Smackdown Best of Show - 29 December, 2006

    G'day there everyone and just a brief note. I won't review today's Smackdown because it's a best of show. The reviews for the match clips listed below are to be found in the archives of LOP to which I'll link if I find them. Next week it will be back to normal programming. :) These wrestlers don't get much of a break at all! I wanted to wish you all a happy and safe entry to the year 2007. :) Whatever you do, wherever you may be I hope 2007 brings all of your dreams to fruition. I know I'll be looking forward to 2007 and all the excitement it is going to bring.

    I'd like to thank all of those that send me emails regarding my reviews. You're all important in what you have to say and think. :) I'd also like to that the webmaster at LOP for allowing me to bring you these reviews. And to my fellow columnists, DaveyBoy, Chad, Bossman, and to tall the others..... you guys just rock! :)

    Rudi's rant - The banter in the conversations between JBL and Michael Cole were quite laid back and JBL appears quite humble throughout. I would have in the highlights spent more time on some of the other Smackdown Roster members as well including more of London & Kendrick's Tag Team Title reign and Matt Hardy doesn't rate a mention and neither does Regal for that matter or Taylor or even Tatanka from what I can see for example. It's only for a week though and we'll see just how Smackdown starts off next year!

    Teddy Long reveals that starting next week they will have what they call the "Smackdown Sprint." The "Sprint" is a time stipulated match which means that each week they will have a "Smackdown! Sprint" match and the wrestler who wins the shortest match gets to challenge the Heavyweight Champion in the main event at Royal Rumble.
