WWE explains reason behind Edge/Orton match cancellation

  • The RAW taping in London, England last night was supposed to feature Randy Orton vs. Edge, however that did not happen. WWE.com have included the following statement in their recap on the official website:

Although other matches were scheduled for the night, including a contest pitting Edge against Randy Orton, the length of the main event left no room for other battles.

Clearly this is a smokescreen given Orton's actions in Europe last week. He was not present at the RAW taping in England yesterday, and it remains to be seen if he will even feature in the Backlash main-event on Sunday. As always, we will keep you updated with events.
