Winner: Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch
Rating: ** ¼ (I felt this match could have went a lot longer and was cut down short due to their being nine matches tonight. Still it was a decent match but could have made three stars had it gotten more time.)
King Booker and Queen Sharmell are backstage. Sharmell warns Booker about his match tonight. Booker says his opponents have to look out for him and bow down to the royal Booker. They share a kiss.

Chavo crotches Yang and Jimmy falls back first down to the mat. Chavo then goes up top and finishes Yang with the frog splash for the win.
Winner: Chavo Guerrero
Rating: ** ¾ (The wrong cruiser won here. Chavo has done absolutely nothing with the belt and Yang is really impressive in the ring. I think the only reason Chavo won was because of their made tribute to Eddie before the match with the video package and WWE wanted his nephew to win. It was a really good match though.)
We see Vince’s limo getting exploded again.
Backstage Todd Grisham asks Bobby Lashley what are his thoughts about Vince McMahon passing away. Lashley says he wishes Vince was here to see him win the WWE title tonight!

Winner: Johnny Nitro (New ECW Champion!)
Rating: ** ¼ (Yet again not enough time and the crowd hated this match it seemed. They wanted Benoit and WWE disappointed them. I wasn’t though. I’m a fan of Nitro and I think he can really work in the ring, same as Punk. I’m glad they gave the belt to Nitro, we’ll see how he carries himself with it. The match itself was another decent bout.)
Nitro celebrates with his new ECW Championship.

Winner: Santino Marella by disqualification
Rating: ¼ * (I really don’t know why they gave Santino the belt if he’s going to be jobbed like that. Even though he won by disqualification he was still jobbed. This match should have been Santino vs. Carlito but you can’t have every match you want to happen, happen now can you.)
After the match Umaga squashes Santino in the corner with a running knee and goes up top and nails a huge splash. Umaga finishes off Marella with the samoan spike. Maria runs down to the ring to check on Marella.

Rating: ¼ * (Horrible match. Boring and repetitive. I would have settled for a Deuce N’ Domino vs. Major Brothers instead.)
After the match, Deuce N’ Domino attack Snuka and Sgt. Slaughter but Garea and Martel make the save. (JBL calls this entertaining. I think he better get his glasses fixed. Oh wait he doesn’t wear glasses. Well then he better get some!)

Winner: Candice Michelle (New Women’s Champion!)
Rating: ** (Yes! Finally Candice Michelle has won the women’s title! She has deserved this ever since ever since the beginning of 2006 and it’s finally happened. The match itself was a good women’s match and Candice crying after the match resembled to when Trish Stratus won her first title at Survivor Series 2001 and then Trish cried. I hope this is one of many title wins for Candice!)

Winner: John Cena
Rating: *** ½ (Really fun match. A really crazy one too! All five wrestled a back and forth, whose going to win it type of match and I really enjoy those. Cena won again (he hasn’t lost one PPV match in 2007!) I think it’s time now for a Cena vs. Orton feud.)
John Cena celebrates with the WWE Championship to close the show!
OVERALL: Vengeance was a good night of wrestling. Minus the Intercontinental and WWE Tag Team title bouts every match passed. The last chance and championship challenge matches were the two best of the night. And congrats on the amazing and beautiful Candice Michelle on winning her first Women’s belt; as well as Johnny Nitro both who are very deserving of getting them. The theme was Night of Champions which was a good gimmick but shouldn’t be done again for a while. There was nine matches so all the matches had to be shorter than usual plus backstage and former champions segments really cut down the time limit to them as well. Still I walked away from this PPV kind of like a champion myself since I bought it. 7/10
Have a good one everyone, Jason
