This is for the 3pm show
Chavo Guerrero pinned Scotty 2 Hotty after a Frogsplash
Scotty was getting chants throughout the whole match, it felt like the
whole place was cheering for him. He seemed genuinely appreciative
Henry Godwinn and Harvey Ray defeated Regal and Taylor after a Slop Drop
The crowd wasn't really into Godwinn, probably partly because there
was alot of kids who wouldn't remember him from 95/96. Match went too
long.
Teddy Long came out to introduce the Diva contest. People really like
him, I dunno what they're thinking if it's true he's gonna get
replaced.
Kristal won the Diva Body Contest over Michelle McCool and Jillian
Hall. Michelle looks 10 times hotter in person. Jillian did her
singing bit. Afterwards, Michelle attacked Kristal.
Gregory Helms defeated Funaki.
Funaki did alot of the old ECW spots where they break clean, or have a
standoff after a sequence, and people usually clap. Except no one did.
Undertaker pinned Finlay after a chokeslam.
There was a funny spot when Little Bastard came into the ring and
Taker got on his knees to try to chokeslam him. The whole place was
crazy for UT.
Before intermission, Chimmel threw shirts into the crowd.
After Intermission, Matt Striker came out and cut a promo on the ECW Originals.
This prompted Sandman to come out. Funny thing happened, when he was
doing his beer bit, he slipped off a chair and had to throw his beer
to catch himself, and a little kid in the balcony caught it.
New Breed ran in to attack Sandman, which brought out the Originals (minus RVD)
new breed runs in
Sandman, Balls Mahoney, Tommy Dreamer and Sabu defeated Elijah Burke,
Marcus Corvon, Matt Striker and Kevin Thorn (w/ Ariel). Lots of ECW
chants but the match wasn't much, considering the most 'Extreme' spot
was a Sabu plancha over the top.
After the match, Great Khali came out and attacked the Originals. This
brought out Kane, and they fought for less than a minute before
disappearing to the back.
Batista defeated Mr. Kennedy after a Batista Bomb. Watching Batista
that close really pronounces how awful he is in the ring. Lots of
people cheering for Kennedy though. Pretty boring match and at this
point I was ready to leave since it was evident that CM Punk wasn't
gonna be there.
Biggest Pops
Undertaker
Batista
Scotty 2 Hotty (really)
Biggest Heat
Kennedy
Finlay
Alot of people brought CM Punk signs so I know I wasn't the only one
who was disappointed that he wasn't there. Was a nice little show
though, the venue holds around 3,000 people so there wasn't a bad seat
in the house.
