Several staff members high up in TNA were reading online reports and opinions on the Destination X PPV, calling it one of the company’s worst events. Dave Sahadi read the reports to Jim Cornette, Don West and Mike Tenay at a backstage meeting. Cornette said “Why are we even listening to this?” and Tenay cracked up the room saying “Because the New York Times doesn’t cover our PPVs!” Don West was said to be upset with the negative reports.
TNA wants Jay Lethal, who is now using entrance music similar to Randy Savage’s old music, to also wear a robe to the ring like Savage used to.
Despite his original agreement with TNA, Kurt Angle will be working a U.S. independent show for Northeast Wrestling on April 22 in Bristol, CT. There might be some sort of discount on his booking price for them, but Angle has been getting over $10,000 per show for companies overseas.
