Match #1: Val Venis vs. Nick Berk

Grisham and Coach are doing the commentating while Maria is doing the
announcing. Ah, Maria. Anyway, Nick Berk a cruiserweight wrestler from
Philly of CZW fame, and during the initial lockup looks about the size of
Little Guido compared to Val Venis towering over him. The lockup migrates
into a wristlock by Venis that Berk punches out of, only to be punched in
kind and then slammed into the turnbuckle and hit with a knife-edge chop for
good measure from Val. Val then sends the little guy sailing across the ring
into the opposite turnbuckle and hits him with another chop in the corner.
    >From there, Val starts hitting his trademarks knee lifts while whipping Berk
across the ring, finishing up with a Russian legsweep. After "shaking his
moneymaker", as Grisham so eloquantly described it, Val starts hammering
away on Berk with some mounted punches. He then brings Berk back to his feet
and goes into a waistlock, but Berk elbows out of it and whips Val into the
corner, charging after him. Val leapfrogs over Berk though, "queaking" his
knee, then clotheslining the advancing jobber.

Berk fires back with a low dropkick to Val's "hurt" knee, however, and then
takes the big guy down with a drop toe hold. After stomping away for a bit,
Berk locks in a leg-lace on the knee. Val starts rallying back, but Berk
takes him down again by working the knee some more. Berk then drapes Val's
leg across the bottom rope and hits a vaulting sit down splash, then goes
    into a standing toe hold.

Val's had enough though and starts clotheslining Berk repeatedly and then
attempting a back body drop. Berk's weight doesn't carry over though, so Val
turns it into a standing spinebuster to the crowd's delight. After another
whip to the ropes, Val finally hits that back body drop he was looking for.
After a half-nelson slam, Val goes to the top rope and hits the Money Shot.
Three seconds later, the match is over.

    Winner: Val Venis

Match #2: Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs. Jakus Plisken & Cameron Bates

Cade starts off with Plisken, who resembles Tyson Tomko to a degree that is
unsettling to me. Cade reads my mind and slaps the guy across the face
before a lockup. Cade then hits a running shoulder block and then leads his
opponent over to the corner for a tag. Murdoch tags in and starts hammering
away on the guy. After whipping Plisken to the neutral corner, he charges
in, but is met with a very low back spinning kick that doesn't seem to hit
much higher than Murdoch's thigh. Plisken wristlocks Murdoch and drags him
over to his corner to tag in Bates.

Bates climbs in the ring only to get battered to the mat by Murdoch,
punctuated with a stiff elbow. Irish whip and drop toe hold later, Murdoch
is all over this kid with forearm after forearm. Cade tags back in to kick
away at Bates a bit, before bringing Murdoch back in for a quick double-team
action. Cade and Murdoch slam the guy backwards into their corner, but after
Murdoch tags back in and Cade works over Bates with the ref distracted,
Bates rallies back with a series of elbows. Cade stops him quick though by
draping the kid's neck over the top rope.

Plisken pleads with the ref to stop the double-teaming, but it only allows
Murdoch to take Bates down with a backdrop suplex, while Cade follows up
with a leg drop. Murdoch goes for the cover, but the ref is out of position
and only gets a two-count. Murdoch has a bit of a tantrum, so he and Cade
whip Bates to the ropes and hit a double back body drop. With Cade back in
the ring, he slaps on a neck wrench, occasionally hitting an elbow drop to
the collar. Bates starts to come back though, and hits a dropkick on Cade
after shoving him to the ropes.

Plisken tags back in finally, as does Murdoch, with Plisken hitting a
running spinning clothesline of sorts. Cade rushes back into the ring and
goes for a clothesline of his own, but Plisken ducks it. Cade catches him
with an awkward looking spinebuster of sorts, however, and from there the
cowboys hit their patented finisher (Running clothesline, running knee clip
    combo) and get the pin.

Winners: Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch

    Segment #3: Diva Boot Camp

Okay, honestly... I didn't watch the boot camp segment on Smackdown this
past Friday and I have no intention of doing it now. I suspect this is your
run-of-the-mill highlight reel where they edit together as much boobage as
possible and try very hard to make this Diva Search fiasco appear
interesting. I know that the Layla girl with the British accent won, by
reading the SD recap, so that's all you really need to know I would say. If
that upsets you, let me know, and I might care.

Heat Main Event: Rob Conway vs. Snitsky

Conway struts his way to the ring, and even though I love Maria to death,
her announcing skills are horrendous. A detail that Coach and Grisham have
no problem making fun of throughout this show. Snitsky makes his way down to
the ring next and is met with a bewildering, if not moderate, face pop.

Conway stalls before they lock up and goes to the turnbuckles to pose for
the crowd. Snitsky then does the same to get a more positive response and
then they finally get underway. They start up with the collar and elbow
where Conway goes into a waistlock, only to get elbowed away, where he ducks
out to ringside. Rob gets back in and starts punching away on the big man,
but Snitsky reverses an Irish whip and takes Rob down with a hip toss and
then a body slam. Rob comes back and goes for a suplex, but Snitsky blocks
it and hits a stalling suplex of his own. Snitsky measures up for the big
boot, but Conway ducks to the outside again.

Snitsky tries to grab him when he gets back in the ring, but Conway drapes
his neck across the top rope to stun him. From there, Rob gets the big man
down to one knee and hits him from behind with a running forearm of sorts to
take him all the way down. After stomping away some more on Snitsky, Conway
baseball slides him and sends him outside the ring. Conway then leaps off
the ring apron with a cross body, but Snitsky catches him. Conway slips away
though and sends Gene crashing into the ring post head first. Once he has
the big guy back in the ring, Conway uses his foot to choke him and then
punch away at his groggy opponent.

A two-count later, Conway slaps on a sitting chinlock. Snitsky quickly
"hulks up" and goes for a clothesline, but Rob ducks it and hits a standing
dropkick for another two-count, then slapping on another chinlock variation.
Snitsky finally comes back and hits a sidewalk slam after breaking out of
the chinlock. Snitsky then hits a body slam and a running elbow drop, but
only gets a two-count of his own. He sends Conway to the corner and charges
in, but Conway hits him with a big boot block and then jumps to the second
turnbuckle where he comes off with some kind of flying leg lariat.

Conway goes for the cover, but it's only good for two. He then sets up for
what looks like the Ego Trip, but he gets shoved away and then taken down by
Snitsky with a huge clothesline. As he gathers his senses, Snitsky rallies
the crowd and then hits the big boot on a bewildered Conway and gets the
    win.

    Winner: Gene Snitsky
