Impact has gotten off to an abrupt and violent start as LAX has gang attacked Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles at the broadcast booth! Inside the ring (which is filled with balloons and a table with party accessories) the attack continues as a blood covered Christopher Daniels fights back valiantly. Konnan now brains AJ Styles with a bottle of champagne and knocks him out. Both AJ and Daniels are bleeding profusely. From the back comes RHINO for the save. Not long after comes out Monty Brown, and then Brother Runt… and Abyss, Samoa Joe, and finally Jeff Jarrett (who was scheduled to have a victory party in the ring before all this tom foolery got underway). The lights go out, which is the signal for you know who.. STING now emerges from the darkness and fucks up everybody with his trusty baseball bat. Sting says that at Hard Justice it was not Jeff Jarrett who beat him, but rather Christian Cage. Sting swears that he will do anything for a rematch at Bound For Glory, and that he wants an answer tonight! (Commercial break)

A video plays recapping the fire incident at Hard Justice. Jeremy Borash and Eric Young now both appear outside Jeff Jarrett’s locker room. Normal shenanigans ensue.

Match – Alex Shelley, Johnny Devine and Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt.

The crowd chants lets go Lethal as the match begins with Jay Lethal facing off against Johnny Devine. Devine tags in Alex Shelley, who is wearing some shiny new tights. Sonjay Dutt now comes in and lays out everyone with some well placed kicks. The face team hits some planchas and then a crazed looking Earl Hebner appears and goes on the attack taking out Slick Johnson. This bizarre scene plays out as Impact goes to commercials again.

We come back from the break and we’ve got a new referee. The two teams brawl it out on the outside. Jay Lethal hits a nice looking backbreaker and then tags out to Sonjay Dutt who comes in and opens fire on everyone. Everyone is now in the ring and we get the classic Lucha ‘Rowing the boat’ spot performed for us. I guess normal tag rules don’t apply here as this has broken down into a complete clusterscrew. Chris Sabin hits a legdrop and scores the pinfall for his team.

Your winners: Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal.

A video plays recapping Christian Cage’s turn on Sting. After the match we see footage of Rhino confronting Cage backstage at Hard Justice. Cage says he did what he did for “everyone”. A Christian Cage promo now airs where he explains exactly what was going through his mind that night. He says his decision to turn on Sting was a spur of the moment thing. He says that Sting’s ego is to blame for this, and that he is no one’s lackey. He brings up the fact that he is the only undefeated ex-world champion to never ask for a rematch. He then says the TNA locker room will understand what he did. What he is saying actually makes a lot of sense, to me at least. Christy Hemme is BACK!! Thank you God. (Commercial break)

Backstage Jermey Borash is standing with the extremely bloody Fallen Angel and AJ Styles. Daniels cuts a strong promo saying that the next time they ( He and AJ) face LAX that they will not stop until they (LAX) are all dead! Konnan responds challenging the champs to a ‘border brawl’. A Bobby Roode vignette airs with him interviewing potential managers. Why anyone would want to manage this guy is beyond me…

Match to decide new number one contenders for the tag team championship – Chris Harris w/ Gail Kim vs. Kazarian vs. Chase Stevens vs. BG James.

The match starts off with Kazarian and Chase Stevens. Stevens gets an early advantage and hits a high backbody drop on Kazarian. Kazarian fights back with a huge DDT and then the two remaining participants come in and insert themselves into the match. BG James and Chris Harris square off in the ring as James Storm appears outside with the beer bottle. Chris Harris tells his partner to get out before he goofs up another match for him. Chase Stevens then grabs AMW’s hand cuffs and clonks Harris with them to get the pin and the win. The Franchise comes out looking pleased with his protégés.

    Your winner: Chase Stevens

We’ve now got a situation in the ring with AMW as the two former champions tease coming to blows while Gail Kim tries to play peace maker. (commercial break)

A vignette for Samoa Joe vs. Ron ‘The Suntan Superman’ Killings airs. Both men appear to be very confident.

Match – Samoa Joe vs. Ron Killings

Both men look very intense as the match begins. We get a staredown to start things off and then a Joe issued pie face turns this into an all out brawl. Killings shoots Joe and then goes for a ground and pound attack. As they both get back to their feat Joe catches Killings with a sick enzeguri. Killings now hits a flipping dive over the top rope onto Joe. Flipping dives are of course TNA’s preferred way of sending us to a… (Commercial break)

Samoa Joe and Killings continue their fight as we return from commercials. Joe one arm slams Killings from the corner and he now seems to have this match well in hand. Joe hits a few well placed kicks and then smashes Killings with a running knee drop. Truth is looking wobbly in the corner as Joe continues to chop away at him. That facewash couldn’t have helped matters much. (ouch) Joe now locks in a rear chinlock. Killing’s fights out of the chinlock and then downs Joe with a flying forearm. Killings gains some momentum but is then taken down hard by a powerslam. Killings hits a few kicks and then nails a huge front suplex on Joe for a two count. Killings is now caught on the top rope and gets put into the Muscle Buster which of course means lights out for the Truth.

    Your winner: Samoa Joe

In the back Jeff Jarrett addresses Sting’s challenge at Bound For Glory. He says he agrees on the condition that Sting must put his career on the line!

    Quick Results

Chris Sabin, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt defeated Alex Shelley, Johnny Devine and Petey Williams by pin fall

Chase Stevens defeated BG James, Chris Harris and Kazarian by pinfall (over Harris)

Samoa Joe defeated Ron Killings by pinfall

Not a bad show this week. The whole thing seemed to go by fast enough. The opening segment was a bit confusing with all the run ins, but things settled down after that. The Christian Cage explanation was the highlight of the show for me. There were three perfectly decent matches and other than an excessive amount of commercials, nothing really worthy of complaint from this recapper.
