WWE Heat Recap (09.23.06): Trish Edition
Submitted by Boss Foxx on Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 3:27 PM EST
It's all things Trish this week, since there was another supershow taping this week, and that means no new episode of the Val Venis Variety Hour.
Segment #1: Trish Stratus vs Molly Holly @ Unforgiven 2002
The footage joins mid-match after an introduction from Todd “Fruity Pebbles” Grisham and Jonathan “Anti-Talent” Coachman. Molly is working over Trish inside and outside the ring, and really makes you wonder why WWE would ever release a wrestling talent like her... Oh right, she's not Playboy material. Trish holds her own and finally gets the win after a bulldog reversal to show that the girl was really improving since her 2000 debut.
Segment #2: Divas Do New York: Trish Stratus Section
After showing how she won her first Women's Title at Survivor Series 2001, Grish and Coach intro the lingerie footage. As for the footage, it's Trish... in lingerie. If you need more of a sell than that then I don't want to know you.
Segment #3: Trish Stratus vs. Stacy Keibler in a Bra and Panties Paddle Pole Match
After a short segment of her WWE Magazine photo shoot, we're off to the match from October 2002. It was a short match, since it was with Stacy afterall, so we got to see the whole thing. Lots of kicking, slapping, rolling around, and stripping of clothes. All good things with a women's match. Trish won the match, but Stacy got the paddle. The real winners were the fans that night.
Segment #4: Trish Stratus vs. Mickie James
Before seeing Trish's last match on Raw, we're treated to a clip of Taboo Tuesday's Diva Battle Royale where Mickie helped Trish win by eliminating Victoria.
The match from Raw should be still fresh in everyone's memory. Trish and Micki never disappointed in the ring and Monday night was no exception. Trish got the win despite some interference from Lita. Micki and Trish then hugged before Trish gave a quick farewell to the fans.
That's it for Heat this time around. Lord knows if we'll get any matches next week. Maybe. It depends on if there's another supershow booked on Monday night I suppose.
