Fans chant “DX sucks,” The finish was Kip James hitting a reverse DDT on Devine for the win. Afterwards BG James got on the mic and addressed Vince McMahon, HHH and Shawn Michaels. He said that the ground war will be starting this Thursday night on iMPACT!.
Next, Johnny Devine is walked back to the ring by Kazarian and Maverick Matt. Devine is bound and tied and the two former X-Division champions have cane poles at the ready. They placed Devine on his knees and struck an odd pose as Raven’s entrance hit. Devine looked as if he knew what he was about to go through and seemingly accepted it. The always overdressed Raven and Kazarian struck at Devine’s back until it was blistered over. Almost as quickly as it ended Raven left and the show switches to backstage.
Shane Douglas cuts a promo alongside his Naturals about his team defeating Team 3D at their own game in the Tables Match last week on iMPACT!
Match Two: The Franchised Naturals v. Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal A fast paced bout that saw both teams takes the advantage. Sonjay and Lethal displayed high risk double team maneuvers but it was The Franchise’s interference that gained the Naturals the quick victory in this short match. Winner: The Franchised Naturals
Next Jeremy Borash interviews the LAX recapping the last weeks impact! where the Latino’s attempt to burn the American flag was thwarted by Petey Williams. Also Borash explains that TNA Management Director Jim Cornette will be live at the iMPACT! Zone promising punishment for the LAX’s actions. Konnan interrupts boasting that no gringo will tell the LAX what to do and that they are America citizens protected by the 1st Amendment. LAX promises that the beatings of Gail Kim and AMW will be nothing in comparison to the beatings that is coming to them tonight.
Match Three: TNA X Division Championship, Christopher Daniels (C) v. Chris Sabin The Fallen Angel explains before the match that even though he and AJ Styles are best friends the X Division Title will come first and that Chris Sabin has lost is respect and honor that the division represents. Daniels dominates the early portion of the match and forces Sabin outside the ring to catch his breath. After a short scuffle outside Sabin takes over using the guardrails and ring steps. Tenay and West pay heavy attention to Sabin’s attitude change even comparing him to Kobe Bryant. Daniels takes back control when he hits and amazing cross body drop from the top rope onto Sabin outside the ring. AJ Styles made his way ringside to watch over his friend and tag partner seemingly after Sabin’s attempt to bring chairs into the match. The Fallen Angel hits the Saving Grace and BME but Sabin managed to kick out as the fans chant “This is awesome.” After a short back and forth exchange Chris Daniels secures the win with an inside cradle to successfully defend his title. Sabin is not happy about the loss and he tries to attack Daniels with a chair, but the X Division father Jerry Lynn makes the save and demands that Sabin show Daniels respect. After an argument Sabin shakes his hand but hits the Cradle Shock and rolls out of the ring. Winner: The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels
Paparazzi Productions are seen in a skit where Kevin Nash explains to his team that they must win. Austin Starr and Alex Shelley agree but Starr insists that Shelley pay him the $100 for losing his Paparazzi court case from Thursday.
Match Four: Paparazzi Productions v. Lance Hoyt and Ron “Truth” Killings In filler match that sees Kevin Nash sitting ring side calling the match with Tenay and West. He reveals that on Thursday's "Impact," he is calling a meeting with all the X-Division stars. Both teams show inexperience working together but when Shelley demands that Starr repositions the ringside camera. He complies but in the process Hoyt rolls up Shelley and gains the upset. Winner: Hoyt and Killings
Match Five: Christian Cage v. AJ Styles As entrances go underway Tenay explains that this is the first TNA meeting of Styles and Daniels. AJ used his usual repertoire of high flying moves including a flipping over the top rope missing Cage. The match had many near falls but the fans were not into the match. Styles hit an amazing hurricanrana off the top rope. However Cage eventually gained the upper hand but was met by Christopher Daniels who came in for the save stealing the chair. However it backfired and Cage pinned Styles for the win. After the match AJ Styles verbally berated his tag partner for what he believed was Daniels costing him the match. Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal run in to separate the two followed by Rhino. He says he won't let Styles and Daniels have a falling out like he had with his former best friend, Christian Cage. AJ calls Rhino Dr. Phil and leaves the ring in disgust to the surprise of Tenay and West. Winner: Christian Cage
Match Six: NWA World Tag Team Championship, LAX (C) v. AMW The fans are whole heartedly behind AMW in the match as chants of USA ring out early and often. The teams fight back and forth with no team in clear control. AMW hits the death sentence on Hernandez but the referee can’t go to the pin as Konnan jumped onto the apron for the quick distraction. This gave Homicide the chance to hit James Storm on the back of the head with the blow torch and Hernandez covered for the pinfall. Afterwards Homicide tries to hit the Gringo Killer on Gail Kim but Petey Williams comes in for the save. Winner: LAX
Jim Cornette comes out with everyone still in the ring and says that this "gringo white boy has something to stay to all of you." Cornette wasn’t sure if the LAX’s recent actions were some type of publicity stunt of it they really were that bitter. However Cornette believes that burning the flag is simply bad tastes. Furthermore, TNA management and fans including the men and women over seas were not happy about it. So with that in mind Cornette decided that the proper course of action would be to strip LAX of the tag team titles. The fans chant “bullshit” at the decision as AMW and Petey Williams celebrate with the American flag in the ring.
Match Seven: NWA World Heavyweight Championship, Sting (C) v. Abyss Jeremy Borash was unable to complete his introductions as Sting went straight after Abyss searching for revenge. The rulebook was thrown out seemingly early as Sting used the bat and Abyss a chair. A barbed wire table was set up early in the match as Sting and Abyss battled throughout the iMPACT! Zone. Eventually the match goes back into the ring and Sting is able to lock the monster Abyss in the Scorpion Deathlock but he gets to the rope. Abyss then came back with a huge Black Hole Slam on Sting, coveres, but Sting kicks out. Abyss pulls out the thumbtacks and eventually chokeslams Sting onto them. The crowd popped for the unexpected spot. Sting is covered but amazingly kicked out. Sting hulks up and puts Abyss into another Deathlock but Father James Mitchell distracts the referee. Abyss tapped but the ref had his hands full. In disgust Sting seemed to lose himself as he hung Abyss upside with a rope and repeatedly beat Abyss with a chair. That wasn’t all, as afterwards Sting threw Abyss into the barbed wire tables and shoved referee Rudy Charles on numerous occasions. Eventually Charles called for the bell and had the ring announcer call to a confused looking Sting that Abyss has won the match and title via DQ. Mike Tenay mentioned how titles could change hands on a DQ finish in TNA. Father James Mitchell laughs towards Sting as Abyss is handed the World Heavyweight Championship. Winner: Abyss, via DQ
Match Eight: Kurt Angle v. Samoa Joe The fans are heavy into the Dream Match of The Century from the start. They chant “This is awesome” before the match gets past the lock-up. The match starts slow until Joe works Angle to the outside and throws him into the ring steps. Angle slowly reentered the ring bleeding from the head. Joe welcomed him with a headbutt and attempted to open the cut by pulling it apart. The two reversed numerous times but eventually Kurt Angle drops him with a German suplex but couldn’t get the third for the famed Hat Trick. Joe was able to hit Angle with a muscle buster but Angle kicks out. Angle answers with an Angle Slam to which Joe kicks out. Angle removed the straps and locks in the Angle lock but it is reversed into Joe’s Kohena Clutch. Angle unbelievably reversed it back into the Angle lock. Angle fell back and locked it in and Joe is forced to tap around the 13 minute mark. Joe has finally been defeated in TNA. Winner: Kurt Angle
As Angle leaves the ring a beaten Joe grabs the mic and demands Angle back into the ring. Joe announces his respect for Angle and says that he was the better man tonight. Joe extends his hand and asks for the rematch. Fans chanted "one more match," but Angle refused to shake Joe's hand and walks out if the ring. Joe displays a bit of a smile says they’ll have to do this the hard way to end the show.
