Ridin’ With The Bossman – TNA Fans Respond, and Wrestlemania Predictions Greetings! Welcome to another edition of Ridin’ With The Bossman! The column that is personally responsible for keeping Jeff Jarrett off TV. Just a couple more weeks Jeffy and you can have those negatives. And no worries. Vince has made me an offer, but being offered a spot in the Kiss My Ass club is not even worth considering. Well, we got some stuff to talk about this week, with a WWE PPV and it’s preluding hype, some reader emails, and the return of OAW. And, I did catch TNA’s show this week. My cable channel lied to me and said it was on at 11 PM on Thursday, when it was really on at 10 PM. Factor in Arizona’s disregard for daylight savings, and it’s a bit confusing. Still, I caught it on Saturday. So, without further ado, let’s babbly about some wrestling. WWE TV – The Series Raw Recap courtesy of Chad Matthews Show opens with Team Cena Cena calls out Big Show. Out comes Team Rated RKO who say they can beat anyone. Out comes Team Crufter, who starts to say something, but I think Ric forgot what he was going to say. Out comes Team Spirit Squad. Then out comes Team DX. Great line by HBK calling for the start of the Royal Rumble. That was classic. Finally Team Big Show comes out. They head for the ring, and it does indeed look like the Royal Rumble is about to happen. Vince comes out and puts a stop to it. Very nice job of hyping the matches for Sunday. Sabu vs Umaga Total squash match. Umaga beat the hell out of Sabu and gets the win. Torrie, Carlito, and Masters Penis jokes, and a beat down of Masters, followed by a beat down of Carlito. Hell, at least Torrie got on TV. Hardy vs Nitro IC Ladder Match Good match. Not a classic, but a great effort by these guys. I’m impressed by Jeff Hardy. He’s come in and worked hard, and had some great matches. Interestingly enough, the ladder from that match is available in WWE Auction site. The eight-foot ladder is signed by Nitro and Hardy. And it’s got some big dents in it. It’s going for over $200 dollars, but I imagine that’s mostly shopping costs. Hey, it’s an 8-foot ladder. You can't send that through UPS. JR made the comment that the IC title has changed hands a lot lately. I like that. It shows that competition is fierce for that title, and that it means something. Of course, after that match, I’d have Jeff sit out for a while. He has been putting on some great matches, but they’re probably taking a toll. Same thing with Nitro, more than likely. Some media appearances, or autograph signings would not be a bad thing. For Jeff and WWE. Oh yeah, Jeff won the IC title back. Dusty Rhodes vs Nicky Dusty wins. Dusty falls down only once. Horrible match. When Dusty came out? Very quiet. After he won, still fairly quiet, though I did see some goofs dancing in the front row. Tangent Look, if the purpose of having all these crufters on TV is for the Hall Of Fame, well, that’s months away. We got Dusty, Ron Simmons, Hacksaw, Tatanka, Sgt Slaughter, Roddy Piper, and more on the way, all taking up TV time. In small doses, not bad. Every week? Come on. I’m from that era and I can only speak for myself, but honestly, not interested in seeing them on my TV. In an actual match. Canadian and Cryme Tyme Edge and Lita are talking, Maria is dragged over by Randy, and she asks if they can beat DX or something, and then Cryme Tyme is watching Kane’s movie, and Edge and Orton can't understand them, but says they’ll kick their ass, or something. Cryme Tyme then steal Maria. Poor Maria. Lita vs Mickie James Lita makes Mickie wear a hood, and then beats the crap out of her. Then, we learn, in Lita’s best promo in years, that she’s going to retire after Survivor Series. Tangent Lita is right. She was and arguably still is, a model for a generation of women. It is debatable that without Lita their wouldn’t be a Trish Stratus. But Trish may never have had the success she had without Lita paving the way. Lita broke the Sable mold that all women were put into. Lita did flashy moves. Lita was over, to an unbelievable degree. Lita was an inspiration. Thank you Lita. Now, show us your boobs before you go. Captains Match The captains from all the teams are put together as a team and face the other captains who make up a team. So, it’s Edge, Orton, Big Show, and Kenny vs H, HBK, Cena, and Flair. DX came out last, so that the heels could beat up the faces. Then we had spots where a lone heel was trapped by the faces. Oh, and HBK sold for the faces a lot. End saw Cena just get tired of sitting on the sidelines and come in and get the pin. Not bad. Not a bad but of last minute hyping and a very good show came out of it. Tons of wrestling, less skits, and specifically, less DX ass kissing. ECW Recap Info Courtesy of Eddie Martin Ratings info show that this was one of the best shows in months. I think it can be attributed to the Hardy Boys tagging together. Still, the show was very well put together, so some one was on the ball. Striker Speaks And is boring. Sorry Striker fans, but the New York schoolteacher means little to me. Bobby Lashley makes the interest save. Bobby then squashes Striker in record time. Good. Hardyz vs F.B.I. Good match. Classic style and very entertaining. Tag wrestling really should make a return on ECW. Hardys get the win. Kevin Thorne vs CM Punk All right! Thorne makes it back to TV. Pretty solid match. Kelly Kelly comes out and cheers on Punk. We then get a catfight between Ariel and Kelly. Thorne and Ariel then leave, and Punk gets the win. Knoxx is shown at the entryway. Bum bum buuuummmmm. Big Show Speaks Heyman is with him. Shows says that no one can beat him. Lashley then shows up, and they brawl. Lashley takes out Show, and poses with the belt. RVD vs Holly Typical good, not great match. RVD’s spot in the Chamber is on the line. Please Vince, don't give us Test and Hardcore on the same night. That sounds like Doom. RVD wins. Phew. Solid show. Nice to see the Hardys back in action. It does raise the question that WWE might be trying to tap into nostalgia again. First DX, now the Hardys. It could be a good thing, it could be bad. I wouldn't recommend it though. Both guys have something going on, individually, that could lead to go things, if given more time. Jeff has the IC title, and Matt needs to get pushed. Still, for ECW TV it did help having them on. Smackdown Recap info courtesy of Rudi Pavani MVP vs Kane, Steel Cage Match First? Well, OK. Kane pretty much beats the crap out of MVP. Short match too. MVP manages to sneak out and over the top of the cage for the win. Interesting ending. Not bad. Jimmy Wang vs Gregory Helms Finally, Jimmy gets some time, and boy does he use it. Great match. I really liked it. Helms does win, but that’s not a bad thing. Jimmy showed what he could do, both on offense, which was amazing, and on defense, which was solid. Helms looked good, and Jimmy looked better. His chick was with him, and WWE needs to think of stuff for her to do. Booker, Sharmell, and Teddy Booker wants Teddy to sign a scroll that says that Batista cannot challenge Booker for the title again if Batista loses. OK, big signal flare that Batista is going to win the belt. I hope not. Teddy says he’ll sign it. Good stuff, but the subject matter left a lot to be desired. Kendrick vs Regal Regal comes to the ring with Dave Taylor. HE’S ALIVE! He still can't wrestle for another two months or so, but by GAWD, there he is! Regal wins. Good match, with plenty of innovative offense. Kennedy Speaks He’s trying really hard to be intense, and to a degree, he’s succeeding, but he’s right on the edge of slipping into goofiness. He calls out Undertaker again. Taker, miracles of miracles, shows up. Kennedy runs away, and gets a blood bath. Could have been a lot worse. Again, it’s right on the edge of slipping into goofiness, but to give WWE credit, they’re doing fine. Finlay vs Benoit Chavo interferes, and attacks the knee. Tangent I hate the injury before a big match angle. It’s just stupid. The guy goes in at less than 100% and has to sell a bogus injury all match long, and then, nine times out of ten, wins. Which makes the match less in my opinion. Benoit wins, thank heavens. Boogeyman vs The Miz OK, now, the participants are despised across the net, and I shouldn't have any reason to like them, but I do. I liked this match. It was corny. It appealed directly to my cheesey senses. Plenty of unintentional comedy. Right up to the just foul finish of Boogey drooling worms on the ref. Not bad I say. Contract Signing OK, I hate contract signings. But this was done well. Booker made his speech and then flipped the table on Batista which looked good. Beat down, come back, escape, and it’s over. Your main event people. Not a bad show, and did a good job of hyping Survivor Series. Still, the stip for the title, where Batista can't challenge for it again gave away the ending. Now, it still might not happen, but come on. WWE is basically saying that Batista is going to win. Wait and see I guess, and I did. I saw Survivor Series and Throw the results in here, in brief. Survivor Series Recap info courtesy of Chad Matthews Team Ric Flair beat Team Spirit Squad Not bad, but some awful looking offense from Team Crufter. Ric beats Kenny and Johnny. Then gets beaten down. Bullshit double DQ for the first eliminations on both sides. Benoit vs Chavo Benoit wins, in the best match on the show. Both men showed a lot of intensity. Good grudge match. Lita vs Mickie Mickie wins. Not bad, but not great. Crowd finally got into it, and then it ended before it really peaked. Cryme Tyme pulled a Bossman earlier, and then sold off Lita’s stuff. Could have been a lot better, but hey, not CHRIS DEJOSPEHS, so I’m grateful for that. Team DX Squashed Team Rated RKO Wiped out all five members. Just like that. Funny stuff with Knoxx, then just sad. Kennedy vs Undertaker Kennedy won, but really lost. Taker beat the shit out of him after the match. Team Cena vs Team Big Show Another bullshit DQ right off the bat. Best Survivor Series style match though. Lashley and Cena took out Big Show. Batista vs Booker T Batista won. Now what? Yeah, a pretty lame PPV. Lots of commercials. Lots of hype, and none of it delivered. READER MAIL Hey, I am a long-time reader of your column and for the most part, quite enjoy it. However, I would like to share some constructive criticism of your feelings towards TNA. I am not going to sit here and criticize your opinions of TNA wrestling, its matches, pay-per-views and storylines, but I do feel the need to remind you that if you do not know the subject matter that you are criticizing (constantly), then you happen to lose any and all credibility. Your latest article, "Thankful for TNA" was mindboggling to me. In the article, you let loose on a relentless stream of insults on TNA and more specifically, its storylines centered around its primetime special. Again, I am not going to talk about your views because (a) you're entitled to your own opinions and (b) despite your best efforts, some of them are actually on the mark. However, my advice for you is simply: If you are going to insult the show, at least watch it to know what you are talking about! Throughout your assessment of the TNA primetime special, you make mention of a total lack of storylines surrounding the action on the TV. For instance the LAX (and yes it is 'Hernandez' - just FYI for future articles) versus AMW angle had been built up for over a month on TNA programming, but you say in your article that it makes no sense that these two teams would be feuding. This continues throughout your article, you have no idea why something is happening and in your opinion it therefore makes no sense whatsoever. However, if you were to tune in weekly to the show that you claim to know everything about, you would fully understand the underlying storylines (weak as some may be). In closing, I am not criticizing your views of TNA. I have been watching the product for years after longing for an alternative to the Triple H show, and I have been constantly frustrated by the lack of a sensible direction for the show, including their recent acquisitions. I do however feel the need to tell you that as a columnist, you have a responsibility to at least understand what you are talking about. If I write an article on nuclear physics no one would take it seriously. If I turn on Raw tonight and have no idea what is going on and then criticize the show because everything appears to be spur of the moment with no prior build-up, well then I would have about the same level of credibility as I feel you do. Please continue to share your views on TNA, but at least watch the show that you are dissecting once in a while! - Sean Thanks for writing Sean. I got a lot of email similar to this one. This one basically sums up the main complains with my review of TNA last week. I understand where they are coming from. However, there is one thing that seems to be overlooked about this. The main objection I have to this response is this. If you, or anyone, are interested in a show, you have to start watching sometime. If you’re going to watch a serial show, like “Lost”, “Survivor”, or “My Name Is Earl”, and didn't see the first episode, does that mean that one has to do extensive research to be “privileged” to watch said show? Shouldn't a person be able to just jump right in and start watching? Yes, some of the finer plot points may be missed, but the overall theme should be enough to keep said viewers, and provide an incentive to learn more about the show’s going on. Having additional knowledge, from being a long time viewer, is a bonus. You can spot the tie-ins to previous episodes. It’s a treat, not a duty. Now, with wrestling, and I’ve watched a lot of wrestling, there’s this annoying habit of just disregarding what has gone on before. For myself, I have watched bits and pieces of TNA over the years of it’s existence. I’ve loosely followed the angles. And I use that term, ah-ha, loosely. I was under the impression that this show was going to be a reset show. New time slot, new direction, Angle was going to show up and everything was going to change. Hell, TNA all but told me that was going to happen in it’s advertising. As for my criticism, well, I didn't like it. I wasn’t going to lie and say I did, because I didn't know the finer details of the angle. It should have been irrelevant in any case. In fact, it mostly was. LAX was going to burn the flag. So what? So were the UnAmericans in WWE. Didn't care then, still don't now. The point is, if people are willing to watch the show, period, that should make TNA fans happy. Hell, if anyone is willing to watch wrestling, WWE or TNA, which should make wrestling fans happy. But you should be prepared for stupid questions, and be ready to realize that a new fan, whether it be to wrestling period, or TNA, is going to be at a disadvantage. And when they learn the background, think about whether that is going to make them care more, or less. Like a newbie asking what’s the deal with Kane. Do you really want to load them up with the whole Katie Vick background? Or should you wait until they get more comfortable with the product and realize that WWE is run by really creepy people, before you hit them with that? Sean, I do hear what you're saying, and I do understand. I am intrigued by what’s going on with TNA, and curious as to where it’s going. But I’m going to give my opinions based on what I see. As the show goes on, and I get more familiar with the characters, and angles, well, my opinion may change. And now for another take: Hi I just read your column and pretty much agree with your opinions. I'm sure those rabid "smart" tna fans have emailed you already and gave your mailbox a thrashing. I bet most of them can be found in the impact zone. Anyways, I too am a casual tna watcher but I follow WWE every week except for smackdown because for some stupid reason we don't get the CW network in Hawaii for our basic cable. I hear smackdown has improved since i last saw a show this past summer. Yes DX does dominate the show I wish that the team of Big Show and Kane got that much time because I think they could destroy pretty much any tag team in a shorter span that DX did. Well as long as HHH is doing his DX stuff he stays away from the belt. But we'll probably see him chase the title soon anyways. So I tuned into watch that TNA thing on primetime just to see what kind of card they would produce for their much hyped move to primetime. As a skeptic I wasn't expecting much. Well it seems as if TNA is moving away from pro wrestling and becoming a sports entertainment haven. Just by the promos aired the focus has been taken off of pro wrestling, aside from the joe/angle matches. After all that crap they put on thursday a little bit of me wanted to see double j come out. Nobody seems to care about those damn dudleys anymore, you're right. I think it's because they cant recognize brother ray or bubba ray or whatever he's called now. Since he know fits in the super heavyweight class now. That LAX anti-american thing seems forced much like the un-americans or muhammed hassan or whatever anti-american angle that the wwe has done. Besides who really cares about k-dawg anyway. The whole VKM angle is flat out retarded. Speaking of retarded I think i'd rather watch crazy angry retard eugene angle promos than stuff on TNA. Anyways back to the VKM crap I think that the crowd pretty much had the same sentiment as you because they didn't seem to thrilled when the roadie and the one or mr ass or chuck palumbo's lover started shooting on DX and vince. Most of the fans in the impact zone probably didnt even watch wrestling 8 years ago so they probably dont realize that mr ass was probably the lamest guy in DX. At least road dogg had mic skills and xpac could wrestle a good match in those days. I bet hhh does snipe at them a bit but yea its gonna be an inside thing. I wonder what theyre gonna do ride in an army vehicle and shoot down wwe headquarters? or to prove their point are the road dogg and billy gunn going to have a committment ceremony since they love to recycle their old angles? Hey vince russo is there maybe he'll have David Arquette come in and pin Samoa Joe. Yes I also agree that the fans chants of this is awesome sounded fake. Like when the fans chanted that for the Mike Awesome/Tanaka match from ONS 05 that was real. Awesome was a traitor but yet the fans chanted it cause the match itself was good. Wow Rhino has seriously improved since he got to TNA he now can punch and use botched moves to try to get the match over. I feel sorry for Christian he must see how great Edge is doing and miss the good old days of the 2 man conchairto. That x-division match was ok but it becomes overshadowed with all this other crap that goes on. Angle vs Abyss was ok. Anytime angle is in the ring he pretty much can carry the person he's facing to a good match. However Abyss is in the old school power wrestler mold but wait he uses thumbtacks so he's hardcore. Ugh maybe Mick Foley can ask for his thumbtacks and mask back. Honestly TNA did nothing to want me to watch weekly. At least the WWE has things that makes me wanna watch all the time, like Mickie James. While WWE has some holes in their programming, it's not at a second rate level, like TNA. Maybe TNA should invest in a music producer because every theme song sounds like a guitar riff. Anyways thanks for reading this ry Thanks for writing Ryan. But I do disagree that TNA did nothing to make people want to watch. See, part of my interest, and this will probably upset TNA fans, is that I want to see if TNA can pull it together and make something good. Damn it, Russo has me hooked on the “Car Crash” scene. I am familiar with Russo and his style. And I love cheese. And well, the TNA special had plenty of both. Now, I want to see what happens. Bottom-line. Good or bad. I want to know. I’m hoping for the best, but bracing for the worst. And with Russo, well, I can never tell what I’m going to get. So, yeah, I won't call myself a new fan. But a new spectator? Yeah, that fits. Your column is my favorite reading column on LOP after Tito... I'm just saying that so you don't think I'm just another hater, but... You must be fucking kidding if you think Todd Grisham did a good job in the mic... you MUST be fucking kidding. Look me straight in the fucking face into my fucking eyes and tell me you enjoyed him talk about how amazing Johnny Nitro's abs are. That's all I'm going to say. Thanks for writing Gabriel. I do think Todd did a good job., He was comfortable in his role on the mic, and worked well with JR. Now, his material sucked ass, but he delivered it well. There’s more from Gabriel. Yeah, I agree that he definitely wasn't intimidaded and sounded comfortable on the job. But that quality can be easily found in many announcers anyway. And I agree that he's better than Coach who sounded like he took some medication before the show, because he sounded happy all the time. But it doesn't mean that Todd should be anywhere near the announcing table ever again. He WAS voted the worst announcer of 2004 in the Wrestling Observer if that counts. Anyway, about DX, the problem I have with them it's not that the program puts H over, but it makes HBK look EMBARASSINGLY weak against ANYBODY compared to H. Even fucking Lance Cade and Murdoch. I don't think that hurts HBK in the long run but it's still a problem. I find your hatred for Triple H and Steph hilarious. I don't think he is THAT bad in the past 2 years since he has actually put over a few wrestlers like Batista, Benoit and Cena. Can't hate him for that. I disagree. More often than not, there’s the feeling that what they say isn't their own words. See Tazz, Cole, Coach, and many guest announcers. They get fed the lines, and repeat them, but there’s usually that tell tale pause before they speak the words, and when they do, it sounds like they’re just parroting them. Great point about HBK. And then there’s the H question. I get it a lot. Mainly in an angry email. So, I’ll refer you here. Damn, I’m not sure what column it was in, but I laid out my problems with H in detail in one of them. I’ll see if I can find it before next week. But basically, it’s this: H has talent. But H, and through is associations, he knows only one way to book himself. Squash city. H did put over Benoit. It was the right thing to do, and it was a good thing. After two, three years of H not just being on top, but THE TOP, period, it was necessary. H had to lose. And he did. To the perfect person. The IWC darling. But then Benoit was shoved into the tag division, as champion, and that was not good. H did put over Cena. Kind of. Edge had more to do with Cena’s success than H. H went out of his way to put Batista over, and did a great job. But doing one job a year, basically making some one look good for a month, is not an excuse to let the guy off the hook for the other 11 months he’s been booked as unstoppable. Putting over those guys should and does cut him some slack, but it’s not a horse that can be ridden forever. Like now. See, H is part of creative. You can't forget that. H has a say in what happens with his angles. A lot of say, actually. He’s the number three, possibly #2, guy in the company. And the non-stop H push is happening again, just like the previous time. Only now, it’s “DX”, not just H. Look, if the plan is for DX to face off against Edge and Orton for Wrestlemania, well, burying Edge and Orton for the past four months, and doing so for another four, is not going to do anyone any favors. I’ll say it again. H has talent. He has the aura of a big star. But it needs something to balance against to make the magic work. An equal. Like with Batista. Like with Benoit. Like with Edge. Otherwise, the fans, and not just the net fans, know that the reason he’s getting this special treatment has more to do with who he is married to, than with actual talent. Hell, he only works a match, beyond punchy-punchy kick once a month, if that. It’s not like it’s hard to see. And with that, let’s close up the mail bag. Thanks to everyone who wrote me. I apologize now if you didn't get a response. I’m a lazy, er, busy, busy man. Lots to do. Thanks for writing and take care. Over-Analyzing Wrestling Today’s Topic: Wrestlemania And it’s going to be a short one. Short in length, but hopefully long in thought provoking. Is it too early to think about Wrestlemania? I don't think so. Hell, I think WWE should start planning the next one as soon as the currenty one goes off the air. So saying, I read on the mainpage that tickets for the 2007 Wrestlemania have sold out. Without one match being announced. That’s scary. Why, you may ask? For a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it takes all the pressure off WWE for putting on a good show. We may get Survivor Series 2006 and six. Sold more on the name and promise of gimmicks than actual good wrestling, and more importantly, good angles, and plans for the future. I mean really, WWE could just have Vince and H sing duets for two hours, and have a bunch of 2 minute squash matches, and what are fans going to do? WWE just made a couple of million bucks on the name alone. They didn't tell fans anything other than that the show is in Detroit, and well, the poor suckers are flocking to Detroit. Detroit for God’s sake! Yet, Wrestlemania is the time for the new crop to step up and get recognized. It’s the biggest stage of them all. It’s also a time to start the argument, right before the end of the year, when all the award columns start cropping up, as to which superstar is the most deserving. Now, a point could be made that WWE has created new stars. An equal point can be made that WWE has not created new stars, but given old stars a chance to prove what fans have been saying for a long time. That the star was deserving of the push, and finally got it. One name that leaps to mind is Edge. Edge has been in WWE for a long time. 2006 is the year that Edge took the big step to become a main eventer. And he proved he was worth it. But I do not consider Edge a “new” star. I can think of a few stars that are ready to take the big step to the big stage. But the question is, do they have the total package it takes to make it as a main eventer? Some seem to, like Carlito. Carlito can speak, and he can wrestle. He has the ability to attract fan support, heel or face. But does he have enough? If put into a program on a higher level, can he make it work? So far, he’s been in the middle of the card. Two runs with the IC belt have been good, but nothing stellar. In my opinion, it takes more than just physical ability to be a main eventer. The ultimate standard of main eventing are guys like Austin, the Rock, and Hulk Hogan. Both of them had more than just physical ability, or the ability to work a mic. They had the charisma to be seen as stars. That’s really something that is more innate than can be taught. Coached, perhaps, but not really taught. Orton can speak, and wrestle, but on the charisma level, he’s just not there, and may never be. But guys like Nitro, who can wrestle, and speak, maybe not perfectly, could eventually become huge stars, if given the opportunity. His matches have been exciting. But could he last the four odd months to make it to Wrestlemania? Look at the calendar, and it seems possible. But in those months, that’s a lot of TV time, and without the right angle, and the right opponent, it could all be for naught. There’s the Rumble to think about as well. The Rumble is the stepping stone to Wrestlemania. The winner gets to go on. And that’s where it should all really start. With planning for the Rumble. Right now, there doesn't seem to be any clear contenders for the big belts. For example, on Smackdown. Batista just won the belt, but other than Booker, I can't really think of a clear contender. There’s Finlay, but just doesn't seem to have “it”. Kennedy? Well, the fall out from the Undertaker match has yet to be felt. I’m not sure it really did the job. On Raw, it’s a vacuum. Plenty of talent on Raw, but no one has been positioned to face Cena. Umaga is a candidate, but he’s not close. ECW has a clearer title picture, but the backstage politics are mucking it up. Lashley is the heir apparent, and a good one, but other than RVD, who is there? Show? He could be gone any day. Not fired, but due to injury, and pushing his schedule and work load could shorten that considerably. Survivor Series was about groups. The Rumble is about individuals. Survivor Series failed. Not miserably, but the concept of just having a group of guys win, and get a rub from it, well, now it has to be transferred to individuals, and that can get tricky. The Rumble is not that far off, and there’s like two PPV’s until then. I think. Not sure if Smackdown is having one or not. All I’ve heard about is ECW. And like I said, they seem to have a clear picture of who is going to get the belt, and who is going to be in a feud for it. But even they have a question mark. Time to take a good look at what talent you have WWE, and make a decision now, while there is still time to make adjustments. What talent is going to go up, and who is going to do the lifting. And with that, let’s call it a day. Quick plugs and that’s all I wrote. OOPS! I forgot about the TNA review. Oh well, it will have to wait until next week.
