• Tito Santana WWI Interview, Reveals Vince McMahon's Original Name For Strike Force
  
  ARIBA! Today Tito Santana joined http://www.ClubWWI.com for a rare shoot interview that lasted nearly an hour. Tito spoke to James Guttman about a number of topics including offending Dusty Rhodes, asking to turn heel, harsh words for Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan as Champion, WrestleMania 1, why he didn't go to WCW, Girls in Cars, and more.
  
  One of the most interesting topics was Santana's revelation that Strike Force wasn't the original name Vince McMahon had for Tito's team with Rick Martel. Martel's partnership with Tom Zenk ended suddenly. The company went to Minnesota to talk Tom Zenk into staying. When they couldn't convince him, they told Tito that he would be teaming with Rick and pitched the idea for a team name:
  
  "They were gonna team us up and give us another name. Vince McMahon had told me that we were going be called the Border Patrol. At the time, there were a bunch of Mexicans that were crossing the border in a train that had died of heat exhaustion. And I told Vince, 'If you make me the Border Patrol, I'm gonna become a heel with all the Mexicans (because of all the Mexicans) that are dying crossing the border." The incident just happened. I think he thought about it for a while and ended up coming back with Strike Force."
