Chris Benoit, family found dead; RAW to serve as tribute

WWE.com reported Monday evening that Chris Benoit, along with his family, was found dead in his Atlanta home. He was forty.

WWE noted that there are no further details available. The residence is currently under investigation.

"Tonight’s Raw on USA Network will serve as a tribute to Chris Benoit and his family. WWE extends its sincerest thoughts and prayers to the Benoit family’s relatives and loved ones in this time of tragedy," noted the official WWE website. The show was originally advertised as a "memorial" for the dead Mr. McMahon character.

All main page WWE.com references to the McMahon storyline had been removed at press time.

Update: According to the Wrestling Observer, those found dead were Benoit, wife Nancy and son Daniel.
