WWE News: More on Francine's WWE release; "Weird demands" issued

Since reports first emerged that Vince McMahon was unhappy with ECW Vixen Francine's "look," she was considered an inevitable candidate for a release this year. WWE recently followed through with that release, and according to the Wrestling-Observer Newsletter, her look played a significant part in that decision.

Francine only lasted as long as she did due to WWE officials' interest in using her as "enhancement talent" for Kelly Kelly at house shows. Virtually all crowds preferred Kelly to Francine in the "Extreme Body" contests, which enabled the young ECW Vixen to develop a following for her looks.

But once Trinity—whose look WWE prefers—returned from injury, it felt no need to keep Francine around.

Although its influence on her release is unclear, Francine also reportedly rubbed WWE management the wrong way by making "weird demands" of the front office, including reimbursement for her tanning sessions.
