After a recap of the no contest title match from last week, ECW starts with the first match. Bob Armstrong joins Tazz and Joey Styles for commentary
CM Punk vs Hardcore Holly
Punk takes the early advantage and quickly goes for the anaconda vice. After more quick strikes, Punk goes for the vice again. Holly counters both attempts. Punk knocks Holly over the top rope to the outside. Punk follows with a missed suicide dive. Holly dominates Punk back in the ring with stiff shots to the head. A running back elbow from Holly bloodies Punk’s mouth. Holly chokes Punk with the ropes. Holly goes to the top and hits a leg drop for 2. A shoulder block from Punk leaves both men lying on the mat. Punk and Holly exchange blows in the middle of the ring. Holly sets Punk up for a suplex, but Punk knees him in the head. Punk connects on a spring board cross body for 2. Punk runs into a drop kick from Holly for 2. Punk charges at Holly in the corner with a knee strike, but Holly catches him and drops him throat first on the ropes. Holly throws Punk into the ring post shoulder first. Holly hits a spinning Alabama slam to pick end Punk’s undefeated streak.
Winner: Hardcore Holly
Backstage, a nameless ECW employee informs Test that his match is next. Test says that he shouldn’t be in the match. He has been overlooked for an ECW title match. He has beaten Rob Van Dam many times and should be the one challenging Bobby Lashley for the title. Test says that he will not be competing tonight.
Back from commercials, Elijah Burke is in the ring. Since this time slot is now vacant, he thought who better to entertain the fans than the Elijah experience. Elijah explains that he is feeling so good tonight that he wants Sylvester Terkay to stay in the back. Burke challenges anyone to step in the ring and get knocked out. Sandman answers the call. Sandman and Burke go nose to nose in the ring. Burke goes for a sucker punch but catches Singapore cane. Burke catches Sandman with a left jab before the caning starts. Burke escapes to the outside. Burke refuses to enter the ring until Sandman drops the cane. Burke never gets back in the ring. A Great Khali hype video reminds us that Tommy Dreamer and Khali go at it tonight in an Extreme Rules match.
The Great Khali w/ Daivari vs Tommy Dreamer
Extreme Rules match
Dreamer comes to the ring with a street sign, but Khali catches him and lands big blows before a clothesline turns Dreamer inside out. Khali chokes Dreamer with a boot across the throat. Khali continues to work over Dreamer in the corner. Dreamer uses a thumb to the eye to get out of the corner. Dreamer picks up his No Right Turn sign and slaps at Khali. Daivari distracts Dreamer but get hit with the sign for his troubles. Khali punches the sign back in Dreamer’s face before hitting his power bomb finisher.
Winner: The Great Khali
Backstage, Rebecca asks for Rob Van Dam’s thoughts on his rematch for the ECW title. RVD says that he respects Lashley, but tonight the title goes home with Rob Van Dam.
After a Wrestlemania recall, its time for the next match
Kevin Thorn w/ Ariel vs Shannon Moore
Moore tries for the quick offensive, but Thorn quickly takes the advantage. Thorn kicks away at Moore in the corner. Moore tries to go to the top rope, but is flip backward to the middle of the ring. Thorn puts Moore on the top rope and connects his stunner finisher.
Winner: Kevin Thorn
Kelly Kelly returns next week.
Rob Van Dam vs Bobby Lashley
Basic back and forth chain wrestling that ends in stare downs. Apparently during commercials, Lashley dominated RVD with power maneuvers. Lashley charges at RVD for the spear, but a drop kick sends Lashley face first into the turnbuckle. RVD with a split legged moonsault for 2. RVD works over Lashley in the corner and connects with a thrust kick from the top. RVD locks Lashley in a head scissors submission. Lashley fights out but runs into a kick from RVD. Lashley splashes RVD in the corner. Lashley sets up for the backbreaker. RVD slides out and connects a windmill kick followed by rolling thunder for 2. Lashley hits RVD with a belly to belly suplex. Lashley tries for the spear, but no one is home. Lashley flies through the ropes to the outside. RVD follows Lashley out of the ring. RVD sets Lashley on the announce table like he did last week, but this time goes for a spinning leg lariat. Lashley moves out of the way. RVD crashes into the table. Back inside, Lashley takes down RVD before hitting a backdrop for 2. Lashley splashes RVD before spearing him in the corner. Lashley connects with a 6 second delay suplex. Lashley hits another spear before setting up for the dominator. Test enters the ring and lays out Lashley with the chair. Test throws the chair into RVD’s face. Test walks to the back as the fans chant you suck and the show comes to an end.
