    SmackDown *SPOILERS* from Manchester, England
    14/11/2005

The arena was sold out again, with 15,000 fans there.

    Dark Match:
    Funaki df KC James
Funaki received a somewhat surprising pop, and James got a lot of heat.
After about 5 minutes, Funaki picked up the win with a sunset flip.

    SmackDown
The Boogeyman df The Miz & Krystal
The Miz came down to the ring with Krystal before the start of the taping,
and his match with the Boogeyman opened the show. There was little reaction
from the crowd throughout the match. After about two minutes of nothingness,
the Miz left the ring and was counted-out, while the Boogeyman tortured
Krystal with the worms for the third week on the bounce.

A short video of Rey Mysterio’s surgery was played.

    Chris Benoit df Tatanka
Benoit got a great reception from the crowd, and looked great as always in
the ring. Tatanka got a decent amount of offence in, targeting Benoit’s
ribs, but he was eventually forced to tap out to the sharpshooter. Benoit
picked up the win after about 6-8 minutes or so. Immediately after the
match, Chavo ran-in and attacked Benoit, hitting his knee with a steel
    chair.

Leyla came out to the ring and started putting the crowd’s signs on the
titantron. There were a few ‘JBL for Prime Minister’ signs, but most
comically was Leyla reading out a sign that said ‘Sucker-T, King of the Ass
    Ring’.

Teddy Long and Bobby Lashley spoke backstage about Lashley’s decision to
answer the open challenge in the Extreme Elimination Chamber at December to
Dismember. Being as the WWE don’t want to have the other 5 as a world
champion yet, Lashley will most probably win the ECW title.

    William Regal df Paul London
The crowd didn’t really know who to cheer for in this match. Most of the
adults cheered for the Brit, but most of the kids were cheering for London.
As really moved out of the way of the charging Paul London, he caused London
to inadvertently take out Ashley in what looked like a rough bump. Kendrick
came sprinting from backstage to check on her condition, as the match
continued. Obviously distracted by the injury to his manager, London got
pinned after a boot to the head from Regal. Judging by what happened after
the match, it seems as though there is going to be a love triangle storyline
between London, Kendrick and Ashley. I really hope they don’t split them up!

In a filler segment, Michael Cole entered the ring and invited some ‘real
football’ fans into the ring. He tried to get them to do football chants,
but the whole segment sucked. One fan made the mistake of admitting he was a
Liverpool fan in a Manchester arena, as you can imagine that didn’t go down
very well. Note: This wont be included on SD.

MVP df Kane in a Street Fight
Next up was the pre-advertised Street Fight between MVP and Kane. This was
surprisingly a very good match. The two brawled all around ringside, and all
the way up the entrance way. MVP got a cut on his forehead when Kane smashed
his head into the glass telephone box on the stage. And after shutting MVP
inside, Kane tipped the phone box over! MVP took a lot of punishment.
Kennedy eventually charged to the ring, and he and MVP double-teamed Kane,
taking him down with a shot with the steel steps. With that MVP picked up
the win, but continued the assault after the match, until the Undertaker
made the save. Kennedy threw the unsuspecting MVP back into the ring, where
he got dismantled by the Brothers of Destruction, as Kennedy escaped out of
    the arena.

In a later segment backstage with MVP, Teddy announced that next week MVP
will take on Kane again. This time in a steel cage match!

Michelle McCool then hosted the Kiss Cam.

    Matt Hardy df Gregory Helms
This was a quick match, and was a decent standard. But it was nothing we
hadn’t seen before in their numerous matches this year. Hardy got a clean
win with the Twist of Fate, and I’m unsure of whether this will actually be
used in the show, as it was pretty much a throwaway.

Next the arena lights dimmed and a commercial for the Divas DVD was aired.
But the real reason was so they could sneak Little Bastard under the ring
    before the main event.

But before we got to the main event, the music of Big Dick Johnson hit. He
performed his usual stripper routine, and even got some fans to join him
dancing in the ring. Quite funny really.

Batista & Lashley df Finlay & King Booker
Booker got great heat for this match, and Batista got the louder pop out of
the two babyfaces. After a dominant start by Batista and Lashley, the heels
took over, as Bobby played the babyface in peril. Batista cleaned house of
the hot tag, and not even an interfering Sharmell could prevent him picking
up the pin on Booker following a spinebuster. After chasing away Little
Bastard, Batista milked the applause from the crowd, before Tony Chimel
thanked the fans, and closed the show.
