The following news is derived from Blackjack Brown of the Chicago Sun-Times:
- Word is that The Sandman may be the next ECW star to get the axe; Sabu has recently been released with Rob Van Dam set to turn down WWE's contract offer for a move to TNA. All the old-school ECW heads are under the microscope at this point.
- World Wrestling Entertainment plans to make a move to high-definition TV by the end of this year.
- Chris Benoit isn't in main-event feuds right now because there is a perception that has microphone skills aren't up to par.
