Match #1: Snitsky vs. Jacqus Plisken
A quick lockup starts the match and Snitsky goes right for the headlock. Plisken (or Pilksin... Grisham and Romero can't seem to keep it straight) tries to fight his way out of it, but Snitsky just hammers him down to the mat. Snitsky then throws him to the ropes and hits him with a shoulder block to take him down. Snitsky runs the ropes himself then, Plisken goes for a hip toss, but Snitsky blocks it and clotheslines him hard.
Plisken rolls to the apron to regroup. Snitsky goes after him, but gets his eyes raked instead. Plisken goes for an armlock, but Snitsky nails a right hand with his free arm to take him down. Snitsky whips him to the corner and follows up with a big clothesline in the corner. A back body drop is next for Plisken and then the big boot to finish the match.
Winner: Snitsky
Match #2: Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Eugene vs. Jared Steele and Russell Simpson
Eugene starts off with who I can only assume is Simpson. After the ol' “USA” chant from the fans, Simpson hammers away on Eugene's arm and goes for a wristlock. Eugene reverses it and wrenches away on Simpson's arm. After a little jockeying for position, Eugene bites his ass. Hacksaw grimaces in the corner, Eugene starts a test of strength with Simpson. Eugene turns that into another wristlock and then does some kind of armdrag to get Simpson down on the mat. Eugene does a JYD pose, as Simpson retreats to his corner.
Steele goes to lockup, but Eugene invites him to try for a single-leg takedown instead. Steele attempts but Eugene reverses it into one of his own and drags him over to his corner where he tags in Hacksaw. Eugene hits that rolling leg whip that we used to see from Los Guerreros years back while Hacksaw follows up with an elbow drop. Hacksaw then smashes Steele's head into the turnbuckle, then across the ring to the other turnbuckle and does the same. After a few mounted punches in the corner, Hacksaw whips him to the ropes and takes him down with a hip toss as the crowd chants “USA” some more.
Steele manages to get Hacksaw over to his corner, tagging Simpson back in, allowing them both to hammer away on the WWE Legend. Simpson goes for a whip to the turnbuckles, but when he charges in with a jumping move of some kind, Hacksaw rolls out of the way, leaving Simpson high and dry in the corner. Eugene gets the hot tag and punches away at both opponents. Eugene tries for a Stunner, but Simpson shoves him away and retreats to the neutral corner.
Simpson then tells Eugene that his shoe is untied (Yes, that's right), kicking him in the head when Eugene bends down to see. Eugene ends up in his opponents' corner getting beat on, as Steele tags back in. Steele hits a back suplex and makes the cover, but only gets two. Steele tags in Simpson again then hits a neckbreaker on Eugene before going back to his corner. Simpson makes the cover three times, only getting two-counts each time.
Time for a rest hold. Eugene fights back eventually with headbutts and then a Rock Bottom. Eugene finally crawls to his corner and makes the tag to Duggan, Steele tagging in too. Hacksaw goes to work on both guys with a flurry of right hands and head smashes. Eugene comes back in to help Duggan get Simpson out of the ring. Then the two of them hit the charging clotheslines on Steele and get the win.
Winners: Eugene and Jim Duggan
Segment #3: This was just a recap of the D-X Gauntlet Match. Nothing more really needs to be added to that, so let's just move on.
Heat Main Event: Val Venis vs. Rob Conway
What would Heat be if it weren't the Val Venis Variety Hour? And wasn't Rob supposed to be turning face a few weeks ago? Oh well.
Collar-and-elbow starts things off, with Val forcing Rob into a corner only to have Rob switch things over and the ref forcing a break up. Val gives a shove and the two men lock up again, Conway getting in a headlock this time. Val shoves him to the ropes, Conway shoulder blocks him to the mat, Conway runs the ropes, Val goes for a hip toss, Conway blocks it, goes for one of his own, and hits it. After that Conway hits a quick dropkick and then celebrates a bit while Val regroups.
They lock up again, this time with Val getting the headlock in on Conway. Conway shoves him to the ropes, Val shoulder blocks him to the mat (Deja vu), Val runs the ropes and hits another shoulder block, runs the ropes some more and hits a third that sends Conway rolling to the outside. Conway eventually gets back in the ring and instead of a lockup, he just starts laying into Val with fists flying. Val whips him across to the other corner in retaliation, but Conway leadfrogs over the shoulder thrust attempt. Val answers with a series of chops though.
Fighting back, Conway whips Val to the ropes and goes for a back body drop, but Val kicks Rob's shoulder and charges in on the stunned Conway. Conway catches him and drapes him neck first across the top rope. Val starts to get back up, but Conway charges in and nails a bit boot to the face while Val is on his knees. A lateral press later, Val is kicking out at two.
Val tries to bring himself back up to his feet while at the ropes, but Conway charges in again, this time with a knee, and sends Val to the outside with a thud. Rob works him over a little on the outside and then throws him back in the ring. Two more two-counts and Rob starts kicking way on Venis. Rob whips Val hard into the turnbuckles and makes another cover for another close count.
Rest hold time. Val fights back, but Rob catches him in a sleeper. Val fights out of it once, but Conway locks it in again. Val then hits a jawbreaker reversal to get out of it. Then the two men start trading punches, but Val takes the upper hand with a series of elbows and several short clotheslines in the corner. Val then hits the Perfect Plex, but Conway kicks out at two.
Val hits the half nelson slam next and then goes to the top rope, but Conway cuts him off and goes for a superplex. Val fights back and shoves him off and then hits the Money Shot and gets the three-count.
Winner: Val Venis
