    WWE.com Raw Preview

Will HBK be the one to stop Umaga?
    July 31, 2006

What did Mr. McMahon say to his Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman on the phone last week on RAW? While we know his plan was to have Shawn Michaels face Coachman in a singles match, what else did he have planned?

With Triple H absent from the arena, and the Chairman at his daughter’s bedside while she was in labor, the remaining half of D-Generation X suffered, no doubt pleasing Mr. McMahon whether he had planned it or not. Was Umaga part of the Chairman’s plan to destroy DX? How will HBK and The Game react to Umaga’s interference? We'll find out when the Showstopper tries to stop Umaga in a one-on-one match on RAW.

Also, John Cena’s hunger for another opportunity at the WWE Championship keeps growing. He showed WWE Champion Edge that he won’t quit until he’s reclaimed WWE gold. The Rated R Superstar was distraught after Cena pinned his tag team partner Johnny Nitro on RAW. Did Cena finally turn the tides on his rival, or will Edge figure out a way to strike back?

The Diva Search saw another finalist get stricken from the list. Maryse Ouellete was the second Diva Search finalist to exit the competition. After the Diva Search Musical Chairs that will take place at Friday Night SmackDown, the pool of finalists will be cut to five Monday on RAW. Who will make it one step closer to being crowned the winner of the 2006 $250,000 Diva Search?

Mick Foley will be on RAW to address Ric Flair’s obsession with getting a rematch. The Hardcore Legend has made it clear he has no plans to bother with the “Nature Boy,” so what will his announcement be about?

Also, there will be a Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship as Johnny Nitro defends his gold against Shelton Benjamin and Carlito.

Plus WWE.com has learned Monday night will be the debut of Orton Knows Best. What that will entail is a mystery at this point but with the blossoming rivalry between Orton and Hogan, it may not be pretty.

With SummerSlam rapidly approaching, the answers to these questions are crucial. RAW at 9/8 CT, live from the Continental Airlines Arena in New Jersey, is the only place the answers will be revealed.

From WWE.com - Titan Towers Vandalized

As first reported by WWE Mobile Alerts, Mr. McMahon woke this morning to find WWE Headquarters in Stamford, CT spray painted with a DX logo. Stamford Police are currently conducting an investigation to find out who defaced the building. One can only imagine what the Chairman’s reaction was when he saw the logo of his arch-nemeses defaming his property, but it definitely wasn't a good one. Will the Chairman have anything to say about the incident tonight on RAW? Will the police have any leads to report? Who were the culprits? For more on this developing story, tune into Monday Night RAW on the USA Network tonight at 9/8 CT, and also stay tuned to WWE.com.

I was flipping though the VOD on Comcast digital cable and came across "WWE
Summer Slam Stories" it's a 31 minute look back at past Summer Slams, it
featuers the last 5 minutes of 3 matches.

Bret Hart VS Davey Boy Smith
    Randy Orton VS Chris Benoit
    Hogan VS HBK

It also features a photo shoot segment with Torrie when she was posing for
the first issue of WWE magazine.

There are alot of commercials for Summer Slam, WWE Shopzone but I guess if
your bored it's worth checking out it's hosted by Josh Matthews and he's
    just annoying as ever!

Funny this is it's sitting right next to TNAs greatest matches wonder if
that will change once WWE 24 / 7 is launched.

The CW website has finally been launched, and on the pages opening splash, it does include Batista in the promo for CW. The url is http://www.cwtv.com
On top of that, Smackdown has a sub-page, noting that Kevin Dunn is the executive director and it does not mention Vince McMahon anywhere. It also has the Smackdown promo for CW at http://www.cwtv.com/cw-smackdown.html
Just a note about that promo, some names who are in it and are no longer on Smackdown include MNM, Benoit, Henry, Orton, Angle and the FBI. Taker is also in the promo, as is Batista.

The Score has gone and posted its schedule for the month of August and the program schedule for the station lists the ever so important 3rd air time for WWE Raw. Not only will WWE Raw air on a one hour tape delay in Canada at 10pm ET, with a pacific prime replay later that evening at 12:30am ET, but the following Tuesday, WWE Raw will replay midday at 3:30pm ET. This appears to be a constant replay that is not going to be preempted.

Just a reminder that starting this week, WWE Smackdown will now air on Friday nights at 8pm, with a 12:00 am replay later that evening in Pacific Prime in Canada. Additionally, The Score's website is listing that the 3rd airing of WWE Smackdown will now be shown on Saturdays at 3:30 pm ET every week, which is an upgrade from the late night replay time's the show had been getting...
