Former WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus recently made an appearance with the independent wrestling promotion IPW in Muncie, Indiana. Trish is in Muncie working as a police officer for CBS’ new reality series. At the indy event, she was scheduled to be the guest referee in the main event featuring Mr. Smiley vs. Doctor Love, but since she was on duty she was unable to remove her gun. Trish did however enforce from ringside and even got into it with Love’s manager.
AWA, an independent pro wrestling promotion ran by Dale Gagner has been advertising Paul Heyman to debut on their official website. WWE has contacted the promotion informing them that Heyman is still under WWE contract and demand that his picture and name be removed from the website. AWA said they will “respond to WWE’s demands in the near future.” Heyman denies even speaking with the promotion.
