Reports suggest that loyal ECW fans in Philly weren't as accepting of the new ECW product. They didn't like Heyman's pleas of supporting the product even with the compromises made with the WWE to get it back, hated the Big Show, did not like Sandman's music, ripping Mike Knox (the one who covers up Kelly) to shreds, and verbally destroying the WWE replacement ring announcer, Justin Roberts all night long.

There's even a report of a fistfight going around about a few John Cena fans fought with ECW loyalists due to the Cena fans starting a John Cena cheer during Heyman's speech after the show ended. About 10 people reportedly got into the fight. It should be noted, however, that this type of occurrance does not normally happen at ECW events.

However, the fans were mostly accepting of Kurt Angle, very supportive of Tommy Dreamer, in support of CM Punk, and several old ECW fans were there in attendance for support (such as the infamous straw hat fan).

The show was said to have unfavorable reviews by many ECW fans, but at the same time, much were happy to be attending a show called ECW at the ECW arena for the first time in years.
