WWE News: Pubs no longer showing WWE PPV, SmackDown, Undertaker, more Submitted by Jason Brown on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at 1:43 PM EST
This week’s edition of SmackDown did a 2.7 fast national rating with a 5.0 share. This number is pretty consistent with previous shows. We will have the final number at the beginning of next week.
Yesterday’s Calgary Sun ran an article speaking about a pub owner ceasing to show WWE pay-per-view events in his bar. The owner states attendance for the WWE events have went down from around 100 to now only around 10 people. He places the blame on WWE having too many events and poor booking of the events. The owner says they will continue to purchase MMA and TNA events because they still draw a crowd.
WWE.com has added a “Cole Report from Iraq” video showing wrestlers entertaining themselves on the flight over to Iraq. In the clip, Cole is physically attacked by Vince McMahon and JBL. The Undertaker is also shown sitting behind JBL out of character.
