I am passing along a portion of this email I received tonight from ticketmaster.com about Sunday's ECW house show in Saginaw, MI:

"Hello, this is Ticketmaster Customer Service with an important alert for your upcoming event. ECW Live scheduled at Dow Event Center on July 23, 2006, at 4:00pm, has been postponed. Dave Meltzer ( http://www.wrestlingobserver.com ) reports that the reason the ECW house shows, as noted above, were cancelled is so ECW talent would be able to appear at the Great American Bash PPV on Sunday. The house show tonight (Saturday) in Muskegon could have ran problem free but since only a few of the ECW wrestlers will be appearing at the Bash, that meant the entire ECW crew would have been kept on the road until Tuesday's TV show without actually working Sunday or Monday. WWE saw no point in doing that so the decision was made for the cancels. Another reason for ECW talent at the Great American Bash, and what likely helped finalize the ECW house show cancellations, is to help make up for lack of talent due to Mark Henry and Bobby Lashley being confirmed as out.

Mike Johnson ( http://www.pwinsider.com ) reports that the match on Smackdown a few weeks back when Finlay defeated Bobby Lashley for the US Championship, was originally supposed to have a DQ finish according to the show's format and Lashley would have kept his title. When that format was changed and Finlay won, the locker room began speculating that Lashley may soon be pulled from the road. Yesterday, WWE announced that Lashley had been pulled from action due to increased liver enzymes. It is believed that Lashley's increased liver enzymes was found in their wellness testing propgram. According to atleast one medical source: enzyme increases in the liver can be brought on by a number of possible factors including excessive use of vitamin supplements and certain herbal supplements, certain medications (including certain anti-inflammatory drugs, cholesterol-lowering medications, antibiotics and anti-seizure medications), excessive drinking of alcohol, obesity, diabetes, or an infection brought about by certain diseases.
