WWE News: JBL update; not leaving WWE after all?

It was reported earlier today here at LordsofPain.net that JBL handed in his notice and would be leaving WWE following the October 6th edition of SmackDown. It appears as if that report was partially inaccurate, as it was originally reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that JBL would be leaving the company following next month’s No Mercy PPV, not the October 6th edition of SmackDown, as earlier reported. He did, however, submit his notice to leave the company.

To update you on the situation, WWE officials have already been trying to work something out with JBL to keep him with the company. According to Dave Meltzer, something may have already been worked out and he could in fact be staying with WWE as a color commentator for SmackDown.
