Smackdown Report

Hey guys this is X-Girly again filling in for Chad!

It opened up with a highlight of last week about how JBL was mocking Rey Mysterio fro having lost to Mark Henry. And it showed JBL telling Rey that he was going to face the great Kahli. And it showed Kahli manhandling him in front of Rey’s family. And then JBL was acting like a hero and making fun of Rey, and telling him he isn’t a man of his word.

Then as it officially opened up JBL came out in person in a ridiculous looking American Flag windbreaker. He doesn’t get into the ring and talks through the moon roof. JBL is talking about how he is an American Hero. He wants to acknowledge the heart of their champion Rey Mysterio, and he is talking about how his people have machismo. Which he translated into “more guts than brains,”. And he started talking about how Latino’s have passion like Eddie did but passion doesn’t pay the bills. The crowd then started chanting for Eddie, but JBL said that they should be chanting for Rey because he is going to need it. Then JBL said that tonight Rey was going to play with fire, and that when you play with fire you are going to get burnt. JBL promised that tonight would be a night that Rey would never forget. But JBL doesn’t reveal who Rey’s opponent is going to be.

MNM then enter the ring in their typical red carpet fashion. After Melina did the splits, they showed video footage from Jillian and Paul London and Brian Kendrick tricking MNM last week.

Jillian Hall then came down to the ring followed by the dynamic duo Paul London and Kendrick. It is going to be 3 on 3 action.

The match started and Melina and Jillian immediately jumped at each others throats. They were pulled apart as we went to commercial break.

When we come back from commercial break Nitro and Kendrick are in the ring with Kendrick putting a headlock on Nitro. Kendrick flipped Nitro over. Then Kendrick threw Nitro into the ropes and shoulder flipped him a few times. Then Kendrick the tagged London into the ring. They flipped him over their shoulder and delivered simultaneous kicks to the gut, which caused London to pin Nitro but it reached a two count. Nitro started to capitalize and tagged Mercury into the ring. Mercury delivered many kicks to the gut and then a flying crossbody for another two count. The London locked Mercury into an arm submission and Mercury backed him into the corner. They played dodge for awhile and Kendrick was tagged back into the ring. Kendrick knocked Nitro off the apron and Melina grabbed Kendrick’s hair. And Mercury took out the back of Kendrick’s knee. Mercury used the ring as a weapon and Melina started screaming again. Mercury worked on the knee of Kendrick’s for awhile then backed him into the corner. And Melina and Nitro doubled team choked him. Then Nitro was tagged in the ring and immediately went to work on Kendrick’s knees and put him into a leg submission. Kendrick tried to get out by kicking Nitro with his other leg but it failed and Mercury came back into the ring. And went to work on the leg yet again. He placed Kendrick’s leg on the rope and jumped on it causing Kendrick’s to scream in pain. Then Nitro was tagged back into the ring. He delivered hard stiff kicks to Kendrick’s leg, he’s trying to wear him down before Judgment day. Nitro put Kendrick’s into a leg submission and then tried to jump on his leg again but Kendrick’s jumped out of the way and Nitro landed ass first onto the canvas and tagged in Mercury. Kendrick tried to escape but Mercury caught him and put his leg into a very pain full looking submission, and punched Kendrick’s leg after taking off the knee pad. Kendrick all of a sudden wrapped Mercury up into a small package! However Mercury got out of it. ( A side note is Nitro came into the ring and just watched the pin..not really doing anything). Nitro gets tagged and does a break dancing move into a leg drop. Melina screamed yet again. Nitro brings Kendrick over to the ropes and Melina starts to choke him with her legs while the ref is distracted. Then Mercury is tagged in yet again and MNM does a double team on the leg. Then Mercury tries to pin Kendrick but London breaks it up. Kendrick then starts to deliver elbows to the face of Mercury and attempts to deliver an insiguri but he misses. Then Mercury tries to lock in another submission but Kendrick’s kicks him away into Nitro! Nitro then tries to stop Kendrick’s from going to his corner but the ref and a kick to head stopped him. Kendrick’s flies into the corner and tag’s London! London flew over the top rope and started cleaning house with kicks and elbows and clotheslines. Then he was stopped by Mercury MNM attempted the double team. They attempted to clothesline him together but London ducked and delivered a standing moonsault for a count of two. London and Nitro are the legal men they deliver right hands back and forth and collided heads. Melina then tagged herself in, and since this match has intergender rules Jillian was the legal woman now. They immediately went for each other. Grabbing each other by the hair and attempting to take each other down. Jillian delivered the right hands and Melina kicked her. Then delivered a few rights of her own. Melina threw Jillian against the ropes and Jillian came back with a vintage Stone Cold type move and jumped on her and striated delivering the right hands while Melina was on her back. You all know what im talking about. Mercury then came in and pulled Jillian off and threw her out of the ring. This pissed both the ref and Kendrick off and Kendrick out him over the top. Then Nitro came in and London and Kendrick both delivered standing drop kicks at the same time and Nitro also went to the outside. This left Melina in the ring alone while Jillian went to the top. Melina slapped Kendrick only to get a cross body from Jillian for the win.
** JILLIAN, LONDON, AND KENDRICK DEAFEATED MNM WITH JILLIAN HITTING A CROSS BODY ON MELINA**** A side note, though I don’t have a rating system this match was very good. There was a solid amount of action.

After the match they showed highlights from the press conference for judgment day. It showed Mark Henry talking shit…. Booker and Sharmell being arrogant and talking about how people are going to have to call him King Booker and all hail him. JBL talking about how he was going to be the first one to hole the U.S. Championship and the world champ at the same time. Rey came out and said that JBL would never take the championship from him.

They then announced again that Rey would be facing a mystery opponent later on in the night.


We come back form commercial break and they showed Kane’s movie premier clip again. After all it is MAY 19TH!

They showed the clip from Henry beating Angle up from last week.

Angle then shows up on the screen and says that Henry and him have known each other for ten years, and that they met each other at the 1996 Olympic games. That’s where Kurt won his medal… and Henry won… well he didn’t win a damn thing did he? For the past few weeks Henry has been saying that Kurt Angle caused him to lose a shot at the title. And Angle said damn right he did. He threw him over the top rope in that battle royal. Then he beat him one on one. But Henry couldn’t take it and he tried to end Angles career. But he failed, just like he is going to fail at Judgment day. Angle then went on to say that he loved Judgment day because you are going to get judged by everyone. Angle judged him, and said that Henry is indeed the world’s strongest man, but that doesn’t matter because he is going to fail.

They showed a clip of Lashley defeating Finlay last week.

Lashley then comes out to the ring with a good ovation from the audience. It is going to be Lashley. Another guy is already in the ring. His name is Jared Steele. This should be an interesting match. The match started of with Lashley dominating. Steele then went over to the ropes to stop Lashley’s momentum. They then tied it up and Lashley delivered and shoulder throw and a belly to belly suplex. Steele was on the outside complaining to the ref. He go back into the ring and they tied up and Steele kneed him in the abdomen. Steele started to get some offense. With a few rights and some elbows. He then tried to picked Lashley up but Lashley was having none of that and delivered a hard blow to the back of Steele. And Lashley was delivering clothes lines and picked him up for a Gorilla Press. A very impressive one I might add. Then Lashely Hit a vertical suplex… with a lot of power. Lashley speared the hell outta Steele for the 1…2…3!
***LAHSELY DEAFEATED STEELE WITH THE SPEAR*** This match was more of a work out for Lashley while squashing any momentum Steele could get.

Lashley then made his way up the ramp and started to admire the King of the Ring set. And starts to sit on the throne. Then the Booker comes out and starts to get in Lashley’s face. Booker had to be pulled down to the ring by Sharmell.

It is going to be Booker T and Finlay vs. Benoit and Gunner Scott!

We come back form commercial break with the Raw rebound.

They all come out to the ring. Before the match even starts Beniot slaps Finlay in the face. The try to get things started but the ref restores order and starts the match. Gunner is talking smack to Booker T. And of course Benoit and Finlay hate each other. Booker and Gunner start. Booker slaps Gunner and Gunner shoves him. Then they get into a vicious tie up. Gunner rams Booker into the corner. The ref breaks them up. Another tie up after a show down and this time Booker backs Gunner into the corning and start driving shoulders into his gut. They then exchange chops back and forth and Gunner throws him against the ropes and delivers a devastating elbow. Gunner pins Booker for a two count. Then while the Ref is trying to stop Finlay from coming into the ring, Booker gets a thumb to the eye. And tags in Finlay. They do a typical double team with Finlay kicking Gunner in the gut and they places him in a side headlock. Finlay they delivers a clotheskline and another submission while talking trash to Beniot. Finlay brings Gunner up and Gunner reverses the move onto Finlay. Finlay runs to the ropes and Gunner kicked the rope that Finlay had his leg over while the referee was distracted. Gunner delivered and Inverted Atomic Drop and a clothesline to Finlay. Then FInlay reversed with a Snapmare and another headlock submission. Gunner is now bleeding form the mouth. Gunner gets out of the submission only to be taken down by another clothesline and Booker gets tagged in. Another double team with Booker kicking Gunner in the gut. Booker brings Gunner to the corner and delivers a lot of chops. The crowd starts chanting for Benoit. Gunner reverses into a face suplex. Booker starts working on Gunner again and kicks Gunner in the face. For a two count. Then yet another headlock is put on Gunner, only this time by Booker T. Gunner is now bleeding out of the mouth. Gunner gets out of the head lock and tries to run against the ropes for momentum but is taken down by Booker. And now Finlay is in the ring. Finlay delivers two elbows to the face and a slam to the mat. Finlay brings Gunner to the corner and lays him down on the mat. He then tries to pancake him but Gunner brings he knees up and get the tag to Benoit! The crowd goes nuts and Benoit goes postal on Finlay with chops and punches and knees and takes him down with a shoulder block. Finlay then escapes to the outside of the ring but Benoit shows his ruthless aggression and brings him back into the ring and attempts the sharp shooter. Booker T then comes into the ring and breaks the hold. Gunner comes into the ring and tries to take out Booker but the ref stops him from doing so. Gunner goes back to his corner while Beniot hits a snap suplex on Finlay. Finlay then hits a thumb to the eye in front of the Ref and a huge clothes line on Benoit. Booker then gets tagged into the ring and delivers a chop to Benoit. Benoit then throws him into the ropes and attempts a kick but Beniot ducks and delivers some chops of his own. And delivers a German. Benoit tries to pin Booker but Booker kicks out after 2.. then Benoit tags in Gunner Scott. After a double team move Gunner hit lots of chops to Booker. And a snap suplex to Booker for a two count. Booker then reverses and tags in Finlay who delivers a clubbing blow to Gunners gut. He throws Gunner into the corner and runs after him, but Gunner kicks Finlay in the face and goes to the top rope. But Booker knocks him off onto the outside. Finlay and Booker both go to the outside to go after Gunner but Benoit quickly ran to Gunners aide. As we go to commercial break.

We come back form the break and Finlay is beating Gunner down. With kness directly to the face. Booker then gets tagged into the ring and is taunting Gunner to get up. When Gunner does Booker punches him in the face. Booker brings Gunner to the ropes and knees him in the gut. Then throws him against the rope to a knee to the jaw. Booker then pins Gunner, but Gunner kicks out after two. Booker T tries to hit a standing suplex, but Gunner countered with a side Russian Leg Sweep. Gunner then got the tag into Benoit! Benoit immediately went to work on Booker with chops and a scoop slam and a hard elbow to the face. Benoit then tried to pin Booker and only received a two count. Then Benoit hit another snap suplex on Booker for another two count. Booker hit a thumb of the eye on Benoit. And Finlay tried to hit Benoit from behind. However Benoit knocked him off the apron ring and took Booker down and started beating the hell outta him with pushes to the face. Finlay grabbed Benoits leg and pulled him to the outside then he drove Beoit back first into the steel steps. And Finlay hit Benoit in the ribs with his stick. Its called a jilaylee…. If that’s how you spell it. Sorry folks. Anyway so then Finlay throws Benoit back into the ring and Booker head over to him. Booker tries to pink Benoit for an easy three but Benoit kicks out. Then Booker hits an Abdominal stretch to Benoit and holds it for awhile. Booker then gives up and drive his elbow into Benoits gut and throws him against the ropes. Beniot reverses with a German Suplex! Bothe men are down and Benoit makes the tag to Gunner Scott. Gunenr has great momentum and he takes it to Booker and hits a drop kick on him for a two count. Gunner is then backed into a corner, but kicks Booker out of the way and goes to the second rope and hits a very impressive missile drop kick. And almost gets the three count. Until Finlay comes back into the ring and Benoit comes in and those two go at it. Both ending up on the outside because Benoit suplexed Finlay and hurt himself as well. We are left with only Booker and Gunner left in the ring. Gunner started hitting chops. But Booker delivered a hard kick to the side of the head. As Lashley comes out and sits in the throne. While Booker is distracted Gunner hits the crucifix (which is a pin) and wins the match,
**** GUNNER AND BENOIT DEAFEATED FINLAY AND BOOKER, WITH GUNNER PINNING BOOKER T**** Side note.. Gunner did a really nice job for himself this week. And the match turned out to be a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

Booker T looks stunned and Lashley becomes arrogant and applauds Booker. Booker T looks really pissed as they show the replay.

We see a promo for Tantanka and his return!!!

Diavari is in the ring and is talking about the Undertaker. And about how much he has accomplished and he has been unstoppable until now. He told him to pay attention to what he was about to see. We are shown clips of everything the Undertaker has done. And they are everything form vintage to American bad ass Undertaker. Then it shows the great Kahli coming down and basically destroying him. With some crazy Indian music in the background. And then it started showing The Great Kahli dominating small people such as Funaki and Rey… real impressive huh?

We come back to Diavari as he introduces Kahli. It takes him like 3 min to get down there because he cant walk straight. And he starts talking… Im sorry guys but I can understand anything he says. All I can make out is Undertaker. I tired but theres no way to understand him… especially since he was speaking mostly in his native tongue. But Tazz thinks he said Rest In Peace.

Mark Henry is making his way down to the ring for One on One action against Matt Hardy. (No I am not kidding). Matt Hardy tries to take Henry down by the knee. But Henry quickly man handled Hardy. He threw Hardy to the outside and Henry chased Matt around the apron. He kicked Henry in the face through the ropes and he tried to dominate him. But Henry slammed Matt’s head on the ring apron. Then Henry tries to ram Matt into the steel stairs and Hardy moves out of the way. Henry’s head gets slammed into the ring post. Henry rolls his fat ass back into the ring and Hardy comes in and hits the leg drop. He attempts to pin Henry but Henry threw Matt off him. Then Hardy tries to take him down and starts getting his butt kicked again. Henry locked Matt into a bear hug and Hardy slammed him into the turn buckle. Hardy tried to hit the twist of fate but Henry slammed him down.
**** HENRY PINNED MATT HARDY WITH A SLAM FOR THE WIN** This match was a waste of television time. I would rather watch the Diva Search.

After the match Henry beat Hardy up some more and asked for a mike. Started talking smack at Kurt Angle and promised that at Judgment day he would finish what he started.

They showed another See No Evil Preveiw!

We come back from commercial break with the Nunzio and Vito and they are going to meet up with some girls who called them up on Vito’s cell phone. Hey it’s a Pirate! Paul Burchill comes up and says he needs a word with Nunzio. And he starts telling him a story about a large woman. And he tells him that the woman was Vito. Nunzio doesn’t believe him and calls him stupid. He tells Burchill that Vito doesn’t wear skirts he chases them. And Nunzio walks away.

Hey its Rey Rey! Rey Mysterio comes out to the ring. He is going to be facing his mystery opponent. As we go to commercial break.

We come back from the break and Rey is still in the middle of the ring. JBL comes out again…. Woo hoo. At least he leaves his limo behind. He comes and stand on the commentary table. He starts speaking in Spanish and English together. Very bad Spanish I might add. He basically reap eats what he said earlier and tells the ring announcer to give Rey a microphone. JBL says that Rey looks terrible and asks if he even knows where they are. JBL then said that they were in Alberquaque North Mexico. JBL continues to insult Rey Mysterio. And asks him if he knows what Day it is… Rey Mysterio then says May 19th. KANE COMES OUT?!?!?

Kane is going to be Mysterios opponent on MAY 19th!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH! Kane basically starts beating the hell outta Rey he kicks him and throws him into the corner. Then to the outside. Then back in the ring. Rey tries to get in some offense but it doesn’t work and he literally gets thrown halfway across the ring into the corner. Rey kicks him in the face but Kane hit Rey in mid air. We miss some of the match because of JBL’s commentary. Kane keep beating the hell outta Rey by bringing him in the ring and throwing him into the corners of the ring. Kane holds Rey way above his head and thwarts him down. Then throws him out of the ring. Rey is bleeding out of his mask. Kane throws him face first onto the steel steps and throws him back in the ring. He kick’s Rey in the head and punches him into the corner. The crowd starts to chant Eddie. Not that is does much good. Kane delivers a massive clothes line to Rey. And picks him back up by the mask. Rey starts kicking and punching Kane! He almost hits the West Coast Pop… but is stopped. Then the May 19th things comes back on. Rey hits the 619 while Kane is distracted and tries for the west coast pop. But Kane choke slams him and all confused. Then JBL comes into the ring and tells Kane to finish him off. That Rey was the one who said May 19th! Kane didn’t take too kindly to JBL saying May 19th and choke slammed JBL!
*** REY AND KANE ENDED IN A NO CONTEST!*** This was pretty clever. But we still have no idea what May 19th is.

All in all the show could have been better. But it was better than I was expecting. They had a pretty good build up to Judgment day.
