WWE News: Gregory Helms undergoes successful neck fusion surgery earlier today Submitted by Jason Brown on Monday, May 21, 2007 at 4:22 PM EST
Gregory Helms underwent successful neck fusion surgery earlier today. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and current SmackDown superstar needed the surgery to repair two broken vertebrae in his neck.
The procedure was done by Dr. Lloyd Youngblood who diagnosed the severity of the injury earlier last week. Due to the serious nature of the surgery, it is expected that Helms will be out of action for nine months to a year in a best case scenario.
On behalf of all of us here at LordsofPain.net, we certainly wish Gregory the best in his recovery!
