G'day everyone! My name is Rudi and I'm here to give you a run down of Smackdown. Thanks to LOP for giving me this opportunity and I hope to do them proud for a great website with great news and with such wrestling addicts such as DaveyBoy, Bossman and Tito to name a few. Please excuse any errors there may be in the first week and now..........Onto the show!

Tonight's show begins with Finlay walking out from the back, accompanied by Caspar the Ghost is it? No, it's his leprechaun, The lil' Bastard who is under a sheet of all things. Why? Who knows? In the ring Finlay with friend in tow cuts a promo which is something along the line of destroying Batista last week with his Shillelagh. We get the footage of last week's ending and he sure did a number on Batista. Finlay gets a lot of heat in his promos, they're nothing in the way of spectacular visually but he has the crowd jeering for him in no time. Of course beating the number one fan favourite to a pulp also helps! Great work though as he comments about Batista's manhood or lack of it after he had finished with him. During all of this promo so far he's hanging onto his little green friend, still under that sheet! Half way through his speech we get interrupted by Bobby Lashley coming to the ring microphone in hand with a lot of crowd support behind him. His first comment "You say your name is Finlay, and you love to fight. I say your name is Finlay and you're a bastard" gains cheers from the crowd but in my humble opinion shows that Lashley still needs a lot of work on a mic to get a point across. He lacks the aggression in his voice that goes with the size of the man that he is. That is hopefully only a matter of time though for the young wrestler. Lashley comments on Finlay's lack of bravery in beating Batista with a stick and proceeds to tell Finlay that his Irish luck has just run out! As he faces up to Finlay, leprechaun in tow, we're interrupted by the music of Teddy Long.... What next?

Long, in his capacity as General Manager, comments as to because Finlay took Batista out of the Championship challenge, a new contender needs to be found. We have a match called for later tonight between Finlay & Lashley as a no 1 contender match with the winner going onto No Mercy to face King Booker for the Championship.

Lashley likes the sound of this match up and tells Finlay that if his little friend gets in the way he'll beat him down too. Lashley then pushes Finlay down crushing the lil' bastard in the process who then attacks the nearest thing in sight, Finlay, well not quite in sight as he's still under his sheet! Lashley leaves the ring leaving Finlay to kick his little friend in the head. Finlay is peeved! Finlay then throws the lil' bastard out of the ring and kicks him under the apron where he belongs!

    Commercial break.....

Back from the break we start backstage with Finlay approached by Regal who asks Finlay what he is going to do if he wins the match tonight and has to face 'our king' King Booker at No Mercy. Finlay, nods his head and wanders off leaving Regal looking concerned. I wonder if they're looking at Finlay winning tonight?

    Back to the ring and

Match 1: Cruiserweight Champion Gregory Helms vs Matt Hardy in a non title match
Gregory Helms is first to the ring and whilst the music is playing for Matt Hardy to appear up on stage and Helms is looking for him, Hardy comes in from the crowd and blindsides Helms with a forearm to the back of the neck. Hardy goes on the offensive whacking Helms against the turnbuckle and a forearm jolt followed by another turnbuckle and another forearm jolt. Hardy is way over the top with this crowd. Off the ropes and a nice clothesline on Helms and a sideslam and Helms is out of there, he's off on a wander out of the ring and wants to head home but is followed by Hardy who proceeds to hit him up against the crowd railings. Helms attempts to kick Hardy who grabs onto his leg which them gives Helms the chance to kick Hardy in the chest against the steel steps putting Helms back in control who proceeds to toss Hardy back into the ring and being a beatdown of Hardy up against the ropes and then on the canvas with a nice elbow to the face of Hardy and Hardy is bleeding from the mouth. A two and a 1/2 countdown is followed by a choke against the ropes. Helms plays to the crowd which allows Hardy to comeback with some nice hits to the head and a kick to the midsection. Helms returns in kind and proceeds to give Hardy a backbreaker and a two count to regain control again. Helms follows up with a half Boston crab against Hardy who eventually makes it to the ropes. We have an elbow to the throat off the ropes and a nice kick to the midsection whilst Hardy is flat on his back and Helms is enjoying this. We get Helms working on the mouth of Hardy trying to stretch it across his face. An obligatory rest hold on Hardy allows the crowd to start up Lets go Hardy chants and that brings Hardy to his feet to bring some offence back into this match only to have Helms take a fist full of hair and crash Hardy back down onto the canvas. Another attempted count, another resthold follows. Hardy manages to get back onto his feet and reverses a suplex of Helms and both wrestlers are feeling the pain. In a toe to toe face up Hardy gains the upper hand with a couple of stiff rights and then some vicious clotheslines and a squash against the ropes followed by a bulldog. An attempted cover and then we get Hardy off the second rope with a leg drop and another two count and Hardy is in control. Hardy attempts to get Helms with the Twist of Fate but Helms counters and the referee is knocked to the side allowing Helms to connect on Hardy with a huge kick below the belt allowing Helms to gain the three count. Helms defeated Hardy (Author's note - 1 *. I'm not sure we got the best out of these two tonight wrestling wise though I think it's working toward a build up for No Mercy and a possible title change perhaps?) We're left watching Hardy writhing around in the ring in agony.

Backstage we see Rey Mysterio walking along with his son Dominick who he has brought along to watch his match with Kennedy.

    Commercial break.......

Back from the break to a promo from Jimmy Wang Yang and that hilarious southern accent of his having a go at Orientals fresh off the boat who have a problem with their English in that they pronounce l's as r's. Jimmy isn’t one of those Asians, he's from Georgia and 100% redneck. (Author's note - I have just come back actually from a trip to Southwest Georgia and Savannah and I have to say I don't like where these promos are going. I met some wonderful people down South and am not into the stereotyping of this character at all. Go the Braves!)

Match 2: The Miz vs Scotty 2 Hotty
Scotty is pretty much over with this crowd or is it because they all hate The Miz? We start with a lock up in the middle of the ring and a head lock by Scotty broken by The Miz and a bit of bouncing off the ropes followed by a nice hip toss to Scotty, a kick away by Scotty and both wrestlers bounce to their feet to face off. The Miz is on happy pills bouncing around making Scotty give him a high 5 much to the look of disgust on the face of Scotty. JBL comments about how much he just hates The Miz. Another lock up and some amateur wrestling moves followed by an arm drag from Scotty onto The Miz and Scotty doing a bit of dancing act to the cheers of the crowd. A third lock up and an arm hold by The Miz reversed by Scotty and a bounce off the ropes with Scotty giving The Miz an arm drag to which he lands on his feet and gives Scotty one in return. Rather than follow up with anything The Miz goes into the corner up on the ropes taunting the crowd with a hoorah than only gets jeers in returns. Scotty is looking into the crowd as the jeers continue which allows The Miz to come up from behind knocking him down into the corner and proceeds to follow up with a number kicks to the chest. We get a neckbreaker by The Miz onto Scotty and a couple of choke holds and The Miz is not happy. Miz follows up with a push off the ropes, a star slam and a two count and then a rest hold. They seem to be in vogue tonight. Scotty attempts to break out only to be beaten down by Miz again. Scotty lifts himself up into the corner and meets a running Miz charge with a kick to the face and begins to launch into a flurry of punches, some right handed knock down punches and a flying body tackle off the ropes. Scotty is in control and the crowd are loving it! We get an attempted bulldog avoided by the Miz only to have another one connect.. Can we see what is coming now? Scotty wants to give the Miz the Worm but by the time he gets anywhere near him the Miz has rolled under the bottom rope. (I could make a coffee the time it takes Scotty to get the worm happening). Scotty attempts to drag the Miz back into the ring over the top rope only to have the Miz hang Scotty from the top rope as he bounces to the floor. Miz back into the ring gives Scotty a kick to the midsection and follows it up with a patented neckbreaker which is known as the "Mizard of Oz" for the three count. Miz defeated Scotty 2 Hotty (Author's note 1 1/2* - Excuse my ratings for this first show as I'll tweak them a little in the coming weeks but this wasn't too bad a match actually and was meant to push The Miz more than anything else. He seems fairly agile in the ring and he has that abrasive character which may actually work.)

    Commercial break.........

Back from commercial we see London and Kendrick to the ring with Ashley in tow followed by the Pit Bulls followed by Stevens and James with Michelle McCool and we have a triple threat match up.

Match 3: Brian Kendrick (with Paul London & Ashley) vs Kid Kash (with Jamie Noble) vs Idol Stevens (with Kasey James & Michelle McCool)
Kendrick is jumped from behind by Kash and beaten to the canvas only to be pushed aside by Stevens who continues the beat down. Kash pushes Stevens and the two of them begin beating up on each other allowing Kendrick to catch his breath. Kendrick bounces off the ropes misses a double clothesline attempt and comes back with a double dropkick knocking both down on the canvas and follows with another dropkick onto Kash as he works on Stevens. A hurricana? on Stevens is followed up with an armdrag on Kash and then one on Stevens and a dropkick on Kash again and an attempted cover only to have it broken up with a double fist to the back of the neck by Stevens who then slams Kendrick into the corner and attempts a cover only to have it broken by the foot on the bottom rope. Stevens attempts to slam Kendrick into another turnbuckle and follow him in only to have Kendrick bounce from the ropes over his head having Stevens run into the corner. Before Kendrick can take advantage he is taken out by Kash who follows up with a side slam and attempted pin only to be dragged off by Stevens who then attempts the cover himself. Kash kicks Stevens off and the two begin another pushing contest with Kash pushing Stevens over Kendrick who attempts the roll up pin only to be kicked in the face by Kash who follows up with a hit to Kendrick and a kick to the ribs of Stevens. Kash takes Kendrick into the corner and beats down on him pausing only to deliver a drop kick to Stevens keeping him out of the way. Kash attempts to whip Kendrick into the opposite turnbuckle only to have Kendrick push off the corner with a forearm to the head of Kash, then to Stevens, then to Kash and then a dropkick to Stevens and this match is moving at a very lively clip. Off the ropes Kendrick is met by a kick to the ribs from Stevens and a neckbreaker only to have Stevens kicked in the face by Kash. Kash is now in control and a modified suplex has Kendrick on the canvas and Kash going for the top rope to launch himself only to pulled off and slammed to the canvas himself by Stevens. Stevens attempts to push Kendrick into the ropes only to have him duck under and have Stevens slam neck first into the top rope putting him out of the action and out of the ring! Kash attempts to run into Kendrick in the corner only for him to duck out of the way and be met by Kendrick bouncing feet first off the ropes rolling him over for the pin! Kendrick defeated Kash and Stevens (Author's note. - 2 1/2 ** I haven't seen enough of the tag teams to really get on top of all the moves yet I found this match nicely paced and actually quite exciting and I have hopes the tag team division gets built up a lot more as it's a good avenue for wrestlers who may not be as pushed in the singles division a chance to shine. This match puts the Pit Bulls up against Stevens and James to probably work up an opponent to the champions on No Mercy) Post match sees these four arguing and pushing each other until separated by a referee.

Backstage we see King Booker with Sharmell and Regal discussing Finlay who appears on the scene. Booker thanks Finlay for getting rid of Batista and says that he and Finlay must discuss the ramifications of the match between Finlay and Lashley. Finlay tells King Booker he'll go out to do what he does best and that is fight. He then wanders off leaving them with concerned looks upon their faces. (Author's note - 2 things, firstly love or hate the gimmick there in none better than King Booker and Sharmell to pull off this role of King of the Ring. The facial expressions from Sharmell are to die for and Booker's aristocratic accent is done with such aplomb. Secondly, I wonder if we are going to see a face turn in the near future for Finlay. I may be way off the mark but his wrestling ability is very sound and the crowd seem to react to him well and the addition of the lil' bastard has added an almost fun aspect to Finlay's character. Maybe not a full face turn but perhaps he'll just stand on his own and take on allcomers?)
Backstage still we see Mysterio settling Dominick down in front of a monitor so he can watch his dad fight against Kennedy. Why bring him all the way to the arena just to have him sit out back?

    Commercial break........

Back from commercial we see Rey coming to the ring for his match. He is way over the crowd as he goes to the ring shaking hands, posing with kids. In the ring he goes to each corner geeing the crowd up to be on his side for his match up. Backstage again we see Dominick watching the monitor where he's approached by Chavo and Vickie come up to talk to Dominick with it being shown on the big screen where Rey sees it all. They wander off leaving Rey with a real worried look on his face. We then see the United States Champion Mr. Kennedy come to the ring ready for action and no introduction by Mr. Kennedy at all.

Match 4: Mr. Kennedy vs Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship
Straight into the action with Kennedy mouthing off at Mysterio who seems a little unfocused. They lock up and Kennedy pushes Rey into the corner where they break clean. Kennedy takes down Mysterio nicely and into a rest hold, working on the head of Mysterio. Mysterio breaks out and begins to work on the arm of Kennedy. All the while the commentators are commenting on how Chavo and Vickie are inside the head of Rey. Kennedy pushes Mysterio into the corner again and follows up with a knee to the ribs of Mysterio and another followed by a head into the turnbuckle and he is in control. Another head to the turnbuckle follows and then as he attempts a third Mysterio blocks it with a leg up on the rope and retaliates with an elbow to the midsection of Kennedy and some blows with a head to the turnbuckle. We then get a toss off the ropes with a flying headscissors by Mysterio followed by another bounce off the ropes with a missed clothesline by Kennedy to be met by a springboard cross body press with an attempted cover but Kennedy rolls clear, picks Mysterio up and slams him back first across his knee. A cover for two by Kennedy then two knees to the back and a rest hold by Kennedy stretching the neck of Mysterio. Mysterio fights back with two kicks to the skull of Kennedy breaking the hold and follows up with a kick to the hamstring. Mysterio tries to Irish whip Kennedy into the corner only to have it reversed and slam into the ringpost bouncing off into a cover of two by Kennedy. Kennedy whips Mysterio face first into the corner and follows up with a suplex and another two count. Kennedy wants the win bad and straddles Mysterio pounding into his skull with left and rights. A knee to the midsection of Mysterio followed by another one and a forearm to the jaw followed by another whip to the corner and follows Mysterio in allowing Rey to kick Kennedy in the face. Kennedy comes out of it however with a spinning spine buster and another two count. A couple of elbows to the chest and another rest hold by Kennedy stretching the back of Mysterio. Mysterio breaks out and receives an Irish whip for his troubles but avoids the charge of Kennedy who slams into the corner face first. Mysterio off the ropes and pulls off a facebuster on Kennedy. Mysterio off the ropes again trips up Kennedy and delivers a kick to the back of the head followed by a two count. Kennedy catapults Mysterio face first into the steel post in the corner and chokes Mysterio against the ropes. Mysterio fights back with some elbows and as Kennedy charges back Mysterio gets him with a toe hold forcing Kennedy down on the ropes and follows up with a successful 619 however Kennedy rolls across the ring and on the apron on the other side. Mysterio with the advantage goes over the top over with a spinning twist right into Kennedy knocking him to the floor.

    Commercial break...........

Back from commercial we see Kennedy in the corner with Mysterio on the outside middle ropes giving 10 hits to Kennedy. As Kennedy staggers Mysterio tries to climb onto the top rope Kennedy comes back with a blow to the stomach leaving Mysterio stranded on the top rope before falling in legs caught up on the second rope. Kennedy comes in with kicks to the gut and then taking his tights rams him back first into the ringpost in the opposite corner. Mysterio is in huge pain now. Kennedy leaves the ring and tries to wrap Mysterio around the post, back first and both are on the floor. Kennedy slams Mysterio back first into the apron and tosses him back into the ring. Another two count and Kennedy is now playing to the crowd as he follows up with a stomp to the chest and attempts a jackknife cover for another two count. More kicks to the back and head of Mysterio and surely this has to end soon! How much more can Rey take? A knee to the chest and an abdominal stretch with leverage by Kennedy on the ropes which the ref suspects but misses. Kennedy goes for the same trick again but is caught this time and as the referee is counting for the break Rey reaches up and proceeds to give Kennedy a flying headscissors and both wrestlers are tired. Kennedy with a clothesline and a hit to the head and an attempted Irish whip which gets him a high elbow for his effort and as Mysterio attempts the offensive gets a Samoan drop for his efforts. Kennedy climbs to the top rope and attempts a leap onto Mysterio only to have him roll out the way as Kennedy crashes into the canvas. Both wrestlers toe to toe trading blows until Mysterio gets the advantage and swinging off the ropes connects with a drop kick into the knees of Kennedy. Mysterio connects with the sitting senton goes for the cover and gets a two count. Both wrestlers trade blows and just as Mysterio seems to be gaining the momentum and about to come off the ropes out on the stage wanders Chavo and Vickie with Dominick in-between. Rey is totally distracted and Kennedy sneaks up from behind rolling up Mysterio with a handful of tights for the three count! Kennedy defeated Mysterio (Author's note - 3 * and would have been more if not for the apparent distractions with Mysterio and his son. Kennedy and Mysterio work well together I think and they could put on some very nice matches in the future. Kennedy isn't so big that he overwhelms Mysterio by size and I could see a good feud between these two).

Dominick is allowed to run down to the ring to hug his father as Vickie and Chavo watch up on stage. Vickie has quite a mean look as they both stare down Rey.

    Commercial break........

Back from commercial to a promo by MVP flanked by two women as usual and mouthing off about how Teddy Long is the one that is putting up the roadblocks to his deal being signed and how is agent is going out of his way to get the deal signed and that the Smackdown viewers are the ones missing out! (Author's note - I hope this guy is worth the weeks of promos he's been having)

Back on stage we see Vito coming out for his match wearing a nice black and grey number and then we have introduced to the ring, Sir William Regal.

Match 5: Vito vs William Regal
The match begins with an attempted lock up but with Regal connecting with a kick to the stomach of Vito and some heavy blows knocking Vito to the canvas. A headlock follows which Vito reverses and Regal pushes him off the ropes only to be knocked to the canvas followed by Vito for an attempted cover. An arm drag by Vito has Regal pinned for a couple of two counts and leaves the dress riding up revealing Vito's underwear which in Australia here is blurred out for some reason. Regal breaks out of the hold and whips Vito off the ropes going to canvas and as Vito leaps him he slides to the canvas and flashes Regal who makes a hasty retreat out the ring. Vito follows and Regal manages to grab him and slam him face first into the steel ring post and follows up with a kick to the head followed by an uppercut and as he gets him back into the ring a number of knees to the chest, a forearm jolt and a dropkick as he whips Vito off the ropes. A number of two counts as Vito has his leg on the ropes and sadly happens to be flashing the commentary crew at the same time. Regal beats Vito up in the corner, slams his head against the turnbuckle and continues his assault on Vito and attempts another cover for the count of two. Regal slams Vito's neck into the ropes and continues to attempt to choke him with a knee to the throat. Regal continues to hit Vito holding onto his neck strap and Vito is flat on the mat after such a beating. Regal drags him back up into a headlock to which Vito fights out of by whipping Regal into the ropes and countering with a back body drop. Vito attempts his submission move only to have Regal hit him in the stomach and follow it up with a knee to the chest and an elbow to the head and follows up with a number of vicious elbows to the head in the corner! A whip by Regal into the opposite corner is met with a kick to the chest and a toe to toe fight which Vito gains the advantage in. Vito knock Regal down to the floor and as he attempts to tackle Regal getting back into the ring is met by a shoulder to the gut. As Regal attempts to slide over the top of Vito, Vito manages to straddle Regal to the canvas, dress over his face and get the three count. Vito defeated Regal (Author's note - 1* This match just didn't seem to flow too much to me. Regal is always a great brawler but I'm yet to see Vito in a match where he gets to display his wrestling abilities more than the antics that he has in this gimmick.)

Regal is left in the ring with an absolute look of horror on his face after being pinned with a crotch in his face. Priceless!

    Commercial break...... again.........

Back from commercial and backstage we see Teddy approached in his office by King Booker and Sharmell. Booker is not impressed by the match happening and proceeds to tell Long he'll beat anyone anywhere as he is King of the world! We're interrupted by Vito in the office to which Bookers begins a tirade against Vito calling him unseemly and a disgrace. Vito says he's all man and tells Booker to put his money where his mouth is literally. Long interrupts and makes a match between Vito and King Booker for next week which leaves Booker looking as disgusted as always! Vito proceeds to flash King Booker, Sharmell and Teddy Long. Priceless promo again by Booker.

We are taken back into the ring where Elijah Burke introduces Sylvester Terkay into the ring for a match up against Todd Smith already in the ring.

Match 6: Sylvester Terkay vs Todd Smith (whoever he is)
A lockup to begin with and a headlock by Smith on Terkay which Terkay breaks by just slamming Smith face first into the canvas. Another headlock by Smith and a handful of hair by Terkay as he slams Smith into the canvas once again. A slap by Terkay and a fist knocks Smith to the canvas yet again and he follows up with a knee to the ribs and knees to the head and rubbing his face into the canvas. Terkay picks Smith up and rams him back first into the corner, shoulders to the gut then with a handful of tights rams Smith into the steel post! Terkay is in total control and follows up with a back drop and a forearm into the face of Smith. Smith attempts a fight back but Terkay comes back strong with a hit to the back and he picks up the win by submission. Terkay defeated Smith (Author's note - 3/4 * Another squash by Terkay and I wonder when they'll give him someone of significant talent to wrestle against)

Commercial break......... yet again. I didn't realise how many breaks we have here......

Back from commercial we see King Booker accompanied by Sharmell coming to ringside with Regal. They join JBL and Cole at ringside. We then have Finlay introduced to the ring and his opponent next to a huge cheer from the crowd is Lashley.

    Match 7: Finlay vs Lashley
We begin with Finlay mouthing off against Lashley and the a lock up into the corner where Lashley breaks cleanly. A test of strength follows with Finlay putting an armbar on to Lashley who reverses it and has Finlay reaching through the ropes for the break. Another attempted lock up has Finlay kicking Lashley in the chest, and locking in a headlock only to have Lashley whip him off the ropes but get knocked down in the process and another play off the ropes has Lashley giving Finlay a hop toss and going for a one count. Finlay goes out of the ring for a breather and the crowd brings up a U.S.A chant. Finlay is now back in the ring and another test of strength and some basic wrestling moves follow leading up to both wrestlers breaking clean. (Author's note - during this match up we have heard Cole, Booker & JBL constantly arguing with each other in the commentary booth which actually takes away from the match itself). Lashley in another attempted test of strength whacks Finlay to the face with a right fist and as he follows up to grab Finlay is tossed through the middle ropes by him onto the floor. Finlay follows only to get a back body drop for his effort as Lashley looks down over him as we go to the dreaded.....

    Commercial break...........

Back from commercial we have Finlay with control over Lashley with a leg lock and see that during the commercial Lashley was knocked face first to the apron as he was attempting to reenter the ring followed by Finlay throwing Lashley leg first into the steel steps! Lashley attempts to break out of the hold with hits to the back of the head of Finlay to which he continues to work on the injured leg of Lashley dropping his knee into it a number of times. Finlay continues to wear down the leg of Lashley enduring more beatings and coming back with kicks to the leg of Lashley and exiting the ring and smashing the leg of Lashley against the steel post. Lashley reenters the ring on a five count to have Finlay attempt a half Boston crab on Lashley. on the outside we have various shots to Booker and Sharmell as they continue their tirade against Cole. Finlay stands on the leg of Lashley and continues to drop knees into his leg and continue to inflict pain upon Lashley who tries to kick out with his free leg and when he does so follows it up with a high knee to the face of Finlay. Lashley lets off some power blows and whips Finlay off of the ropes into an elbow to the face followed by a couple of clotheslines, a kick to the chest and a heavy blow to the back of the neck of Finlay bringing him down for a two count. Lashley picks up Finlay over his shoulders and gives him a back breaker along his back as he drops down to his knees! Power move! Another two count and Booker doesn't look well at all at the prospect of facing Lashley at No Mercy! Lashley whips Finlay into the ropes only to lose balance with the injured leg and get a kick to the chest for good measure. Regal tosses a chair into the ring unseen by the referee and as the referee has his back turned getting rid of it Finlay goes for his shillelagh and attempts to wipe out Lashley with it. Lashley ducks the shot follows up with two massive right hands, whips Finlay into the corner only to be met but a kick to the face but manages to follow up with a belly to belly suplex! We get Lashley then picking up Finlay into a military press position dropping him onto his knee and gets ready to spear him only to be tripped over by Regal at ringside! We get to see a glimpse of the lil' bastard who throws Finlay his shillelagh which he uses to whack the injured leg of Lashley getting himself disqualified. Lashley defeated Finlay by DQ (Author's note - 2** I love the intensity Finlay brings to his matches and Lashley though still green in the ring shows a lot of potential and has some huge power moves. Working with someone like Finlay can only help Lashley improve and the WWE did a great job in bringing Finlay back into the fold)

Post match we have Booker coming from commentary into the ring and beginning a vicious assault onto Lashley. We're joined by Regal in the ring who begins kicking into Lashley as well whilst Finlay is there ready to join in with the shillelagh as well! The camera pans out to the back and we see Batista taking out a steel pipe out of the back of a car and begin to walk towards the arena as his music breaks out. Finlay notes him coming and hops out of the ring waiting for Batista to arrive! As Batista rushes down the rampway and ready to strike Finlay, Finlay pushes the referee in the way allowing him to get cleaned up by Batista. Finlay makes for the back with Batista charging after him leaving Lashley in the hands of Regal and Booker. Booker pounds down Lashley as Regal leaves the ring and as Booker whips Lashley into the ropes he is met by a spear in return leaving Sharmell screaming murder out of the ring! The show ends with Lashley staring down Regal, Booker and Sharmell and Booker yelling at Lashley how he is going to get him.............

What an exciting end to the show! I'll have to give the show in regards to ratings about a 5 to 6 out of 10? There were 7 matches on the show and though some of them not really up to scratch, it was made better by the lengthy match between Kennedy and Rey Mysterio and the triple threat match which had some nice action in it. The show is building itself up towards No Mercy and hopefully is slowly turning the corner and rebuilding itself up to compete against Raw. Thanks to everyone with putting up with perhaps an overly lengthy first review but I hope you enjoy it and please if you have any comments or suggestions feel free to contact me at rudip1@pacific.net.au or the powers to be at LOP. Have a great week and I look forward to next week's premiere show for the season where we have some nice match ups with Vito vs King Booker & Mysterio vs Chavo.
