ECW begins with Mr. McMahon arriving backstage. He encounters Marcus Cor Von. McMahon says that the Alpha Male is like a breath of fresh air to ECW. McMahon walks a little farther and stumble upon Sandman drinking on the job. McMahon says that Sandman got his name from the old song about Mr. Sandman. He tells Sandman that he will find his remarks very interesting tonight.
CM Punk vs Matt Striker
Striker takes an early advantage over Punk until a dropkick and a clothesline over the top rope stops Striker’s momentum. Punk throws Striker back into the ring, but Striker attacks him before he gets back in. With Punk’s feet on the top rope, Striker connects with a swinging DDT maneuver for 2. Striker continues to beat on Punk. Striker hits Punk with a reverse neckbreaker for 2. Striker locks Punk in a headlock. Punk battles out and hits Striker with a series of takedowns followed by a body slam. Punk connects with the running knee striker bulldog combo. Punk hits Striker with a double under hook backbreaker for 2. Punk goes to the ring apron and attempts a sunset flip. Striker sits on Punk’s shoulders and grabs the ropes to pick up the win.
Winner: Matt Striker
Backstage still, McMahon runs into Tommy Dreamer. McMahon asks Dreamer what kind of a name is Dreamer. McMahon doesn’t deal with dreams, he deals with reality.
Rob Van Dam vs Hardcore Holly (Nothing against Holly or RVD, but I’m tired of seeing this match up)
Back and forth chain wrestling starts the match. RVD hits a springboard thrust kick. RVD connects with a springboard hurricanrana for 2. RVD rolls out of the Alabama Slam attempt and pins Holly for 2. Holly stops RVD’s momentum with a clothesline and a suplex. Tazz makes the call of the night when he impersonates Larry the Cable guy, saying Holly likes to Git-R-Done. RVD flips a charging Holly out to the floor and follows up with a dive. Back in the ring, Holly works over RVD in the corner. RVD comes back with stiff kicks to Holly’s head and a leg drop from the top rope. RVD goes to the top rope, but Holly pushes him off into the security rail. Holly throws RVD into the ring steps. Back in the ring, Holly works over RVD’s back. Holly puts RVD on the ropes and kicks him in the gut for 2. Holly puts RVD in a headlock. RVD battles out and hits Holly with a spinning heal kick. Holly hits RVD in the face with a dropkick. RVD rolls up Holly for 2. RVD connects with the monkey flip. RVD goes for rolling thunder, but Holly stands up. Holly gets hit with a windmill kick and then the rolling thunder for 2. RVD goes for another monkey flip, but Holly counters into a power slam. Holly goes to the top rope, but RVD falls into the ropes. RVD catches Holly with a spinning heal kick as Holly comes off of the top rope. RVD tries for the frog splash, but Holly rolls out of the way, An Alabama slam later and Holly is the winner.
Winner: Hardcore Holly
McMahon is still backstage, this time confronting Sabu. McMahon says that he is in Texas, he must be in Afghanistan. He calls Sabu a member of the Taliban. He tells Sabu to stay the hell away from him.
After commercials, McMahon runs into Balls Mahoney. McMahon asks him about his name. Balls says that it is Irish like McMahon’s. McMahon says that Balls is not the same kind of Irish, Balls is probably from Northern Ireland and that doesn’t count as Irish. McMahon says that as far as the first name goes, tonight we might see if Balls has any.
Extreme Expose does their thing, but Mr. McMahon interrupts and tells them to get out of his ring. McMahon says the he will not be embarrassed tonight like he was Monday night. McMahon then tells the audience that he thinks the ECW originals suck. Anything that has to do with the original ECW sucks. If you like the original ECW, then you too suck. He then talks about changing ECW into something meaningful. He says the ECW doesn’t need drunken suicidal misfits. McMahon introduces Elijah Burke as a man that epitomizes the new ECW. McMahon calls Burke the future of ECW. Burke takes the mic and says that it is an honor to share the ring with someone like McMahon. Burke runs down the ECW originals and says that they will feel his wrath. Sandman hits the ring, but is taken down by Burke. Dreamer hits the ring, followed by Balls. Sandman and Dreamer hold Burke while Balls hits his punch combo. Balls and Dreamer hold Burke allowing Sandman to get in a cane shot. Dreamer hits Burke with the DDT. Sabu then hits Burke with the Atomic Arabian Face buster. The originals pose in the ring as McMahon cusses and yells.
Bobby Lashley vs Test
Lashley hits Test with big blows before Test rolls to the outside. Lashley follows, but is pushed into the ring post. Test pulls up the mats on the outside of the ring. Test attempts a piled river, but Lashley powers out. Back in the ring, Test works on the arms of Lashley. Test wraps Lashley’s arm around the ring post. Lashley pulls Test into the ring post. Lashley rolls Test back into the ring and hits him with consecutive rights. Lashley hits a series of spears on Test in the corner before hitting a six second delay suplex. Lashley attempts a running slam, but Test rolls out. Lashley hits Test with a T-bone suplex and then the running slam to pick up the win. Lashley kicks Test out of the ring. The lights go out and the gong goes off. The lights come back on and Undertaker is staring down Lashley. Test tries to make the most of the situation and hit Lashley with the chair. Undertaker cuts him off and hits Test with a choke slam. Undertaker makes the belt motion and the black lights come on. Styles believes that Undertaker is coming for the ECW Championship
Winner: Bobby Lashley
