Various readers have sent word that FOX's advertising confirms Chris Jericho for the new competition series "Celebrity Duets."
With American Idol's Simon Cowell as an executive producer, the show "pairs recording superstars with celebrities not famous for singing in hopes of their making beautiful music together" according to a FOX press release.
Cyndi Lauper, Smokey Robinson, Dionne Warwick, Randy Travis, Brian McKnight, Macy Gray, Patti LaBelle, Kenny Loggins, Chaka Khan, Richard Marx, Michael Bolton, Clint Black and Aaron Neville are among the musicians confirmed for the show. David Foster will serve as a judge.
The week after its two-hour premiere on 8/29, the show will move to its regular timeslot (Thursdays, 9-10PM) with a results show on Fridays (8-9PM). Eliminations will be determined by viewer voting, and the winner will receive a cash prize to donate to a charity of his or her choice.
