ECW 7/3/2007 Dallas, Texas:

ECW Intro is shown.

Tonight is CM Punk vs. Kevin Thorne in a Pick Your Poison match and at the Great American Bash is Nitro vs. Punk for the ECW Championship.

Match 1: Pick Your Poison Match: ECW Champion Johnny Nitro vs. Tommy Dreamer (CM Punk's choice)

Lock up and Dreamer with an arm drag. Nitro with a front kick and uppercut. Nitro applies a side headlock but Dreamer counters with a shoulder block takedown. Dreamer with a hip toss and scoop slam. Dreamer applies an arm lock but Nitro counters with an uppercut. Nitro goes up top but Dreamer pushes him stomach first into the ropes. Dreamer applies an abdominal stretch and cradles Nitro for a two count. Dreamer with a back break for two. Nitro counters with a flying armbar. Nitro puts his knee into Dreamer's shoulder and works on Dreamer's arm. Nitro with an arm wringer and covers for one. Dreamer counters and clotheslines Nitro and himself over the top rope. On the apron, Nitro counters Dreamer by hanging his arm across the rope and Nitro dropkicks Tommy off the apron.

-Commercial-

Nitro applies an arm lock but Dreamer rolls up Nitro for a two count. Johnny quickly goes back to Dreamer's arm and applies another arm lock. Nitro with some kicks to Dreamer's shoulder. Nitro nails his impressive spinning leg drop for a two count. Dreamer fights back but Nitro counters with an inverted arm breaker for two. Nitro with another arm bar. Dreamer slams Nitro back first into the corner but runs into an elbow from Nitro. Nitro on the top rope drives Dreamer shoulder first to the mat for two. Nitro misses an enziguri and Dreamer nails a running clothesline. Dreamer catches Nitro and nails a fall away slam. Dreamer places Nitro in the tree of woe and nails a baseball slide. Dreamer goes for the DDT but Nitro counters and slams Dreamer shoulder first to the mat and nails his front flipping neck breaker for the win.

Winner: Johnny Nitro

Rating: ** 3/4 (Really good technical match from Nitro and Dreamer. Both were really impressive especially Nitro with all of his submission holds and the way he worked on Dreamer's shoulder. He's really stepped up his game since winning the ECW Championship.)

We see the Raw rebound where Bobby Lashley won the beat the clock and will face John Cena for the WWE Championship at The Great American Bash.

A Boogeyman vignette is shown. (This was about 30 seconds long, which is about as long as Boogey match so there was not much difference here.)

A CM Punk vignette is shown.

Punk will face Kevin Thorne later tonight in a Pick Your Poison Match.

We are shown the ENTIRE CM Punk vs. Johhny Nitro match from Vengeance for the ECW Title. Which Nitro won. (Talk about wasting time. Do they not have enough wrestlers on this brand to wrestle? Are Punk, Dreamer, Nitro, and Thorne the only ones there tonight? What about Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, and Matt Striker?)

Up next is CM Punk vs. Kevin Thorne in the Pick Your Poison Match.

Match 2: Pick Your Poison Match: CM Punk vs. Kevin Thorne (Johnny Nitro's choice)

Lock up but Thorne with some elbows. Punk with a leg sweep and leg drop. Punk with a kick to Thorne's back for two. Thorne drives Punk back first into the corner. Punk with kicks to Thorne's knee and chest. Punk nails a running high knee for two. Thorne drop toe hold Punk into the ropes. Outside the ring, Thorne drives Punk back first into the fan barricade and apron. Punk nails a kick to Thorne's head and nails a senton splash over the top rope.

-Commercial-

Punk with an arm lock. Thorne catches Punk and hot shots him across the ropes for a one count. Thorne nails a flap jack and clothesline for two. Thorne applies a chin lock but Punk fights out with a boot and Thorne catches Punk and slams him. Thorne goes to the top rope and attempts a splash but CM Punk gets his knee up. Punk nails a running double sledge and a high knee in the corner. Punk with a running bulldog for a two count. Punk goes up top but Thorne catches him and Punk counters slingshotting Thorne back first across the ropes. Punk jumps the ropes and nails a flying clothesline for a two count. Thorne counters the GTS with a clothesline. Thorne goes for the crucifix bomb but Punk counters with an enziguri and rolls him up for the win.

Winner: CM Punk

Rating: ** 1/4 (Finally a good match that Kevin Thorne is involved in. He was good as was CM Punk tonight. Two good pick your poison matches and I'm looking forward for the upcoming Nitro/Punk bout for the title at The Great American Bash.)

After the match Johnny Nitro's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Thorne attack Punk from behind but Punk nails an enziguri to Thorne. Nitro cowards out to the entrance ramp and Nitro and Punk have a staredown as Nitro poses with his gold.

Overall tonights show only had two matches, but two good matches. The ECW roster really seems slim now a days. I hope we see more talent on this brand because lately I've been seeing too many vignettes and replays. 7/10.
