WWE House Show Results from Norfolk, Virginia 7-2-06

    Arena was pretty full with a few seats opened in the upper section.

    Here are the results.



    Tag Team Match
    The Highlanders defeated Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch via Pinfall
    *Highlanders were over with the crowd. Very solid work by the duo. Can't wait to see them on TV.



    Singles Match
    Charlie Haas defeated Viscera via Pinfall with his feet on the ropes
    *Viscera got a decent pop while Haas received much heat.


    Singles Match
    Harry Smith defeated Matt Striker via Pinfall
    *Striker gave a really bad promo about Harry Smith being the son of the British Bulldog and said he had a lot to learn about being inside a WWE ring. Smith won after a sunset flip



    Singles Match
    Umaga (w/ Alejandro) defeated Snitsky via Pinfall
    *Crowd was dead for the match. Umaga wins it with a Samoan Spike



    Singles Match
    Randy Orton defeated Kane via Pinfall
    *I think a lot of people in my section forgot Orton was on Raw. Orton came out to a decent pop. He pulled his tights up so the crowd could see his ass. Many of the ladies liked this. Orton wins after an RKO.



    10 Minute Intermission



    Singles Match
    WWE Women’s Championship
    Mickie James defeated Torrie via Pinfall
    *Both ladies were over with the crowd. Mickie was more over being that she is from Richmond, which is about 2 hours away from Norfolk, as well as the home of WWE Armageddon 2006. Mickie wins after a DDT.




    Triple Threat Match
    WWE Intercontinental Championship
    Johnny Nitro (w/ Melina) defeated Carlito and Shelton Benjamin via Pinfall on Carlito
    *Melina has hands down the best entrance in the WWE. Nitro took two ridiculous bumps during the match. Crowd was into the match. Match of the night in my opinion. Nitro wins after pinning Carlito.




    No Holds Barred
    John Cena defeated Edge
    *Cena is so over in Norfolk. Crowd went nuts when he came out. Edge wasn’t with Lita which surprised a lot of people. Cena wins after an FU




    5-on-2 Handicapped Match
    Degeneration X defeated The Spirit Squad via Pinfall on Kenny
    *Sadly, Cena was more over than DX. DX cut their usual promo. Crowd was hyped for the match. DX wins after Triple H pinned Kenny.



    Overall, not a bad show. I could have lived had I not been there, but not bad for the money. As I said before, Richmond VA is hosting Armageddon this year, and I will be attending.
