WWE News: WWE gives Wellness tests to over 24 superstars at tonight's tapings

Over two dozen WWE performers were given Wellness tests backstage earlier today at the location of tonight’s ECW/SmackDown! taping in Cleveland, Ohio. This comes fresh off of the SI.com article that links eleven professional wrestlers to an on-going steroid investigation. Major WWE names included in the article are Adam “Edge” Copeland, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, and Gregory Helms.

While the timing of the tests is interesting to note, the tests could have been scheduled before the SI.com article broke due to the fact that WWE does not inform talent before they administer Wellness tests.

However, there is a good possibility that WWE administered the tests in reaction to the tremendous amount of the mainstream media attention that they are receiving due to the SI.com article.
