Smackdown house show results from June 17th in Portland, ME at the
Cumberland County Civic Center. Show started with the Miz announcing no
Undertaker tonight and if you wanted a refund you could get one after the
2nd match but than announced Batista would be wrestling on the show and the
crowd popped. The Civic Center appeared to 50-60% full factoring in ringside
seating. Id say around 3,500-4,000 in attendance.

Bobby Lashley d. Finley. Regal attacked Lashley before the match and was
around ringside. Lashely won with a spear. The Leprechaun hopped out from
out under the ring and attacks Regal. Finley restrains him and they all head
to the back including the Leprechaun attacking Chimel, Regals facial
expressions during this were priceless. Regal looked to be in the best shape
    of his career.

Jillian d Kristal. Decent match considering the Candice Michelle classics
on Raw we see every week. Both ladies showed a lot of potential. Kristal
played heel and did a great job considering her lack of experience.

Sylvester Turkey d. Gunner Scott. Turkey to came across as a combo of
Bruiser Brody, Rip Morgan and John Nord. Turkey dominated most of the match
while Scott was in Benoit mode selling and being beaten.

Tatanka d Mr. Kennedy. Mr. Kennedy got a face reaction coming out than took
the mic and did some funny cheap heat that got the locals riled up. He said
it's great to be in Bangor. Than the Mainers booed and he asked Chimel where
they were and Chimel told him and Kennedy said "We're not in Oregon!" He
than pointed out an overweight lady in the front row and stated "she
invented the toothbrush" Because if anyone else had invented it, it would
be known as a teethbrush" Tatanka looks good for 44. He looked the same as
he did when he wrestled Mike Rontundo in the same buiding back in 1994.

Vito d Funaki with a submission hold. They did the usual reported spot where
Vito reveals a thong underneath to the crowds delight.

Paul London and Brian Kendrick d The Pitbulls Knoble and Kash. I'd say the
best match of the night. A lot of near falls with Knoble and Kash virtually
getting no reaction coming out and than by the end of the match had the
crowd into it and drawing some heat. London and Kendrick just look like
former boy band members. Kash looked to be angry at some of the ringsiders
by getting into their faces after and having security get in between. Kash
now sports a 1982 John Ritter haircut with a slight part in the middle.

The Great Khali w/Davairi squashed Matt Hardy with a chokeslam. Looks like
    Hardy as come full circle.

Gregory Helms d Super Crazy to retain the Crusierweight title. Crazy was
more over than I expected. Good back and fourth match.

Batista and Rey Mysterio Jr defeat Mark Henry and King Booker w/Sharmell.
Bookers entrance is annoying and not in a good way. Chimmel says "All Hail
King Booker!" about 30 times. I've never been a fan of their King gimmicks.
At least he's not using Haku, Races or Duggans old King theme which of
course is now Lawlers. Batista looked the same to me as he did before the
injury. No major physique deflation like some other guys. A short match
with Batista and Rey doing Eddie stuff and I never realized how over Rey is
with young children until tonight. They love the guy.

A decent House Show and seeing Batista in action was a nice surprise for the
fans. They really need to improved the lighting at the House Shows. It
looked like they were wrestling in a basement. It was just to dim above the
ring. They need it be a tad brighter above the ring. There were chants of
    we need more light.
