Here are the quick results from the Raw house show at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach on October 6, 2006:

First, a quick history lesson on the site, the Ocean Center:

World Championship Wrestling (WCW) Bash at the Beach events:

July 7, 1996: The site where Hulk Hogan became a "bad guy." Hogan joined forces with Ponce Inlet's Kevin Nash and Scott Hall to form the New World Order (NWO). The group led WCW for awhile in its ratings war with the then-WWF (World Wrestling Federation).

July 13, 1997: Former NBA superstar Dennis Rodman and Hogan were a team, losing to Lex Luger and The Giant when Luger forced Hogan to submit.

July 9, 2000: Hogan and WCW head writer Vince Russo had a verbal spar. The issue was Russo dealing with Hogan's "backstage politics." Whether this incident was a shoot (not staged) is still debated today.

    Pre-WCW

December 6, 1988: Wrestler Jake "The Snake" Roberts was arrested for aggravated assault.

Late 1980s, early 1990s: Superstars of Wrestling (then-WWF) taped several shows here.

    RESULTS

Good-sized crowd, but not close to a sellout.

Cryme Tyme beat Chris Masters and Charlie Haas: Nice-looking finisher. Maybe WWE is countering any flak it may receive for Cryme Tyme's gimmick by having them be the "good guys." Cryme Tyme was surprisingly very "over."

Spirit Squad Kenny beat Snitsky: Snitsky made it a point to acknowledge the house show fans.

Oleg beat Eugene: Oleg, a Russian, impressed me. He's a big guy. About 300 "The Fink" said.

Spirit Squad Johnny and Mitch beat the Highlanders and Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch: Two of the four SS members were ejected from ringside.

Jeff Hardy beats Johnny Nitro: Hardy was "over," as expected.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan beat Shelton Benjamin: Benjamin stalled and missed his ring entrance call. You have to question USA chants when the opponent is American.

Umaga beat Kane: The crowd loves the Alejandro Armando Estrada character. We even saw one guy dressed up as him, so you know he's popular. Umaga had better work on his finisher on Kane if he's going to win Monday's Loser Leaves Raw match. Umaga really botched it this time.

DX (HBK and HHH) beat Edge and Randy Orton: Lita wasn't there. Superkick and Pedigree, you know the drill. Orton was pinned by HHH. DX made sure to slap hands with many fans after their win. They didn't just bolt town.

No shows: Candice Michelle and Maria were advertised, but did not appear.

Most pops: DX, Jeff Hardy, Hacksaw, Cryme Tyme, Eugene.

Most heat:. Edge/Orton, Masters, Spirit Squad, Nitro, Benjamin, Umaga.

Chris Masters & Charlie Haas VS Cryme Tyme

Never seen Cryme Tyme, except for the TV vignettes, but crowd popped for
them pretty good. Nice match (a few unique tag team moves by Cryme Type)
with Cryme Type picking up the win with their finisher. Combo of Samoan
Drop and Cena's Throwback, good looking move.

    Snitsky VS Kenny

OK match with Kenny working on Snitsky's leg for the entire match. Kenny
pins Snitsky with both of his legs on the ropes. Snitsky got a good pop,
    posed for a while.

    Oleg (Russian dude) VS Eugene

Boooooooooring, Oleg needs a lot, and I mean a LOT, of training. At
least he has a good-looking finisher. Wins with his version of the
    Muscle Buster, looked devastating.

    Jeff Hardy VS Nitro

Hardy got a good pop from the crowd. Pretty good match but nothing as
good as their TV bouts. Hardy picks up the win with the Swanton.

Spirit Squad VS Highlanders VS Cade & Murdoch

2nd best match of the night. Daytona loved the Highlanders. Two of the
cheerleaders got sent to the back after some interference. Pretty good
triple threat match, everybody got to hit moves, Spirit Squad got the
    cheap win.

Shelton Benjamin VS Hacksaw Jim Duggan

What a waste of time. Too much of Duggan here, too many USA chants and
staling. Just a boring match and Shelton had to job out to Duggan. Just
a waste of Shelton, waste of my money and time. Just terrible.

DX VS Randy Orton & Edge

Match of the night. DX was waaaaaaaay over. All the columnists can say
that DX is a failure but their merchandise was selling like crazy and
people loved them. DX picks up the win after a pretty good TV main
event. HBK superkick and HHH pedigree got the win. This was the first
time I saw my two favorite wrestlers: HHH & HBK. A lot of posing by both
and requests of 'flashing' by HHH at the end of the match. It was great.

I guess Carlito and Cena didn't make the trip. Too bad because I really
wanted to see Carlito wrestle, didn't really care about Cena not showing
up. Good house show and I will be attending the ECW & Smackdown taping
    in Jacksonville, FL on Tuesday.

    Cheers:
    DX
    Jeff Hardy
    Highlanders
    Snitsky

    Heat:
    Edge (by far)
    Spirit Squad
    Nitro
    Shelton Benjamin
