THE WRESTLING MENU #207
Welcome one and all to the 207th edition of The Wrestling Menu, the column that is sure to satisfy your taste buds when it comes to discussing all things wrestling.
I will begin today by saying "thanks" to everyone who took the time to read my column last week. It looks as if edition #206 was one of my most popular columns for a while with well over 8,000 hits. I also received many emails relating to all 3 topics that I wrote about & I also thank those who took the time to email me. Maybe the success of the column was to my Tito-like comments at the beginning of the column. I doubt it, but just in case, I will see if I can come up with something slightly controversial this week as well.....
How about something that is half 'Before They Were Superstars' & half Academy Award bashing? You see, last Friday night just short of midnight, I was flipping around on Australian cable television. I was mainly watching various sporting events, but the remote was indeed working overtime. I happened to flick by the standard movie channels that had just seen a cheap Wesley Snipes action vehicle finish when a certain ladies name took my eye among the credits to the (pardon the pun) forthcoming film. That actress was none other than Candice Michelle.
Well, having reviewed John Cena's cd amongst other forays by wrestlers into mainstream projects, I felt that journalistic integrity "forced me" to watch the next 20 minutes or so of this brilliant motion picture that was terribly overlooked by the Academy in whatever year it was made. Without going (pardon the pun) too deep into the fascinating plot, Candice showed why she would be a future WWE superstar right here. Her flexibility & athleticism were terrific. She was competitive against her co-stars. She sold better than Benoit on his best day. While her facials were... ummm... well... I better stop there or else I might get in trouble.
Ok, so maybe I should look only to wrestling for controversial topics to discuss. Well, how about the conspiracy theory that suggests that every time SmackDown solidifies it's status as the traditional wrestling show & appears better than Raw, then the WWE will do something to bring it down a notch. If it's not draft lottery exits, it's kidney injuries out of nowhere. And if it's not either of those, then it may just well be shipping 5 of their roster members over to ECW without any notice whatsoever!
This conspiracy theory plays a large part in the first topic that I will discuss today..... So, if Candice Michelle will allow me to concentrate on writing... It's on with the show.....
Appetizers - Lashley To ECW
Just in case you haven't been keeping up to date with the roster movements on WWE's B & C shows of late, the other 4 men to transfer over to ECW from SmackDown were The Great Khali, Daivari, Sylvester Terkay & Elijah Burke. Now I don't want to concentrate too much on these men, as I don't think their absence will hurt SmackDown all that much at this point in time. If anything, the fact that there is some duplication in the 4 men is the only problem. That is, 2 large heels have been removed off the roster, as have 2 under-rated young talents that could provide depth at the undercard level..
The fact that I state that these 4 departures won't hurt SmackDown too much doesn't necessarily mean that they won't be good additions to the ECW brand by the way. While the duplication problem rears it's ugly head on the opposite side of the spectrum, I can see at least 2 of the talents coming in as very handy some time over the next year. One of the big guys is most likely to be useful, while either of the 2 corner men are likely to make a positive splash in ECW somewhere along the way. Plus, who knows what Paul Heyman can come up with for any of them. He may just rediscover that perceived booking golden touch that he once had.
But the real story here is undoubtedly Bobby Lashley. This is a genuinely big & unexpected move that the WWE has gone ahead with & it's more than likely to leave a big mark on both ECW & SmackDown. During the latter half of 2005, it was clear that Lashley had the kind of physique that Vince McMahon salivates over (and no, it's not a physique that is similar to Candice), but he was extremely raw in the ring. While ranking him #2 in my 2005 Rookie Rankings, I remember being extremely worried about the way he moved around the ring like a robot.
But it appears as if a combination of experience, training, confidence & his amateur background have helped Lashley significantly & he has come along further than even I thought he would have at this stage of his career. So far, that some were predicting he could be World HeavyWeight Champion by WrestleMania 23, if not a little before that. Despite the improvement, I think it's fair to state that there is still a fair way to go if the WWE eventually want Lashley to become a 10+ year legend for the company. Thus, moving him to another brand this early in his career has to be seen as a risk.
Not only is it another brand that Lashley has moved to, but it is a brand that often relies on matches that are anything but regular. Whether it's because they are shorter, faster-paced or simply filled with weapons, ECW bouts don't compare all that similarly to those seen on SmackDown. And while many will say that this isn't the ECW of old (& they are correct), I still say the matches are structured very differently & contain many different types of spots. You only have to look at the rather lengthy bouts (Regal vs Kendrick, Benoit vs Finlay, Helms vs Yang) that were part of last Friday's episode of SmackDown to see that.
But maybe the shorter bouts that include bursts of energy will make Lashley look better than ever & hide some of his weaknesses? Well, there is no 'maybe' about that, as I think that is true. Once the Elimination Chamber is done with, I think you will see a rather impressive looking Bobby Lashley take part in 4-8 minute matches on ECW's weekly television show. Because the bouts are generally shorter on ECW, I feel his signature moves will look more impressive than ever, while his burts of offense will have that much more sting to them because he won't be as tired from what has come before that point in the match.
So, don't be at all surprised if Bobby Lashley not only becomes the face of ECW very shortly, but also becomes the most popular wrestler there. He isn't just yet... You only have to listen to the cheers that Rob Van Dam still gets to know that (not even mentioning CM Punks rising stock). Lashley has been sitting in Batista's shadow on SmackDown & it was clear that the WWE did not want to turn either of them heel. So, on ECW, the ball can well & truly be given to young Bobby & if he is booked sensibly, I really couldn't see why the fans wouldn't take to him like a fish to water.
So if Davey thinks that Lashley will look better in ECW & his popularity will increase, then he must think this is a wise move by the ECW to move the ex-US Champion from Friday to Tuesday nights...??? Well actually, I'm 50-50 on the decision believe it or not. Why? One reason & one reason alone; His future.
The way I look at it is that Lashley was / is improving in the ring. Not only with his repertoire of moves, his selling & his psychology, but also with his stamina in longer matches. I just fear that wrestling on the ECW brand may halt this improvement. Why hit a man with a clothesline, when you can hit him with a title belt... legally? Why train for a future 20 minute match when you will probably not have to perform in one? But really, it all comes down to Lashley himself. If he doesn't take many shortcuts & keeps his work ethic up, he will be just fine in the near & long-term future. And make no mistake, it is Bobby Lashley's long-term future that is the important factor here. While he isn't a certain future hall-of-famer, he has all the makings of one.

55-59: Average. [C] (EG: Cyber Sunday '06)
60-64: Worth A Watch. [C+] (EG: No Mercy '06)
65-69: Good event that was worth the money. [B] (EG: SummerSlam '06)

75-79: Make sure you add this ppv to your video or dvd collection. [A] (EG: One Night Stand '05)
80+ : Make sure that the video or dvd is locked in a safe & cannot be erased. Memorable. [A+]
TEAM FLAIR (Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Sgt Slaughter & Ron Simmons) defeated THE SPIRIT SQUAD (Johnny, Kenny, Mikey & Nicky) in an 8 Man Elimination Match: Simmons cleans house in the early going before getting counted out. But he takes Mitch with him, so good ol' Faarooq did his job as far as I'm concerned! Much to the crowds dismay, the referee then sends Arn Anderson to the back, as the pace immediately settles down with all 3 remaining faces taking turns in dismantling Nicky. Interference by Johnny though leads to Nicky pinning Slaughter, even though Rhodes quickly eliminates Nicky immediately afterwards. Dusty follows up with some weak offense on Kenny, before getting rolled up & pinned himself. This leaves Flair against 3, but he doesn't take all that long to eliminate Mikey (with help from the ropes), Kenny with a rollup & Johnny with a Figure 4 Leglock!
All up, this lasted 10 minutes, which was about the right duration I think, even though even that seemed too long! While the elimination format did predominantly hide the weaknesses of the wrestlers involved in the match-up, the booking wasn't always too wise. The countout & 2 ejections at the beginning were ridiculous, while too many quick eliminations at the end didn't help either. Looking at the middle of the bout, it was pretty much Dusty stinking things up way too much! Worked decently well as an opener though & nothing too bad I suppose. Passable, but nothing much more. Match Rating…5
CHRIS BENOIT defeated CHAVO GUERRERO to Retain the United States Title: Benoit begins with his usual intensity, crispness & impact, while Chavo gets drawn into a brawl & does his utmost to hold his own from a competitive standpoint. Benoit nicely counters a Chavo resthold with a Samoan Drop, but then runs into a nice dropkick from Chavo to keep the momentum with the heel. This continues (with a little help from Vicki) despite some German Suplexes from the Crippler. Chavo then goes up top & hits a terrible looking frog splash (just when I thought he had improved it), which Benoit kicks out of at 2. The finishing sequence comes soon after when Chavo counters a Sharpshooter attempt, but then his schoolboy is countered into the crossface for the submission win to Benoit at about the 8 minute mark.
Disappointingly too short & some of the sequences weren't allowed to play out because of that. It really is starting to annoy me that SmackDown will consistently have good matches last longer than 8 minutes on their weekly tv show, yet that is about the duration limit when it comes to interbrand pay-per-views (ignoring the later main-event that wasn't the correct match-up to lengthen). The length issues also may have played a part in some messy spots that one wouldn't expect from these 2. I liked the competitiveness of the match, while Benoit always brings intensity to his bouts. But this (while being satisfactory) was fairly unmemorable. Match Rating…6.5
MICKIE JAMES defeated LITA to Win the Women's Title: A couple of wise backstage segments prior to this bout ensure that Lita will get booed & taunted during her final WWE match. Some decent intensity between the 2 begin the bout & sets up the match well. The action is also sufficiently back & forth initially, until Lita controls the middle stages of the bout with some solid offense. There is also some decent variation in there which doesn't hurt, nor does the constant taunting of the heel from the live crowd. Mickie eventually works her way on top with an impressive array of kicks & a decent fishermans suplex. Lita then awkwardly counters a leg-scissors attempt with a modified faceplant. This is followed by a moonsault, but Mickie kicks out at 2.
The extended finishing sequence then follows & it sees both women get a number of well-performed nearfalls before Mickie scores the pinfall with her Spike DDT at a little over 8 minutes. Extremely solid Women's match that proved these 2 could get the job done in the ring. Well booked, well performed & probably included more wrestling moves than Benoit vs Chavo when examined closely! While the bout wasn't always involving (like Trish vs Lita at Unforgiven), Lita got the appropriate heel reaction to predominantly make up for this. A job well done, although Mickie's face character still needs work. It also should be noted that this is the 3rd Women's match of the year to rate a 7 or better, which has to be a record. Match Rating…7
NOTE: In a segment that plays immediately after the Women's Title Match, Cryme Tyme come out to the ring with a box of goods stolen from Lita's dressing room earlier. They basically sell off panties, vibrators & the like in a segment that was effectively entertaining, whilst being a little overlong considering the length of some of the matches thus far.
TEAM DX (Triple H, Shawn Michaels, CM Punk & The Hardy Boyz) defeated TEAM RKO (Randy Orton, Edge, Gregory Helms, Johnny Nitro & Mike Knox) in a 10 Man Elimination Match: Team DX play some games with the crowd to begin & CM Punk can't hide his grin as the audience chant his name the loudest! HBK pins Knox immediately with Sweet Chin Music & then amusingly asks his team who he was & whether he was involved in the match! HBK is on a roll & he ends a running of the ropes with Nitro by impersonating his opponent & giving Melina a hug at ringside. Hilarious stuff! Some rapid-fire sequences follow as The Hardy Boyz take on pretty much every member of the heel team. CM Punk then gets tagged in & some decent action against Nitro results in the submission elimination of the heel. A little surprisingly, it is then Punk who is isolated as the face-in-peril (I was expecting Matt), and it is only HBK's interference that saves him from getting eliminated after being hit with an RKO. Triple H then gets the hot tag & Helms is no match for him as he sets up a Twist Of Fate / Swanton combo for the 3rd elimination.
Edge & Orton then threaten to walk out (as they can see what is going to occur), but are brought back to the ring where Edge suffers a succession of moves leading to his elimination. Orton (after a run into the crowd) is then finished off with a Sweet Chin Music / Pedigree combo at the 12 minute mark. This is an awfully hard bout to rate because it was extremely fun & entertaining from a fan's perspective. Furthermore, the action was pretty good, well-performed & once more entertaining. But the booking of the 5-0 shutout has to be questioned, as does the overall match duration. Even if you had added just 2 face eliminations & 5 minutes to this bout, it would have added a few qualities that would have seen a higher match rating. Match Rating…7.5
KEN KENNEDY defeated THE UNDERTAKER in a First Blood Match: Pre-Match (both backstage & in the ring), Kennedy adds yet another variation to his character that no only has seen his stock rise of late, but adds something to this particular bout. The heel gets in some punches to begin the match, but it doesn't last long as The Undertaker takes Kennedy to ringside where he dominates with a variety of decent, but standard, big man offense. Kennedy then gets his turn after an Irish Whip reversal, but 'Taker counters a move from the apron to regain control & take the action back into the ring. A nice superplex from the dead man leads to him targetting his opponent's ribs. This is a clever booking move which appears to make no sense, but results in a little internal bleeding from the mouth of Kennedy which is unseen by the referee at ringside.
Following some interesting initial involvement by MVP, where he helps Kennedy wipe his blood & then throws KK back in the ring, he ends the match with a (possibly accidental) chairshot to The Undertaker which busts him wide open at a little over 9 minutes. 'Taker gets some revenge afterwards with a huge chairshot (ouch) to the head of Kennedy (which busts him open) plus an awkward looking tombstone piledriver. Interesting, yet inconsistent, match that had both good & bad points. I liked the clever touches to the booking, while it also contained some good, if unspectacular, action that fit well enough into the 'first blood' stipulation. Of course, the stipulation is a 2 edged sword though & it may not have allowed them to do some other stuff which could have further enhanced the bout. While I didn't mind MVP's initial involvement, having him directly cause the ending of the match was disappointing for mine. The bout probably lacked a big spot too, although that post-match chairshot partially negated that. Overall, fairly solid, though typically inconsistent Undertaker match. Tough to rate. Match Rating…7
TEAM CENA (John Cena, Bobby Lashley, Kane, Sabu & Rob Van Dam) defeated TEAM BIG SHOW (The Big Show, Finlay, Test, MVP & Umaga) in a 10 Man Elimination Match: Cena gets his usual mixture of boos & cheers on the American east coast as he begins in the ring against Umaga. The Samoan Bulldozer then quickly gets disqualified for using a ringside commentary monitor on a number of the faces, as the match breaks down. Finlay & Test then take turns in isolating RVD, before Van Dam evens things up against MVP. Some Kane interference seals Porter's fate, as a 5 Star Frog Splash has the faces up 5-3. The following few minutes see 4 rapid-fire eliminations as RVD, Test, Sabu & Kane are all eliminated during some decent action where a breath is hardly taken (except for a brief pause to allow Kane & The Big Show to stare each other down).
Down to 2 on 2, the match partially settles down, but also partially breaks down with all 4 men involved in the ring often. One of these instances sees Little Ba$tard end up in a F-U attempt, while Finlay gets pinned by Lashley. Cena & Lashley then work well together in taking on the extra size of The Big Show, resulting in the WWE Champ finishing off the ECW Champ with an impressive F-U at a little over 12 minutes. Booked more conventionally than Team Dx vs Team RKO, this bout did a good job in keeping the action moving & highlighting the strengths of the combatants involved. I would have preferred a little more length (with the middle eliminations moving too quickly), while Umaga playing practically no part in proceedings was a little disappointing. But overall, this was pretty fun & had sufficiently entertaining & involving action that proved how useful these 10 man matches can be, without being superb. Match Rating…7.5
BATISTA defeated KING BOOKER to Win the World HeavyWeight Title: Considering the stipulation that this would be Batista's final shot at Booker's title, Teddy Long comes out prior to the bout & logically announces that the title would change hands if the King got disqualified or counted out! Batista gets impatient with Booker's lengthy entrance & attacks the King before the bell rings. In the ring, the Animal continues the domination with his usual power offense that surprisingly leaves the crowd as silent as they have been all night! Booker reverses the momentum by hanging the challenger up on the top-rope & then targetting he throat for a little while. His follow-up offense is rather average though, while the leisurely pace seems to suggest that they are trying to stretch this match out. Booker uses a Sharmell distraction to continue his offense at ringside, before (of all things) a resthold gets the crowd chanting Batista's name. The Animal hits a nice belly-to-belly & following some ringside offense, even goes to the top-rope for a shoulder tackle!
Both men then get 2 counts with a spine-buster & bookend respectively, before Booker reaches the ropes to save himself from the pinfall following a Batista Bomb. Sharmell then hands the title to the King & then inadvertently provides the distraction that allows Batista to use the title to get the victory at the 15 minute mark. Rather pedestrian bout that was an unsatisfactory pay-per-view main-event, despite not being anything too bad. The crowd were predominantly subdued due to the lack of pace & action throughout the bout, while the offense seemed un-natural & was terribly generic to the point that we see it on SmackDown from both men most weeks (apart from the average top-rope move from the new champ). Even the feud intensity that was built up well before the match was disappointingly played out during it. While the extended finishing sequence was decently put together, it only partially saved it & wasn't anything special for a ppv main-event. Match Rating…6.5
PPV RATING (47/70) = 67
Looking at the key, I have basically given the 2006 version of the 'Survivor Series' a 'B' grade & said that it was a ‘good event that was worth the money‘. Man, I'm really undecided if that was a true indication of this event & whether my PPV Ratings System has over-rated this a little. In fact, I'd almost go as far to say that this has been the most difficult review I have had to do all year. That's because the show came off as rather fun & entertaining to some extent, yet the match quality clearly did not back that up. Furthermore, the match lengths were clearly a problem, despite there being only 7 matches on the card. Time management was clearly an issue here, while the going-through-the-motions nature of the main-event left me with a negative outlook of the show as a whole. Another thing to consider is that we don't want to under-rate this event due to high expectations, but it seems that consistency (& the lack of nothing too terrible) has resulted in my ratings system over-rating it if anything. Confused? Me too. I suppose this truly was one of those "to each their own" shows & I'm somewhere on the fence!
DESSERT
December To Dismember Predictions
With the way the WWE has promoted this event, I wasn't even sure that I was going to fill up enough space for a column topic with these predictions. I know The Survivor Series hampered the promotion of this card to some extent, but ECW still had their weekly hour show to at least attempt to put forward match-ups in advance. It was really quite ridiculous that exactly one week before the show, we had only 1 bout that was known!
An excellent match-up was then officially added on Raw (6 days before the ppv) which would help sell the show a little more. But I still obviously looked forward to reading the latest ECW results with some interest hoping to be able to at least guess some further ppv bouts. But I got nothing but more hype for the 2 matches that had already been officially announced, if you don't count the fact that Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay teamed up on WWE programming for the first time (despite no hint as to who their potential ppv opponents may be).
So what I'm going to do is give my ppv predictions for the 2 announced matches & then briefly attempt to book the rest of the card come Sunday night. I can assure you that it's a darn difficult task seeing as though there are hardly any faces on the roster. Seriously, there are 4 faces in the Elimination Chamber & 3 others (excluding Stevie Richards & The FBI who sometimes flip-flop) on the whole roster!
In booking the rest of the matches, I am going to have to presume that no further roster members of SmackDown or Raw will appear in a wrestling capacity on the show. I will only briefly write about the particular match & the result, while I also don't see the point in trying to book the order of the bouts, as the match-ups will likely be incorrect anyway.
Ok, first to the 2 announced matches.....
THE HARDY BOYZ (Jeff & Matt Hardy) vs MnM (Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury): As I have already stated, this is a terrific addition to this card & could be classified as a dream match to some fans. The good thing about it is that it hasn't come from nowhere either with Jeff Hardy & Johnny Nitro already feuding on Raw, while Matt Hardy then went on to play his role with the 2 at The Survivor Series ppv. I have yet to see The Hardyz' most recent matches on Raw (against Edge & Orton) or on ECW (against Burke & Terkay), but I saw enough last week on ECW against The FBI to know that they are still very entertaining to watch & can put together a very good tag-team bout. It almost appeared as if they hadn't stopped teaming!
On the other side of the fence, MnM have always been a solid pairing & I can't see Mercury's absence from WWE programming adversely affecting him (or the team) too much. Meanwhile, Nitro's improved in-ring singles work can actually be used as part of the storytelling in this bout in that could effect the end result. I can actually see Mercury remaining on the ECW brand after this match & if that is the case, then that is another nice little tie-in for this match-up to occur. As for the result, everyone loves The Hardyz & the fans must go home happy. Winners: The Hardy Boyz
THE BIG SHOW vs ROB VAN DAM vs SABU vs CM PUNK vs TEST vs BOBBY LASHLEY in an Extreme Elimination Chamber Match for the ECW World Title: It was an interesting move by the WWE to put the Elimination Chamber on this pay-per-view, when they also had 2 traditionally low-rating cards upcoming (Armageddon & New Years Revolution). I suppose it was which event needed it the most, but even that must have been a close call. The factor that may have swayed the decision was the fact that the chamber could be a little different if it was done on an ECW card because they could fill it with weapons. I can't argue with that reasoning I suppose... As long as they don't go weapon crazy the whole way through the bout!
With this match being practically the only thing selling this event up until pretty much yesterday, I would say that too much planning has already gone into it for it not to be good. In fact, while the participants would suggest this is a silly comment, I wouldn't be surprised if this was right up there with the best WWE matches of 2006! Looking a little closely, the wrestlers bring a fair amount of variety to the equation & when you couple that with what the chamber brings, then this could be a nice mixture of everything if booked correctly. Expect some daredevil moves, expect some hardcore stuff & expect some decent selling of both. What needs to top this bout off is some logical booking (as is the case with all multi-man matches... especially when there are 4 faces & only 2 heels) & some genuine wrestling.
As for the result, any 6 man bout is always unpredictable to some extent. And I'm unsure if things become clearer or hazier when 2 men involved are in the doghouse, 1 is injured & 1 is new to the brand! I remember thinking about 2-3 weeks back that it would probably be best if The Big Show could retain for a further month or so. With the inclusion of Bobby Lashley to the bout, I'm not so certain that is required. I don't usually like having a new roster member win a World Title almost immediately, but I think it makes enough sense this time. It leaves a singles feud between the 2 giants in the back of our minds & as a WrestleMania 23 safety valve if the rumored bout involving The Big Show can't take place. Winner: Bobby Lashley
And here goes with my guesses as to the other possible bouts on this card.....
THE SANDMAN vs MATT STRIKER: This feud has some history to it, so it may as well be on this card. From memory, they have squared off in the ring together, but it was mainly Striker stalling & trying to run to the back. A more conventional match could take place here, with some sort of hardcore entertainment value thrown in somehow to keep the ECW fans happy. Sandman wins.
HARDCORE HOLLY vs BALLZ MAHONEY: Not exactly my 2 favorite wrestlers in the world, that's for certain. I see Holly definitely being on the card in a singles match, which means it's either against Ballz or Tommy Dreamer. I would probably prefer the Dreamer match-up, but I'd prefer Tommy to be used elsewhere. So this one should just go through the motions until Holly wins.
TOMMY DREAMER vs KEVIN THORN: This one could actually be quite decent. They have wrestled in competitive bouts on the weekly tv show before, but some extra time could actually lead to this being good. With a bit of luck it would be booked to showcase Thorn's interesting & innovative offensive repertoire, while Dreamer plays off of his opponent in his usual character-driven way. A toss up as to the result here, but I would probably give the win to Thorn.
LITTLE GUIDO & TONY MAMALUKE vs ELIJAH BURKE & SYLVESTER TERKAY: I originally had Daivari & The Great Khali against The FBI, but with Burke & Terkay wrestling as a team on the weekly ECW show on Tuesday night, I gues that they will be somewhere on this card. Guido & Mamaluke will obviously play the face characters here & they will petty much get squashed by the victorious Burke & Terkay.
KELLY KELLY vs ARIEL vs TRINITY in a Beauty Contest: I don't think Kelly or Ariel can wrestle, so this will be some kind of beauty contest where Kelly or Trinity win & then Arial attacks resulting in a "catfight" shrill from Joey Styles.
MIKE KNOX vs STEVIE RICHARDS: Knox could possibly be better placed against Dreamer or Ballz, but I would prefer he be the odd man out rather than Holly or Thorn. So he basically has to be fed a face jobber & the only other possible option for that is Richards. Knox wins quickly.
Ok, so that is my half-a$$ed attempt at booking the very first 'December To Dismember' pay-per-view ever. It better be a good show, or else I will be sorry for ordering an event that only had 2 matches advertised for it. If I get more than 2 of my suggested match-ups correct, then it would be a bl00dy miracle. If the God of Logic does appear over the next few days & more bouts are announced for the pay-per-view, then I might add my predictions in my feedback thread in the LOP Forums. Everyone can view this thread (you don't have to be a forums member) & the link is in the next paragraph.
That is all for column #207. I hope you all enjoyed it. It was sort of strange writing a review & predictions column all in one. But that's what you get when the WWE want to bleed us dry! Anyway, if you would like to email me feedback on any of the 3 topics that I spoke of today, you are more than welcome to do so. As per usual, I will reply to everyone. You can email me on DaveyBoy123@bigpond.com. But if you are an LOP Forums member, it would be much appreciated if you could leave feedback on my thread at http://www.lopforums.com/showthread.php?t=217&page=2
Next week in 'The Wrestling Menu', I will obviously have my review of the December To Dismember ppv. Here's hoping to a good show. Taking up the remainder of column #208 will be a special column that I look to do annually around this time of the year. It always makes for a great & entertaining read & I'm certain this year will be no exception. I'm actually going to hold off on telling you what it is for now because I don't want the flurry of emails that I am definitely going to get to come so early. If I remember, I may post the special topic on my forums thread come the weekend or early next week, so be on the look out there if anything. As per usual, my column will be posted at the same Wednesday time on the same LOP channel. Until then, this is DaveyBoy signing off & asking you to remember that dinner is best served in 3 courses.
