WWE News: Rey Mysterio to retire from wrestling?

• On the WWE.com main page, there is a breaking new story saying that this week on Smackdown, Rey Mysterio will make an appearance and could announce that he is retiring from wrestling.
  
  I believe that this is a full "work" story here that will be used to cover up the fact that Mysterio will be out of action for several months after undergoing surgery to repair the damage to his knee that he has been dealing with off and on for a while now. Here is the official announcement from WWE.com:
  
  "Sources tell WWE.com that Rey Mysterio will be at Friday Night SmackDown in Milwaukee next week to say goodbye. Friends of Mysterio say the former World Champion may actually announce his retirement. Those close to Rey say he is emotionally stressed following the months of struggle with former friends Vickie and Chavo Guerrero."
