Burke pulls down his knee pads and goes for the Elijah Express but Benoit moves and he applies the sharpshooter! Burke taps!

    Winner: Chris Benoit by submission

Rating: ** (Good opener. Benoit and Burke really mess well. With more time this could have easily gotten past the *** mark but it only lasted around seven or eight minutes.)

After the match Benoit glances at the ECW Title and places his hand on the belt signaling that he wants the title.

Tonight is Punk vs. Cor Von, but up next Stephanie McMahon vows Vengeance.

    -Commercial-

We see a replay of Stephanie McMahon’s speech about her father from Raw. She vows vengeance on whoever did this to her dad.

Tomorrow at 12 noon the fans give their thoughts of who we think planed to kill Vince at WWE.COM.

Match 2: The Boogeyman vs. Shawn Alexander

Boogeyman nails the chokeslam powerbomb and that’s it.

    Winner: The Boogeyman

Rating: No Stars (Thankfully it didn’t last long but still since the match lasted 5 seconds, wouldn’t it have been better if we didn’t have this match at all.)

After the match Boogeyman spits worms into Alexander’s face.

Tonight either Punk or Cor Von will face Chris Benoit at Vengeace, but up next we’ll hear from Daniel Beck.

    -Commercial-

We see footage of a Daniel Beck interview momentarily.

Dreamer follows that up with a spinebuster of his own for a two count. Dreamer goes up top but Thorne crotches Tommy and Dreamer’s back falls hard to the mat. Thorne covers and gets the win.

    Winner: Kevin Thorne

Rating: ½ * (Thorne really needs more time. Every match he’s had I’ve given it ½ * because he really needs to prove to me that he’s improved yet all I see every week are the same moves from him.)

    More Vince crap next.

    -Commercial-

We see Vince getting exploded in his limo again. (I’m really sick of all the CSI crap.)

Match 4: Johnny Nitro vs. Nunzio

Nitro with a front face lock but Nunzio counters with a headlock takeover. Nitro counters and jumps off the ropes and nails a twisting enziguri for a two count! Nitro follows that up with an impressive spinout leg drop for another two count. Nitro applies a neck vice but Nunzio fights out and nails a running clothesline. Nunzio with a spinning headscissors and dropkick. Nunzio with a neat rollup cradle for a two count. Nitro counters Nunzio with a back breaker/ neck breaker combo for a two count. Nitro with an awesome front flip neck breaker for the win!

    Winner: Johnny Nitro

Rating: * ¼ (Nitro is so gifted and talented that I am glad I get to review his matches on ECW. Getting away from Melina is good and now he can focus on becoming a star himself.)

Backstage Marcus Cor Von tells Elijah Burke that he’s going to beat Punk tonight, Benoit at Vengeance, and become the next ECW Champion. He arrogantly slaps Burke on the back and tells Burke to bad about your loss earlier tonight and walks off.

    -Commercial-

We see a hoorah montage of The Miz.

Backstage Kelly, Layla, and Brooke gush over how hot The Miz is. Brooke wants Kelly and Layla to hook her and The Miz up. They agree and Brooke leaves happy. Layla then asks Kelly, didn’t she see Kelly with The Miz this past weekend. Kelly tells her to mind her own business and walks off. Layla laughs it off. (Uh oh an extreme exposplit maybe?)

Match 5: Winner Advances to the ECW Title Match at Vengeace: Night of Champions:
Marcus Cor Von vs. CM Punk

    -Commercial-

Punk glances at the title before the match. Punk with forearms but runs into a clothesline from Cor Von. Punk counters and nails a high cross body off the ropes for a two count. Punk with a couple of arm drags and a fireman’s carry. Punk nails some well placed kicks to Cor Von’s head. Cor Von counters and nails a flying arm bar. Winner: CM Punk

Chris Benoit’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. He and CM Punk go face to face and Benoit puts out his hand. Punk accepts and they shake hands to close the show.
Rating: ** ¼ (Good main event. That one nasty spot where Punk’s neck landed backwards was really scary to watch but besides that they really worked well together tonight. I can’t wait to see CM Punk vs. Chris Benoit this Sunday!)

Overall tonight was a good show. The opener, Nitro match, and main event were all good. The only negatives were Boogeyman squash, Thorne match, and all the Vince crap. I don't find the stuff offensive, I just find it boring. If you missed tonight you really missed a good episode minus the Vince crap. 6.5/10.

See you all for Vengeance, Jason

    Vengeance: Night of Champions: Predictions

WWE Championship Challenge Match: (C) John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. Bobby Lashley vs. King Booker vs. Mick Foley. (I see Cena most likely retaining since he never loses the title. He's had it since September 2006. But if we do get a new champion it will be Lashley.)
Last Chance Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: (C) Edge vs. Batista (Edge will win this one and Batista won't get another opportunity until Edge loses the belt to someone else.)
ECW Championship: CM Punk vs. Chris Benoit (I think WWE will give the belt to Benoit. He's a pro in this business and I feel they don't think it's time to give Punk the title yet.)
Women's Championship: (C) Melina vs. Candice Michelle (Since Melina won the tag match on Raw, I hope Candice wins the title. Ever since she moved to Raw in 2005 I said this girl has potential. And two years later she's improved so much. She's becoming the next Trish Stratus in my opinion!)
United States Championship: (C) MVP vs. Ric Flair (There's no way MVP is losing the title this soon. If he does lose it will be by disqualification but I see MVP keeping the gold no matter what.)
Intercontinental Championship: (C) Santino Marella vs. Umaga (This match came out of knowhere! I see Santino getting the upset and retaining the title and Umaga will destroy him after the match.
Cruiserweight Championship: (C) Chavo Guerrero vs. Jimmy Wang Yang (I see Yang winning because Chavo has done absoulutly nothing with the title and Jimmy is rather impressive in the ring.)
World Tag Team Championship: (C) Lance Cade adn Trevor Murdoch vs. The Hardys (Cade and Murdoch will win and Jeff will go solo on Raw while Matt wil stay on Smackdown just like how it should be.)
WWE Tag Team Championship: (C) Deuce N' Domino vs. ?? (The Major Brothers maybe?) (Either way I see Deuce N' Domino retaining whoever they have to face.)
