WWE News: UFC not competing with ECW, Eric Bischoff’s appearance, more

- ECW and UFC will not be going head-to-head on October 10 as originally thought. UFC has announced that their live special featuring Ken Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz will be airing from 8-10 PM on Spike TV from Hollywood, Florida which will completely avoid competition with ECW on Sci Fi. It is not uncommon for a UFC event to go over the projected time frame and that is where we could see five minutes or so of head-to-head between the two shows, but probably nothing beyond that.
- To eliminate any confusion or correct any erroneous reports floating around the internet, Eric Bischoff’s appearance last night on RAW was a one-time thing. That could always change, but as of today, there are no future appearances scheduled for Eric Bischoff with the company.
- Last week’s debut edition of Friday Night SmackDown on the new CW Network did a 2.4 final rating.
