The opening video segment for this PPV is really groovy. It’s an intermingled vignette featuring famous political figures, catastrophic calamities and of course, TNA wrestlers. If they would use this kind of quality production on Impact for the week to week angles, I bet more people would watch that show. I know it’d keep my attention more at least. My main point being, that this opening montage kicked all forms of ass.

And now I, Julius, proudly present to you my good readers, T.N.A, No Surrender!

Eric Young is announced as now residing in an unknown location. He comes to the ring just like last time with a horde of TNA fans following him around the ring. His former partner A1 makes his way to the ring and flexes his man titties on the top turnbuckle before the match.

    Eric Young vs. A1

The crowd, unsurprisingly, is solidly behind Eric Young as this match gets underway. Young goes out to the floor playing cat and mouse a couple of times early on to raise the ire of A1. Young then launches a successful offensive attack until a top rope slip up gets him powerslammed hard into the mat by A1. A1 now dominates Eric Young using his superior strength for a good while and then just tosses him forcefully out of the ring. Later on, Eric Young counters a submission move by A1 and launches his comeback. Eric Young hits a big top rope elbow onto A1 for a near fall. That near fall is followed by a near fall from A1 as he tries to pin Young with a little assistance from the middle rope. The ref sees this however, and breaks it up. The finish sees Eric Young counter and then re-counter a piledriver to pin A1 cleanly.

    Your winner: Eric Young.

    My rating: **

    An okay little opening contest.

A video is played of the pre-show segment that featured fans engaging in tests of strength to see who would make the best lumberjacks for tonight’s main event match. We then see Jim Cornette being interviewed in his office. He promises tonight’s huge announcement will be made by a wrestler that’s not on the card.

Back in the Impact Zone, Petey Williams is making his entrance and slurping some water to prepare for his upcoming match. Jay Lethal’s music plays but he is nowhere to be found. The camera shoots backstage to find Lethal, Sabin, and Dutt goofing around. Jerry Lynn storms in acting pissed off at all of them. Sabin says they have everything ‘taken care of’… Lynn calls them Jackasses and storms away. In the ring Williams eyes his bottle of water suspiciously, which of course means sometime during this match he is going to shit himself.

    Petey Williams vs. Jay Lethal

We get a dueling chant as this match starts with quick back and forth action. It’s all pretty even until Lethal gets pulled down hard into the guard rail outside. Petey Williams takes the match back inside and maintains steady control over Lethal. He appears to lose control in another fashion however, as he grabs his stomach and winces in pain. Williams does a reverse roll up and Jay Lethal sells it with disgust fanning his nose. Yep, he’s pooped his pants. Sonjay Dutt appears to further confirm this by waiving a laxative box at the screen. Jay Lethal then hits an atomic drop and mocks Williams agony. Petey regains control and then hits his patented cradle DDT for a two count. Williams goes for the Canadian Destroyer but his current condition will not allow it. Jay Lethal quickly takes advantage and rolls up Petey for the three count. What a turd….

    Your winner: Jay Lethal

    My rating: *1/2

Could have been a great match, but the laxative angle just totally killed it for me.

Rhino is cutting loose backstage with a promo on Christian Cage. He says that Christian Cage is a heartless bastard, and he is a pissed off War Machine. He appears to be on the brink of tears at times but manages to regain control of his senses in time to tell Christian that he is store for a Gore! (x3)

Abyss, Brother Runt and Raven all make their respective entrances. Runt looks like Deniro from Taxi Driver, Raven looks like one of the zombies from Dawn Of The Dead. Abyss, looks like a seven foot tall version of Mankind, as always.

No DQ: Abyss vs. Raven. vs. Brother Runt

Raven and Abyss form a short alliance at the start of the match but then quickly begin brawling with each other. Brother Runt uses this to his advantage by going outside to retrieve some weapons which he uses to take the fight to his two larger adversaries. Abyss goes crashing headfirst into a garbage can, and then Raven goes tumbling to the outside. Brother Runt is on fire! (not literally) Abyss breaks this up by tossing Runt with a press slam out of the ring and onto Raven on the entrance ramp. In the ring we’ve got Kendo sticks, crutches, a ring bell, garbage cans and various other plunderriffic items as Dusty Rhodes would say. Brother Runt now takes turns cracking both of his opponents with all of these weapons one at a time. Raven, however not be outdone dawns a gladiator helmet and hits a diving headbutt on Brother Runt.

They brawl to the entrance tunnel where Brother Runt gets a drop toe hold that sends him through the tunnel and apparently all the way to the basement as he disappears completely. Flash forward a few seconds and Raven is laid out on a table on the ramp and Abyss has a ladder set up nearby. Abyss attempts to climb the ladder but Raven fights him off and then climbs the ladder himself. Brother Runt now comes from the top of the stage and goes for a double stomp onto Abyss on the table. However, he merely slides over Abyss and knocks over the table instead of breaking it. Raven now drags Runt over to another part of the arena where he has two tables stacked up. He pulls Runt by the throat with a steel chain onto a scaffold. They brawl briefly and then Runt gets punched off the scaffold and crashes through the tables. Raven goes for a pinfall, but apparently this isn’t falls count anywhere so the ref breaks it up. Raven drags Runt back to the ring and goes for another pinfall. Abyss now returns from out of nowhere and Black Hole slams Raven for the deciding pinfall.

    Your winner: Abyss

    My rating: **

The blown spot by Runt hurts it overall rating, but all in all, it's your average TNA Hardcore match. Nothing more, nothing less, aside from the Helmet spot, which was fun.

Jeff Jarrett is backstage talking about what the huge announcement is. He alludes to the fact that Sting is not on the card and that he has made a career out of dropping from the rafters to steal people’s thunder. He seems rather paranoid for some reason.

Triple Chance Tag Team Battle Royal
America's Most Wanted, The James Gang, The Naturals, The Paparazzi, The Diamonds in the Rough, Matt Bentley/Kazarian, Ron Killings/Lance Hoyt and Shark Boy/Norman Smiley

Well, this one is kind of hard to call as it’s basically wall to wall action everywhere you look, however that being said, I’ll do my best. Chris Harris looks to be pulling the old trick of staying on the outside until the battle royal is over with. Normal Smiley is the first person eliminated; he was thrown out by Elix Skipper. Skipper is then booted over the top rope by Lance Hoyt. Lance Hoyt is then taken out by Matt and Kazarian. Ron Killings takes advantage of a crotched Johnny Devine and dropkicks him out of the match. Sharkboy is backdropped out of the ring by Alex Shelley.

James Storm eliminates Chase Stevens by sending him off the rope and into the sixth row! David Young is eliminated by Matt Bentley, who is then eliminated soon after himself. Killings and BG James go over the top together taking each other out. Johnny Devine pulls down the top rope while Kazarian is running, eliminating him. The final four is AMW, Kip James and Andy Douglas. James Storm is eliminated leaving Chris Harris to fend for himself. Kip James sends Harris out ,eliminating him. Harris however returns to the ring and throws out Kip. The referees didn’t notice Harris being eliminated due to a scuffle on the stage between the Paparazzi and Matt/Kazarian.

Your winners: Chris Harris (AMW) and Andy Douglas (the Naturals)

    AMW vs. The Naturals

Chase Stevens is still feeling the effects of the horrific dive he took during the battle royal. AMW takes solid control of this match-up and dominates Douglas throughout. Andy Douglas kicks out of one near fall but is then double teamed and pinned again. He somehow manages to kick out, again. AMW goes for a Death Sentence but BG James comes back and breaks it up. James Storm is then school boyed and pinned giving the Naturals a huge win.

    Your winners: The Naturals

    My rating: **1/2

An okay if somewhat confusing battle royal, with an extra bump due to the insane dive by Stevens.

A video montage of the recent Jackass Two shenanigans is played hyping up tonight’s X Division title match.

X Division Championship: Senshi vs. Chris Sabin.

Senshi grounds Sabin early and the two engage in some submission wrestling with both men exchanging holds. They each make attempts at big kicks, but both fail to hit their mark. Both men then hit a series of leap frogs and flying leg scissors. Sabin hits a series of near fall roll ups on Senshi. After this, Sabin nails a perfect a flipping senton over the top rope. Senshi now turns things back to his side with a rolling back kick. Senshi continues his martial arts based assault on Sabin and then goes for a few unsuccessful pin attempts of his own.

After this, Senshi unwinds with a ‘hook kick’ to the back of Sabin’s head. Senshi applies a body scissors and squeezes the air out of Sabin. Later on in the match Chris Sabin goes for a suicide dive but Senshi counters with a stiff kick to his head stopping him dead in his tracks. Senshi and Sabin exchange lefts and rights with Senshi coming out on top in the end with an enzeguri. Senshi then hits ‘The Warriors Way’ while Sabin is laid out on the middle rope.

The two men continue to battle it out with neither of them gaining a clear advantage. Chris Sabin’s chest has been turned to hamburger by the hard chops of Senshi. Sabin ducks down and sends a running Senshi face first into the corner. He then plants a few well placed kicks of his own. Sabin attempts to corner Senshi for his elevated dropkick but Senshi counters that with a stiff kick. Sabin now comes out of nowhere with an awesome missile dropkick. Sabin gets a two count for his efforts on that account. Senshi regains control and then blisters Sabin’s chest with a series of brutal kicks for another two count. Sabin hits an enzeguri and goes to the top rope, however Senshi hits a running cartwheel kick onto Sabin stopping him dead, again.

They brawl momentarily on the top turn buckle with Sabin knocking Senshi into a tree of woe position. Sabin now nails the delayed corner dropkick for and pins Senshi for a long two count! Senshi hits a double stomp and then goes for the Warriors Way. From the back Jay Lethal appears with a blow up doll. He puts the doll where Sabin was and Senshi comes down upon it almost planting it with the double stomp. Sabin reappears and plants Senshi, putting the doll on top of him. Sabin misses a top rope move on the doll and Senshi. Senshi then throws the doll at Sabin and kicks it in the face. The crowd chants ‘this is stupid’ while Senshi gets a much deserved victory.

    Your winner: Senshi

    My rating: ***

It was a **** star match until that RETARDED finish.

In the back Christian is delivering a message to Rhino, telling him what he is going to do to him tonight. He brings up their friendship and how everything has changed. A video vignette of the feud then plays.

    Christian Cage vs. Rhino

Mike Tenay mentions that Rhino is competing against doctor’s orders, with a severe concussion. The bell rings nevertheless and the match has officially begun. Christian Cage looks hesitant to even get in the ring with the enraged War Machine. They lock up in a test of strength which Rhino easily wins. Rhino now plants Christian in the corner and gets up in his face. Christian goes for an Unprettier but Rhino quickly powers out. Rhino likewise goes for his finisher the Gore, but Christian rolls out of the way before he can make contact. Rhino and Christian battle on the apron resulting in a huge back body drop to the floor on Christian.

They now brawl into the fans and into the cheap seats. Rhino grabs a sign from a fan and chokes Christian with it. Rhino tries to throw Christian off of the balcony but Christian hits an elbow to the back of Rhino’s head to fend him off. Rhino then hurls Christian into the wall and then charges at him. Christian moves and Rhino goes head first into the wall. Undeterred Rhino continues his onslaught by powerslamming Christian over the barricade and back towards the ring. Christian rolls away however, and lures Rhino onto the stage where he hits a big DDT that busts him open.

Rhino now crawls back into the ring where Christian viciously attacks his concussed skull. The bloodied Rhino can barely move. Cage now slams Rhino’s head into the mat and goes to the top rope for a big dropkick. Christian covers Rhino after the dropkick but Rhino manages to kickout. Christian comes off the top again with a frog splash. Cover and another two. The crowd gets behind Rhino as Christian chops away at him. Christian goes charging at Rhino in the corner but misses due to Rhino simply falling down.

Rhino now makes a big comeback hitting several shoulder tackles and a belly to belly. Christian goes for another Unprettier but Rhino avoids it and then nails Christian with a huge spine buster. Christian avoids another Gore but is still powerslammed for a two count. Christian finally nails the Unprettier. He covers Rhino for a two count. Rhino accidentally knocks over the referee and then gets taken down by Christian.

Christian now grabs two chairs from ringside and goes for a concerto which Rhino ducks out of! Rhino then hits a big Gore but is unable to pin Christian due to the referee still being cold cocked. Rhino now sets up Christian for a little taste of his own medicine. He’s about to bring down a huge concerto on Christian when the ref yanks the chair out of his hand. This allows Christian to hit an Unprettier on top of the chair placed on the mat, to get him the pin and the win. Medical officials are sent down to check on Rhino.

    Your winner: Christian Cage.

    My rating: ***

It did what it was supposed to do storyline wise. No complaints.

In the back Eric Young is looking for Sting but he accidentally runs into LAX who tells him to bounce. Konnan tells AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels that they better hope something weird happens tonight to spare them from the beating they are about to receive.

We go to a pre-taped interview with the former champs. Fallen Angel says Konnan is no Latino role model, and mentions several former legendary Latino wrestlers including Eddie Guerrero. He says if Eddie were alive today and in Konnan’s way that Konnan would probably cut his throat. He says it’s not about him being Latino, but about him just being an asshole.

Tag Team Ultimate X Match: AJ Styles and Fallen Angel vs. Homicide and Hernandez.

This one gets away fast and furious with everyone in the ring brawling freely. Hernandez hits a huge suplex on AJ Styles. Styles and Daniels come back strong with several tag moves onto LAX. Styles now goes up to the wires but is brought down hard by Hernandez. Homicide hits an insane flipping suicide dive onto Daniels who was on top of the guard rail. AJ Styles hits a plancha of his own, and Hernandez even attempts one but is blocked by Daniels. LAX now double team AJ Styles, with Hernandez hitting a HUGE powerbomb.

Homicide brings a ladder into the ring and tries to grab the belt. Styles and Daniels however stop this from happening and then uses the ladder against LAX. Later on, Hernandez grabs Christopher Daniels from the top rope and does a backwards throat toss which sends Daniels all the way out of the ring. LAX now seems to have things well in hand. Hernandez hits the cables and goes for the belt. AJ sees this and springboards off the ropes to knock him down. Homicide now goes for the cables himself and gets dangerously near the belt.

AJ however sneaks up behind him and brings him crashing down to the floor. Daniels goes for the belt now but is brought down onto Hernandez. Homicide then comes from the top to hit a big bulldog on Daniels off the huge shoulders of his partner. Hernandez goes back up to the cables but gets stuck. AJ Styles then comes running and yanks him down by the ankles onto his own partner! AJ Styles now takes everybody out with some fast paced martial arts kicks. Styles goes for a suplex on Hernandez but can’t do it alone. Daniels joins him and they both manage to get him over.

Homicide comes crashing down from the tope rope but gets met with a ‘High/Low’ combination from Styles and Daniels. Konnan sets up a table on the outside. Styles hits a big moonsault followed by a BME from Daniels, followed by a twisting splash from Styles. AJ Styles then hits a Styles Clash off the apron through the table! Daniels and Hernandez are fighting on the top turnbuckle. Daniels knocks Hernandez down but Konnan comes in swinging a Kendo stick. Daniels however leaps onto the steel trussell and leap frogs all the way to the center of the X and retrieves the titles! Awesome match.

Your winners: AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels.

    My rating: ****

Match of the night by far. These men took insane risks. Thankfully they're all okay and put on one of the best TNA matches of the year.

Fan Lumberjack Match: Jeff Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe

Eric Young stops Jeff Jarrett backstage. Jarrett orders Young to check the rafters for Sting. Young reluctantly agrees. Jeff Jarrett finally comes to the ring wearing a ridiculous amount of shirts. Joe and Jarrett stalk each other as the match begins. We get a good shot of all the “fans” that are located around the ring with those leather straps. Joe takes down Jarrett with a big jumping kick. Jarrett is almost sent to the outside but he catches himself and comes back into the ring. Joe rips off one of Jarrett’s many shirts and then chops him hard. Jarrett is then sent outside and laid into with numerous belt shots. Joe is sent outside seconds later but is left untouched. Jarrett manages to wrestle a belt away from one of the fans and uses it to whip and choke Samoa Joe in the corner. Jarrett continues to dominate this match up by using the strap to stay one step ahead of Joe at all times.

Jarrett hits a crossbody off the top for a two count, and then another regular one for another two count. He goes for it one more time but Joe moves out of the way sending Jarrett crashing to the mat. Joe regains control and rips off all of Jarrett’s extra clothing. Jarrett is sent shirtless outside of the ring and is whipped continuously around the ring. Joe now has the strap and he tans Jarrett’s hide. Joe hits a big powerslam for a quick two count. He is then rolled up by Jarrett for another near fall. Jarrett starts choking him out with his t-shirts. Joe fights back and ties Jarrett to the top rope with the strap. One by one all of the fans come in and whip Jarrett as the referees try to keep them at bay. Jarrett grabs his guitar and tries to smash Joe with it. Joe however, locks in a rear naked choke but Jarrett manages to reach the ropes. Joe now gets Stroked into the guitar for a close near fall. A slap fest ensues. Joe gets perched on the top rope and is about to be set up for another Stroke. Joe escapes with a big kick to Jarrett’s head. He then hits a Muscle Buster, and pins Jarrett cleanly for the one, two, and three!

    Your winner: Samoa Joe

    My rating: **1/2

The gimmick really didn't do much for me. However, it was a fun little match, and Joe was put over, so no worries.

Jim Cornette now comes down to the ring and announces TNA has moved into prime time on Thursday nights. A video package for the huge announcement now plays hyping the TNA debut of KURT ANGLE. Kurt Angle says, it’s real, it’s damn real. The fans chant Angle’s name as the show fades to black.
