surprise for them. He asks Layla, Kelly, and Brooke to come into the ring. They do and music starts playing and Miz begins to dance for them. Expose join in and all four dance together.

Big Daddy V and Matt Striker are backstage making their way to the ring, they are up next.

    -Commercial-

Two On One Handicap Match: Big Daddy V with Matt Striker vs. Jimmy Cruz and Victor Hevino (I couldn't really understand Roberts when he announced their names it might be different)

(Roberts nor Tazz and Styles ever said which one is who so I have no idea whose who) We are shown The Boogeyman getting destroyed by Big Daddy V two weeks ago as Striker joins Tazz and Styles on commentary. Big Daddy V headbutts both guys and press slams one guy. Big Daddy V with a samoan drop and a one handed spinebuster. Big Daddy V splashes both men in the corner and scoop slams one and then nails a spinning sidewalk slam of one guy right onto the other guy for the win.

    Winner: Big Daddy V

Rating: 1/4 * (Squash. Plain and simple, nothing more than to push Big Daddy V along with Matt Striker.)

After the match, Striker celebrates with Big Daddy V.

Burke counters and tags in Morrison. Morrison with an uppercut and Dreamer catches Morrison and fallaway slams him. Dreamer then slingshots Morrison into the corner and covers for a two count. Dreamer nails a running bulldog for another two count. Dreamer then applies a texas cloverleaf but Morrison makes it to the ropes. Morrison slides through the ropes out of Dreamers way and counters with a jumping enziguri. Morrison with a front dropkick and tags in Burke. Burke with a kick to Dreamer's head for a two count. Burke applies a chin lock but Dreamer fights out with a jaw breaker. Burke quickly counters and kicks Dreamer right in the back of the head for a two count. Burke with another chin lock and Dreamer once again fights out but Burke spears Dreamer into the corner and nails his springboard spinning elbow drop and tags out to Morrison. John assaults Tommy and applies a body scissors but Dreamer counters with an electric chair. Morrison tags out to Elijah who slams Dreamer's head into the mat repeatedly. Burke chokes Dreamer in the ropes and nails a double sledge over the top rope unto Dreamer on the apron. Burke tags out to Morrison who nails a springboard front dropkick for a two count. Dreamer finally makes the hot tag to CM Punk. Morrison quickly tags Burke so he doesn't have to face Punk. Punk then knocks down Burke and jumps over the top rope and landing a crossbody unto Morrison! Punk with a springboard clothesline off the top rope unto Burke. Punk with an exploder suplex for a two count. Punk with a high knee in the corner and running bulldog for a two count. Nitro comes in to break the count but Punk surprises him with an enziguri! Punk catches Burke and nails the GTS for the win!

Winners: CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer

Rating: ** 3/4 (Really good main event and even better than Morrison vs. Punk at The Great American Bash. All four styles clashed well in the ring tonight and this was one of ECW's more promising main events in a while.)

Punk and Dreamer celebrate as Morrison looks on. Punk tells Morrison he wants that ECW title to close the show.

Overall tonights show was definately a rocky one. It had it's goods and sadly it's bads. I really liked the main event which was given enough time. I like that Miz has a personality and it seems to be getting over with the fans since there booing him. Richards win was a surprise considering Thorne hardly ever loses and Big Daddy V continues squashing opponents until the eventual return of The Boogeyman. Morrison is a very good heel but we need more faces on this show. I mean we can't see Morrison vs. Punk at every PPV. The only other face is Dreamer and I really doubt Vince would elevate Dreamer into a main event PPV ECW Title match. The heels are breaking out, we just need some more fresh faces! 5/10

See you all next week, Jason
