James Johnson, the guy who writes most of WWE’s music, was awarded a BMI Cable Award for 2007 for his work on WWE TV opening theme songs.
To update on Stephanie McMahon’s much talked about promotion, her exact new job title is Executive Vice President in charge of both Talent and Creative Writing. The promotion makes her and Kevin Dunn the two most powerful people underneath Vince himself. John Laurinaitis got a promotion to Senior Vice President of Talent Relations. As previously reported, Stephanie is the one behind this recent string of releases from the WWE roster.
John Cena has now passed Bret Hart for the most time spent as WWE champion. The 30 year old Cena is now in 6th place for most time spent as champ, only behind Bruno Sammartino, Hogan, HHH, Pedro Morales and Bob Backlund.
