Jim Ross wrote in his latest blog update that Barry Windham is expected to join WWE as a "producer/coach type person."
The addition of Windham, a former NWA Heavyweight Champion and WWF Tag Champion, to the WWE staff had been a subject of discussion for several months.
Update: PWInsider.com reported Tuesday that Windham was actually hired prior to WrestleMania 22 as part of the deal to induct Blackjack Mulligan into the WWE Hall Of Fame. Windham took time off to get back surgery and has been out recovering until recently.
