WWE doctor Ferdinand Rios told WWE.com that Joey Mercury suffered what appears to be a broken nose in his ladder match at Armageddon.

The wrestler is presently undergoing a CT scan to get a more specific prognosis.

"I can't give a prognosis because Mercury could have shattered his frontal bone," said Rios to WWE.com. "Hopefully there isn't any problem in his brain; that blow [Mercury was hit in the face with a ladder] was so significant there could be some damage and we just couldn't tell without the CT scan."

According to the doctor, Mercury could need plastic surgery and be forced to miss two months from the ring.
