  • ECW World Champion Big Show was pulled from the main event at the October 15th ECW house show due to recurring back problems. Signs were placed outside the venue offering full ticket refunds. As you can imagine this decision was unpopular with the live audience which resulted in fans shouting expletives throughout the show. Big Show was also pulled from house shows earlier this month due to "nagging" injuries.

  • The Marine starring WWE Champion John Cena averaged $2,750 per theater which was the lowest of the four major movies that opened last weekend.

  • WWE has released the initial buy rate of their September 17th Unforgiven pay-per-view. According to the company’s corporate website, the show did a total of 285,000 initial buys which is up from Unforgiven 2005 which did approximately 225,000 initial buys. This year’s pay-per-view was headlined by Cena vs. Edge in a TLC match and DX vs. The McMahons in “Hell in a Cell.”
