WWE House Show Results from Cardiff, Wales 4-24-06

    Hi I have just got back from the Monday house show in Cardiff.



    Before the event there was plenty of Woo’s going around and carlito t-shirts were selling like hot cakes. Then Lillian Garcia came out. The first match was:



    RVD V Matt Striker



    RVD got loads of cheers; Striker got a lot of heat. Good match with RVD dominating most of it and Striker working on the crowd. A small ECW chant started but not many people took it up, only the older wrestling fans were chanting it, the rest were just chanting RVD or Striker sucks. RVD hit the rolling thunder and the 5 star frog splash, which was great live to pick up the victory.



    Next Goldust, Snitsky V Cade and Murdoch



    Cade and Murdoch were out first and got the crowd going with a promo about how England is better than Wales. Then Goldust and Snitsky came out. Loads of comedy segments during the match including Goldust and Snitsky wearing Cade and Murdoch’s clothes. Goldust tried to get the crowd chanting for snitsky but not many people took it up. Cade and Murdoch picked up the win after Murdoch Power bombed snitsky and Cade clothes lined him to get the 3 count. After the match Snitsky wanted to lick Goldust feet.



    Mickie James V Trish Stratus



    Lots of psycho chants aimed towards mickie. Trish hit some good moves. Mickie gets the rollup for the win. After the match Mickie leaves Trish is in the ring on her own, and there was a little boy on his dads shoulders with a sign saying Trish call me, Trish say this sign and made a phone out of her fingers and pointed at the little boy.



    Chris Masters came out for a master lock challenge on Eugene. Chris Masters said that because Eugene was so dumb he could put the master lock on Eugene wearing a blindfold. As Masters was about to put the master lock on, carlito ran down and swapped places with Eugene. As Masters was about to put the master lock on, carlito hit masters with a stunner type move then Eugene and Carlito beat Masters.



    Nest was 5 Members of the spirit squad V Vis, kane



    Spirit squad cut a promo, then started dancing around the ring. Loads of good moves from the spirit squad, I think these guys have a lot of potential especially Ken Doane, who probably looks the most promising. Beat down on Vis, then Kane came in and cleaned house, hit the choke slam for the win. After the match Kane choke slammed Vis, then the Big show (who is even bigger live) attacked kane and they brawled to the back.



    Intermission and Lillian Garcia thanked the fans for coming.



    Next was a diva bra and panties match with the coach as ref.



    Victoria, Candice V torrie Wilson and Maria



    Boring match as most women’s matches are. Torrie and Maria won, then coach grabbed the mic and tried to kiss Candice then all the divas attacked coach and stripped down to his boxer shorts.



    Intercontinental title match



    Shelton Benjamin V Ric Flair (On Flairs merchandise the tag was Rick Falir)



    Flair grabbed the mic cut a promo calling Shelton a mommas boy ( I thought this gimmick was scrapped ) anyway, good match, loads of good moves from Shelton, who was really impressive live, lots of Woo’s all the way through the match. Shelton got the victory with leverage from the ropes. After the match Umaga and Alenjandro attack Flair, then flair called them back to the ring and best Umaga down.



    Next was the main event



    HHH, Edge V HBK, John Cena



    HHH’s entrance live was amazing. HHH and HBk started the match, lots of DX signs and chants, HHH stared at me as I was giving the Dx sign, which was quite cool. HHH then tagged in Edge so it was HBK and Edge who started the match. During eh middle of the match some crazy fan tried jumping the rail into the ring to hit Edge (that is what everyone thought) but was speared by some massive security guard, who looked to have knocked the fan out as it was that aggressive. Cena had a mixed reaction; all of the kids were chanting ‘Cena’ where as the older wrestling fans were chanting ‘cena Sux’. HHH and HBK never got it on once, in the end HHH and HBK both did the Dx sign triple H pedigreed Edge and walked to the back. Cena got the pin, as HBk sweet chinned edge in to an FU.







    Overall a good card, disappointing not seeing Carlito wrestle and I’m pretty sure DX will be back soon, after what was going on between HHH and HBK.
