The Highlanders defeated Cade & Murdoch.
- The Highlanders were VERY over with the fans, while Cade and Murdoch were
recieving nothing less than an arena full of boos. Cade and Murdoch had a
short dispute during the match, but quickly made up. After the match,
Murdoch raised Cade's hand.
Snitsky defeated Shelton Benjamin.
- Shelton recieved a large amount of boos, while Snitsky, surprisingly, was
VERY over with the fans, recieving a surprising amount of cheers. Benjamin
was mostly cowering behind the ref for the majority of the match. But
Snitsky caught him with a big boot for the win.
Charlie Haas defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan.
- Haas was recieving a fair amount of boos, but not too many people seemed
to care about him. Hacksaw was very over, and the pick to win, but while
climbing back into the ring (while chasing Haas) Charlie rolled him up for a
surprise victory.
Matt Striker did an edition of the Classroom that was interupted by Carlito
and Trish.
Carlito & Trish defeated Mickie James & Rob Conway, Melina & Johnny Nitro.
- Carlito and Trish were very over with the fans, just as their opponents
had a huge amount of heat in this triple threat tag team match. For a good
portion of the match, Conway and Nitro were teaming up against Carlito, but
Mr. Caribbean Cool came back with Trish and pinned Conway (if I recall
correctly.)
Randy Orton defeated Eric Smith (British Bulldog's Son)
- Randy Orton's match was surprisingly a bit slow. It was a decent back and
forth match, but the audience didn't get into it as much as they did the
others... possibly because most people didn't know who Eric Smith was (or at
least I believe his name was Eric). Both men were very impressive however.
Randy Orton snuck out of a Bulldog-like Slam, then hit the RKO for the win.
DX defeated the Spirit Squad.
- The Spirit Squad came out and did a cheer, then Triple H hit the ring to
the old DX music. No one could compete with Triple H as far as overness. The
audience errupted for him. He made a big long speel about how the Spirit
Squad is gay, then introduced a new member of DX (since HBK couldn't make
it), but he said this member was a One-Night-Only thing. That's when the
Nature Boy Ric Flair came down. His music started up, then midway through it
broke into the DX music. It was awkward seeing Flair in a DX shirt. He
seemed a bit uncomfortable with the whole thing. A lot of humorous antics
took place because of Triple H including a little martial arts dance, after
one of the SS members slipped on a bandana and attempted to show off some
martial arts moves. Triple H responded with a few "dance moves" of his own,
which is possibly one of the funniest things I've ever seen. This match
stole the show. Triple H picked up the win with the Pedigree, after clearing
the ring, and while Flair had the Figure Four locked on a member of the SS.
John Cena defeated Edge with Lita in a Non-Title Street Fight.
- Cena was very over while the audience was quite rude to Edge (beyond the
booing). Most of this match took place outside of the ring, so I didn't see
much. Edge accidently took out the ref with a clothesline when Cena moved.
That's when Cena slapped on the STFU and Edge tapped, but with no ref to
count it. Edge later took Cena down with an Edgeucutioner, when another ref
slid in, but Cena kicked out at the last second. Edge punched the ref,
afterwards because he didn't count fast enough, then went to spear Cena, who
was being held by Lita on the apron, but Cena moved and Edge speared Lita
off the apron. That's when Cena hit the FU. The original ref woke up just in
time to count the pinfall.
