Report sent in by LOP reader Jim Jensen First off the building was a total sellout minus the tarped area around the cameras. The fake Spirit Squad was WAY over with the crowd and I got a really good picture of them with their signs before it started. It was a really hot crowd too even more so than when Smackdown came here last year before Eddie passed. Oh and a lot of Eddie commemorative shirts as well. Lillian was way over as well and totally nailed the national anthem. A lot of good signs that never made it to TV as well. One of them was Found: Lost corncob found up McMahon's ass. There was a 4 year old kid in front of me who really knew who all of the wrestlers were and totally went off on Edge and seriously swore a bluestreak with his dad right there. The crowd was for Cena I guess but there was a lot of boos and lets go Shelton chants. The building went NUTS for Flair. As did I of course. As soon as we found out he was coming to the ring during the segment with Maria the Woooooos were deafening. Then when the music hit they went apeshit. Big Show got a good pop too as did Heymann. ECW is really over in this part of the country as well. The Kiss Cam was hilarious. They showed it on the Spirit Squad guys and they immediately flipped off the camera. The crowd was totaly into the Lillian segment as well though I was out getting some grub and missed that whole thing. Sorry but Big Vis = I get hungry and need to go get food. Then the main event. The crowd was really restless for DX and we were all worried they would either pull a no show or do a Foley pre taped promo. We were all really into the McMahons coming out and as Vince walked down to the ring I was the only one in my section bowing to the true wrestling.........GOD. He looked right at me and smiled. I thought that was awesome. The match came off well in the arena as well and the Spirit Squad found their faux counterparts hilarious. But when DX's music hit the arena blew up. After the match they continued to taunt everyone and then ran down and cleared the ring of the squad. Funny note though Vince finally goes to the top of the ramp and Shane leaves. He stands there and makes fun of us Huskers. LMAO. We were in IOWA yah friggen idiot. So HHH mooned Vince and then grabbed a cam and headphone set. He then showed the cam towards Vince and popped the middle finger right up in the camera. Hilarious stuff. Then Vince finally left and DX were still in the ring celebrating when all of the sudden out of nowhere Edge and Cena came stumbling down to the ring. As the ref goes to get up on the apron HHH pulls him down and takes his shirt off and he is our ref!!!! Good match actually as Shawn was on the outside just taunting and hamming it up. Hilarious finish as Edge gets all three finishers. Then when he comes to a huge you suck chant broke out and he went into a little kids tirade mocking all of the finishers and then just rolling around the ring. Then he got up and was still announced champion and that was it. Awesome show but very little pyro for some reason. Biggest Pops: 1. DX by far 2. Flair 3. Cena 4. Maria and Lillian tied Biggest Heat: 1. The faux Sprit Squad in the stands (seriously) 2. Spirit Squad 3. McMahons P.S. For Heat the crowd was totally into Armando. They went to the Argosy casino afterwards with Armando and Rodney from the Highlanders as well as Mitch from Spirit Squad.
