Report sent in by Nick Cleroux I just got back from the Saturday Night's Main Event & Monday Night RAW tapings from Toronto, and I wanted to pass some notes along to you. First, Saturday Night's Main Event: The announcers for the show were Michael Cole and The King. Cole totally got booed out of the building, but The King got a huge pop when he came out. Cole looked kind of disappointed by the crowd's response to him calling the show. The show opened with a great pyro display, no opening video, so they must still be working on it. The matches are as follows: John Cena v. The Great Khali (w/ Ashley as Special Guest Ring Announcer) Good match, Cena came out to some tremendous heat from the crowd, they really dont' like him in Toronto. Cena went for the FU twice, but didn't hit it either time. He basically got squashed by Khali. I can only assume that they are setting him up for a 'Giant Killer' angle when he FU's Khali on Sunday. Interesting note, they played a video between Cena's entrance and Khali's entrance. I guess someone got their wires crossed because during the video, Khali came down the ramp. The camera man had to tell Khali and his translator to go back and try again after Khali's music played. Cena tried to play it off in the ring, but it was an obvious screw up...the first of many on this show. Vince McMahon v. Bobby Lashley (Arm Wrestling Match) (w/ Kristal as Special Guest Ring Announcer) Vince came out to some mild heat, but the roof just about caved in when Lashley came out, one of the biggest pops of the night. McMahon balked the beginning of the arm wrestling match several times before he finally demanded a microphone. His first mic didn't work, so he had to play it off and find another one. When he finally found a mic that worked, he introduced Lashley to his real opponent...Mark Henry. Lashley and Henry started to arm wrestle, but then Henry pushed the table over and he and Lashley went at it. Lashley speared Henry and had a stare down with McMahon from the ramp. Batista & Chris Benoit v. Edge & MVP (w/ Michelle McCool as Special Guest Ring Announcer) Batista came out to a huge ovation, only to get louder when Benoit came out. But the place totally lost it when the hometown boy Edge came out. Edge once again had his new World Title pyro and really played it up to his hometown crowd. MVP's set took forever to get inflated, but they didn't have much in the way of problems taking it down. Match was decent, Edge avoided any action with Batista. He ended up leaving MVP to fend for himself at the end, which obviously didn't go too well for MVP. Batista and Benoit win the match. Finlay & Hornswaggle v. Boogeyman & Little Boogeyman (w/ Candice Michelle as Special Guest Ring Announcer) Finlay & Hornswaggle come out first, and Hornswaggle immediately runs under the ring. After Boogeyman & Little Boogeyman start the match, Hornswaggle reaches up from under the ring and wants a tag from Finlay. So, Finlay tags in Hornswaggle and he and Little Boogeyman start to fight. Then, Finlay boots Little Boogeyman and Big Boogeyman comes into the ring to save him. Big Boogeyman ends up chasing Hornswaggle out of the ring and up the ramp and leaves Little Boogeyman all by his lonesome with Finlay. Of course, Finlay lays out Little Boogeyman and makes the cover for the win. Extreme Expose Performance Much of the crowd thought that SNME was over because the crew started removing the ring canvas. It just turns out that there was Big & Little Boogeyman's make-up and worm guts on it, so they had to change it for Extreme Expose to do their dance. The dance was as you would expect, but about half way through, they played some footage from backstage of Hornswaggle running away from Little Boogeyman. Hornswaggle backed up a flight of stairs into Big Boogeyman who dropped worms on Hornswaggle's head. Hornswaggle slid down a pole to the ground and Little Boogeyman started chasing him again. Finlay laid out Big Boogeyman with a boot to the head when he went after the two little ones. The dancing in the ring continued for a minute or two until Hornswaggle and Little Boogeyman came out to the ring and started chasing eachother in circles around Extreme Expose. The two ended up between the legs of Brooke and Layla, so they picked up the Divas on their shoulders, and the Divas had a bit of a fun tussle before being dropped to the mat. Little Boogeyman chased Hornswaggle off backstage, not to be seen again. Kane, Doink & Eugene v. Umaga, Viscera & Kevin Thorne An alright match. The highlist of which was seeing Doink the Clown and Kevin Thorne try to wrestle. Eugene was also debuting his new wrestling outfit. It looks kind of like a WalMart Superman Hallowe'en costume with a red, yellow and blue cape with black polkadots on it. He still has those aweful white boots with green paint on them though. Kane picked up the win for his team by body slamming Viscera, pretty impressive sight. It took the crew of about 30 less than 15 minutes to change the SNME set over to RAW. It was quite a sight to see all of these things changing right before your eyes. It was odd to see how many people it actually takes to put one of these shows together, my hat goes off to them. RAW was pretty straight forward. Not too much happened off camera. The Highlanders won their dark match via DQ over some jobbers. There was one major off camera happening though, and it happened after RAW went off the air. Cena and Lashley were in the ring together talking, they shook hands, and Cena raised Lashley's hand in a sign of respect. Then Cena took a swing at Lashley! Lashley blocked it, and beat Cena down, speared him and gave him a running power slam. Lashley then picked up the WWE Title, held it high in the air, and then threw it down to the lifeless Cena, Lashley then made his exit. When Cena finally got up, he was booed right out of the building. I have never heard so many people hate one person so much. He stood at the top of the ramp, to pose with the WWE Title before he made his exit, but at the last minute, to stick it to the fans, he decided not to pose and just walked away. Top 5 Biggest Pops 1. Edge (Hometown Boy) 2. Lashley 3. Shane (For No Apparent Reason) 4. Ric Flair 5. Batista Top 5 Most Heat Given 1. Cena (Toronto HATES Cena) 2. Cena (It Kept Getting Worse) 3. Cena (It Kept Getting Worse) 4. Vince 5. Michael Cole (Why? I Don't Know) Report sent in by Dustin Stern -Highlanders defeat two local jobbers in a dark match -They mess up the intro and do it too early and forget to set up the bikini contest set, making them have to repeat the intro -Shane McMahon gets loud pop as per usual in Toronto where the heels are cheared and the faces booed -Cena gets booed out of the stadium to the point that you can't hear what he's saying during his interview, and in fact at the sound of Cena saying "Khali", the fans loudly pop -Orton gets huge pop and gets many "Let's go Randy" chants and RVD wasn't overly booed but got many "RVD sucks" chants -After the main event Cena was getting booed really hard, and eventually once the cameras stopped rolling, Lashley beat up Cena after some heated words, and speared him, attracting the biggest pop I've heard live since Wrestlemania 18 Hogan vs. The Rock. Report sent in by Rafik Dawood I was at the RAW Toronto show tonight. The negative reaction for Cena was unbelievable, even worse than when I saw Unforgiven. After RAW went off the air, Cena and Lashley stare each other down with the referee talking to the both of them, seemingly to try and cool them down. Cena points at Lashley and pushes him, then they seem to call a truce. Cena goes to raise Lashley's arm but instead takes a swing at him. Lashley blocks it and then power slams him, leaving to a huge ovation. Cena is being constantly booed at this point. He gets up and seems really disturbed by it. The referee keeps talking to him, I guess trying to calm him down, but Cena keeps getting booed. Everyone in my section was giving him thumbs down, middle fingers, and booing, with others chanting "Cena Sucks". Cena took 10 minutes to walk up the ramp and he kept shaking his head. At the top of the ramp, he turns around to a chorus of boos and looks disgusted. Finally, he leaves. Don't know if Cena was actually upset at being booed so vehemently by the crowd or if he was playing up a possible heel turn down the line. Great show though , crowd was really into it, a lot of people stayed back too after the cameras stopped rolling. Huge reaction for Edge during SNME. *NEW GALLERY* Very PRIVATE Shots of Maria & CM Punk MAKING OUT!!
